Hey Brian. A few to try: Peretti St. James Flake, Watch City Rhythm & Blues, Wilke Back Bay and Lizzie Blood Final Verdict. All four are Va/Pers right up your alley.
Yes. This and Six Pence are two favorites. But don’t forget Stok Bullseye Flake and Gaweth’s Cabbies Mixture. Thanks for the great update. Still want you to do any of the smokers Haven Blends.
Late on this one, but for sure another vote here for The Country Squire range…some great house blends from those guys! Great to see your house repairs coming on of course, peace
Smoking my 65 Dunhill tan shell with some Northwoods and some coffee, I love that pipe! been looking for a prince that strikes me. bought some old dark fired and only smoked one bowl so the jury is still out. Thanks and take care.
Love the little dunhill, I have a 1983 straight prince dunhill.. love it! The renovations look great so far. Have you ever tried Arango Balkan Supreme? I would like to know what you think of it.
Good Evening 😊 Beauty of a pipe 👍🏼 Nice tobacco 👏🏼 Your room looks awesome 💯 Thanks for all your reviews on the different blends 👋🏼 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Happy Sunday morning! Glad you can put a smoking room in the basement. I'm still banished to the garage. 😶🌫😶🌫😶🌫 I only smoke a few blends and an occasional small cigar but I still enjoy your reviews on different types of tobacco.
My mouth is WATERING. HAVE BEEN OUT OF FARTHING FOR quite a while. Love it! Last time I commented it was in regards to Drexel VIII and then you can’t buy it anymore but I’ll take the chance and give you a tip on this one! It’s for English lovers and again it’s really cheap yet in my opinion excellent. Now don’t laugh. Best of the rest “English “. Table and floor scraps! Delicious! Let’s see how long it’s gonna be available now. Enjoy
Hey Brian, first off, I want to thank you for all you do. I find we have very similar tastes when it comes to the baccy and truly appreciate the time and effort that you give us even when you have your personal shit show happening behind the scenes, you keep it coming. I love your tobacco reviews and find them the best on the interweb. Not to say I don't love the reviews, but I think you're missing a golden opportunity to show us around your shop and the ends and out of your pipe making process. That's a whole lot of interesting content that I would, and I'm sure others would dig seeing , not much out there in the way of that going on. Anyways I know you have your hands full, let alone trade secrets, I'm sure. Enjoy your channel brother good luck on the remodel.
Thanks so much my friend I have shown some pipe making vids in the past but I never wanted my channel to be about me promoting my goods although I do on occasion I don’t want people to think that’s why I make vids but I do have some things planned in the future about pipe details thanks again
Restoration is coming along nicely. Have you reviewed any Ken Byron Ventures blends? Burley Morning Pipe is an aromatic that I like and have seen several presenters comment on.
Yeah, I catch myself relighting out of habit too. I would think most of us don't mind the rec room updates, we've all been there or we know we'll be there or something equivalent soon enough. 😊😊
Another favorite of mine. Have you reviewed GLP Cumberland? Really enjoy that blend as well for the Kentucky. Glad the home reno is coming along well. Best wishes.
Another thought is to have a battle of the blends kind of like you were doing with your bourbons. Have you made any progress on the bourbons I knew you were getting discouraged by the bourbon snobs.
I'd like to see some reviews on some lesser known watch city and country squire blends. Or it'd be interesting to get your honest opinion on some aromatic blends.
Knew it was Saturday so was looking for today’s video, had to go to your page to find it instead of it popping up on my subscription feed. Edit: Have you tried any of the country squire blends?
Good morning and Happy Saturday my friend. Looks like you're moving right along on restoration project. I don't know if you've reviewed GL Pease Telegraph Hill or not. It's a vaper so right in your wheelhouse. I don't know if Straus has anything you would want to review or not. I'll put on my thinking cap. Have a great weekend.
Hi Brian. Have you reviewed Reiner's No. 71 "Long Golden Flake?" One of my favorites, think you would like it too if you've never had it before. All the best!
Things you can try and may like: - GL Pease Montgomery (Virginia, Kentucky) - Rattray Hal O The Wynd (VaPer + Kentucky) - Dan Tobacco Ascanian No 2 (VaPer)
I'll have to look into the penny farthing, bold Kentucky is great, addictive even...!😂 Try country squire King's Highway and ruins of Windsor, Shepards pie for an English note.
More and more I appreciate Dark Fired Kentucky, for its strength and flavor, might have to try this one. Rec room looking great. You might want to try Bluegrass, it’s a lot like this one, sounds like.
BK > ODF Fo Sho! Don’t think I’ve ever had Penny but love 5 Brothers shag cut. I’ve got a blend I need to send you for a review I keep forgetting. Thought I would be in Wheeling in two weeks for State Championship but Midland got beat by 3 touchdowns last night 😬
Dan tobacco? Salty dog? Peter stokkeby? Start blending your own tobacco? lol Have viewers send their favorite B&M blends - see if you can identify them.. lol Pairing tobacco with coffee? One of my favorite blends I get from local B&M (coffee house) goes GREAT with a cup of quality coffee
Man, that's crazy that your insurance hasn't given you anything yet, looks like you're making good progress though. I don't think you've done a review on peterson's University Flake yet. Maybe you could do a video comparing it to Rattray's Wallace Flake, and which one is better
I hate insurance comp. Never want to payout, but you miss one payment and it's adios sucker! And once they do payout, up goes your premiums! Oh yeah, their getting their money back
Beans last night I searched through all of your reviews back 13 years and I could not locate any John Cotton reviews. Are those some restricted by TH-cam?
