Oh and did anybody see the frontlights of the bobcat aren't right? I never got why they make such a mistake on the old models. I saw this even back then on ps2. And yes, i have the infamouse german first release of gta 3, with the intro with the blue police cars. Back then and after some trailers, i was really disappointed from the grafics. Liked the colorful style more. XD The same with the xbox and pc version of sa. The cars looked so dull. Ps2 Version has sharper outlines of the light effekt of the cars and the colors are more intensive. It looked like the cars would be out of steel with a good paintjob, not like an old car out of plastic.... But as i played samp a few years ago, most people told me: No, pc version lookes better. Higher resolution and textures and if you want reflections, use enb.... Wow. The grafic was still not right. Missed also light effects from the sun and all.... *sigh* i still used alot of mods, to get almost the old design. Yes, also with enb and the right car models and stuff.... GTA/ DE is not for your age group. It’s to attract new audiences with fancier HD graphics and a new look than what the old Ps2 GTAs had. If you don’t like them then tough luck because it wasn’t made for old school gamers of GTA Ps2 in every way
Walder Frey of the Twins. I don't know how it is on PC, but flash storage is much faster than a mechanical drive. Perhaps if the game is on an SSD it might be faster but I would have to see a side by side comparison to know for sure. In any case, the load times on the mobile version are lightning fast especially compared to the PS2 version.
This has not much to do with drive speed. On the mobile version of gta 3, it creates a little loading cache so it can load and stream textures much better. This was first introduced in the ps2 version of San Andreas I believe, but hasn't been available for pc users, until someone made a mod.
A random person two big ones from memory, the cursor doesn't stay inside the window if you have dual monitors, and you have to lock it at a certain frame rate to prevent Claude from flying off of inclines at Mach speed and dying
The reason you have to lock it 30 fps is because 1. gta 3 was developed for the ps2 and PORTED to the pc and xbox. The ps2 ran its games at 30 fps, with modern graphics cards you could easily run gta 3 at 2000+ fps, the game acts wierd at that point. 2. I know its hard in 2017 to do but your eyes will get used to 30 fps, trust me the steam version is a LOT less buggy then when we had it on the ps2 back in the day.
KataCoasters actually the issue disappears if you use a frame limiting program such as screen capture software. I've watched people stream it at 60 fps without issues. so if you use a frame limiter like Nvidia inspector you should be able to run the game at your native refresh rate.

Shame LCS was not ported by the same studio that ported 3, VC i SA. LCS looks worse than GTA III, even though the game needs more processing power than SA.

I know the comment is old but PC users have ClassicAxis to make up for that, it basically ports SA's' mouse rotation mechanics to III and VC for a way better mouse-keyboard gameplay, it supports controllers as well but you must have GInput installed

A lot of the improved assets all originated from the original Xbox port done by Rockstar Vienna back in the day. The only reason the PC version doesn't have them is because the PC version predates the work Vienna did and Rockstar never patched them in. You can mod them in though.
@@Johnson0717 The mobile version literally uses Xbox graphics. Also not all remasters look better than the original, sometimes they look worse, and sometimes they literally have no difference. (I'm looking at you, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection)
Another thing - Lots of Chinatown textures on PC were traditional Chinese character (Hong Kong, Taiwan) But on the mobile version its simplified character (Mainland China). (ie 欢迎到唐人街 8:00 is simplified)
It is pretty hard to play it on mobile. I noticed there are bugs on it also where he can't get into the car by his first garage and cars that are supposed to vanish after being blown up etc stay there even after a save.
Why is it that Rockstar puts better graphics on their mobile releases when PC is the most powerful system. All they would really need to do is an update, but there may be people who love nostalgic PS2 feel of GTA3, GTAVC, GTASA, etc. What I'm trying to say is if they should remaster a game onto a system, they should put on PC. I do like how they double the amount of pixels on their mobile releases, I suppose there is no point of the 2D, 3D, and HD Universes. I guess what I'm really trying to say is that they should make GTA6 (will be released in fall of 2021 or maybe even 2022) a game that is a combination of GTA San Andreas and GTA4, but improving on those two games. Physics, graphics, stat system, they should have something like 720x720 and a wide range of colors.

Yeah. They changed some stuff in the game to make it less difficult on mobile. For example, in 'Taking out the Laundry' there are only 2 vans instead of 3. Or that thing you mentioned.

I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at ---ht. They’d have to add a lot of stuff in order for people to want to play it. This game is fun to play, and specially interesting for those who like that connection between the three games of the 3D era, but for casual players, it’d be uninteresting to play.
This is just nitpicking, but I get the feeling that sometimes people use the word "remastered" with too much liberty without knowing very much what it means. Of course, it took off from bands re-releasing their albums remastered and people adopted the term to talk about something that was improved in general. Actually, remastering means taking the sources that are going to form an album, order them (in other words, making the track list), tweak the volume on each track so they all sound equal, tweak the EQ a little bit, add fade-outs and fade-ins and compressing the audio. Maybe you can apply the term to graphics when you take the high-resolution source and reinsert it in the game in higher resolution than the original, kind of what they did with some of the textures for the cars, but in no way you can "remaster" a menu, that doesn't really make any sense.

Brian_Jancia I am a GTA expert, and sincerely I prefer the GTA 3 mods for Mobile Version. Is not true that PC has cooler mods, I sincerely prefer and simultanealy think that are cooler the Mobile Version one's, because : 1. Are more portable. 2. Cleo for GTA 3 and you can directly put cars, change skin, etc... etc... more features. 3. Mods on Mobile Version for GTA 3 are basically more expansive and more realistic than PC's one's. 4. Finally, the GTA 3 mods on Mobile Version are cooler because there are more, and more pretty good, like Spider-Man mod, Bat-Man mod, GTA 4 mod, etc... etc...
What I don't get is why they decided not to bring a lot of the graphical improvements to the digital PC versions. C'mon, are they saying they CAN'T update the PC version on, say, steam instead of letting it rot like they have? Heck, if they marketed it as dlc for a 99 cent price or around that people would probably buy it. DLC for an old game? Why not? I know there's a mod, you showed it in the video-- but heck, just the complete lack of support for their older titles makes me sad :/

@Soriotian strangely, the vc mobile port was uncut in germany. Gta 3 and sa not. (except the international cuts like rhe hatian and cuban stuff...)

Just get the xbox mod, the mobile version is a mix of the xbox and ps2. It's graphically better then the pc and ps2

Putting gta 3 on mobile was one of the best decisions by rockstar. It improves on the original version in so many ways...
I remember having this on my smartphone and was quite amazed this is a great port. Its not just an copy paste from pc but actually put time into.

*Is the mobile version the same as the XBOX version? Also, did they use "blocks" for the character models so they could be gibbed when shot or was it just a technical change in development where they couldn't be gibbed for glitched reasons?*

They’d have to add a lot of stuff in order for people to want to play it. This game is fun to play, and specially interesting for those who like that connection between the three games of the 3D era, but for casual players, it’d be uninteresting to play.

In my opinion, GTA III on mobile is much better. By graphics of course.
This is just nitpicking, but I get the feeling that sometimes people use the word "remastered" with too much liberty without knowing very much what it means. Of course, it took off from bands re-releasing their albums remastered and people adopted the term to talk about something that was improved in general. Actually, remastering means taking the sources that are going to form an album, order them (in other words, making the track list), tweak the volume on each track so they all sound equal, tweak the EQ a little bit, add fade-outs and fade-ins and compressing the audio. Maybe you can apply the term to graphics when you take the high-resolution source and reinsert it in the game in higher resolution than the original, kind of what they did with some of the textures for the cars, but in no way you can "remaster" a menu, that doesn't really make any sense.

Um. Mobile version of GTA 3 came in 2011 while Vice City in 2003. Some assets were reused from VC.

The bugs, the various downgrades from the mobile version, and the fact that they didn't even try to hide the fact that this is just the mobile version lazily ported to modern consoles.

Brian_Jancia I am a GTA expert, and sincerely I prefer the GTA 3 mods for Mobile Version. Is not true that PC has cooler mods, I sincerely prefer and simultanealy think that are cooler the Mobile Version one's, because : 1. Are more portable. 2. Cleo for GTA 3 and you can directly put cars, change skin, etc... etc... more features. 3. Mods on Mobile Version for GTA 3 are basically more expansive and more realistic than PC's one's. 4. Finally, the GTA 3 mods on Mobile Version are cooler because there are more, and more pretty good, like Spider-Man mod, Bat-Man mod, GTA 4 mod, etc... etc...

What I don't get is why they decided not to bring a lot of the graphical improvements to the digital PC versions. C'mon, are they saying they CAN'T update the PC version on, say, steam instead of letting it rot like they have?
Heck, if they marketed it as dlc for a 99 cent price or around that people would probably buy it. DLC for an old game? Why not?