Every time I watch your videos my wife sees you and says “look at it” mimicking you. So funny
Baaahhhaaaa she’s not the first one so many guys tell me that 😂
Hey Brian. A few to try: Peretti St. James Flake, Watch City Rhythm & Blues, Wilke Back Bay and Lizzie Blood Final Verdict. All four are Va/Pers right up your alley.
Thanks for your thoughts my friend
I took your advice on C&D Exclusive and added some Virginia flake to it. Thanks so much for that tip. Now I will have to try Penny Farthing.
Awesome glad you like it it’s definitely underrated for sure
Your room looks great it’s come a long way and a lot of work. Have a good weekend 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Tony glad it happened now at age 54 not 64 Baahhhaaa
Basement is coming along! Love those smaller codger pipes!!!
Thanks bud yes I love the group 3 size my go to
Yes. This and Six Pence are two favorites. But don’t forget Stok Bullseye Flake and Gaweth’s Cabbies Mixture. Thanks for the great update. Still want you to do any of the smokers Haven Blends.
If you don’t have Smokers Havens we can arrange it my friend.
Think I did a couple I’ll have to look but not sure if I have any in my cellar
Late on this one, but for sure another vote here for The Country Squire range…some great house blends from those guys!
Great to see your house repairs coming on of course, peace
Thanks I’ll be getting some of those soon
Sounds like a heck of a project. I recommend c&d big and burley. Bow legged bear and Chenets cake
I’ve done two of them but didn’t try the Big Burley I’ll have to look
Smaller pipes are excellent for that shag cut. Some Mark Ryan blends are shag cut and are good for a quick smoke.
Yes I love smaller pipes in general now ive changed so much use to love Boswells jumbo size
@beans316 Two Friends lineup is made by C&D. Not sure if you tried them out yet.
Smoking my 65 Dunhill tan shell with some Northwoods and some coffee, I love that pipe! been looking for a prince that strikes me. bought some old dark fired and only smoked one bowl so the jury is still out. Thanks and take care.
Nice I love old Dunhills
Love the little dunhill, I have a 1983 straight prince dunhill.. love it! The renovations look great so far.
Have you ever tried Arango Balkan Supreme? I would like to know what you think of it.
Yes my friend I did a review on that one
Brian,
Always good to re visit a blend. Hope you are doing well. Blessings from Gettysburg Pa…..
I would call the insurance company and tell em when your bill is due it's in processing, you'll eventually get it.😅 Basement is looking good.
Funny thing is I got a bill from the restoration company last night they haven’t been paid yet either total bullshit
G.L. Pease Navigator is a great blend along with Geometrie. They both are Virginia based blends.
I have both I believe I’ll write them down
Great to see you again Beans. Have a great weekend.
Thanks buddy
Dear Sir, always enjoy to watch your pipe (tobacco) expertise +++
Thanks so much my friend
Good Evening 😊 Beauty of a pipe 👍🏼 Nice tobacco 👏🏼 Your room looks awesome 💯 Thanks for all your reviews on the different blends 👋🏼 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Thanks so much my friend
Bold Kentucky is indeed a superb blend. I love Virginia s and Kentucky’s but can’t say I’m a big fan of penny farthing though.
You like what you like that’s what is so nice about the hobby so many blends haha

Happy Sunday morning! Glad you can put a smoking room in the basement. I'm still banished to the garage. 😶🌫😶🌫😶🌫 I only smoke a few blends and an occasional small cigar but I still enjoy your reviews on different types of tobacco.
Thanks my friend I’m allowed to smoke pipes in recroom but not cigars 😂
My mouth is WATERING. HAVE BEEN OUT OF FARTHING FOR quite a while. Love it! Let’s see how long it’s gonna be available now. Enjoy
I’ve heard it’s not bad from several people I’ll have to look into it
Did you ever happen to complete your pt2 of underrated baccys? I don't remember seeing that or the overrated baccy vids. Those would be great to see.
No I don’t think I have, I’ll have to dig through some stuff thanks
Hey Brian, first off, I want to thank you for all you do. Just from memory, I do not remember many of the Seattle pipe club blends.
But again, revisit some and see how your taste has changed
Thanks for the thoughts
Another thought is to have a battle of the blends kind of like you were doing with your bourbons. Have you made any progress on the bourbons I knew you were getting discouraged by the bourbon snobs.
Nope all my bottles are boxed up in back of my cellar can’t even get to them right now 😂
Captain earls, honor blend, you did one that was 25 years old
Yes it was just ok to me
This one caught my eye because while I’m not big on straight VaPers, I really like ‘em with Kentucky thrown in, e.g., Fire Storm.
Thanks for watching it’s a great blend to me
Enjoyable videos as always. Thanks B. Say how about reviewing some Ken Byron Ventures if you have any of them.
I have done some I’ll have to get some more
