@@tnawcwvictoria good point. the structure looked more of an NBC show. Im sure Grundy had connections over at the peacock. Probably no slots available at the time since Wheel and Super Password had the other. With them promoting this show for a few years now (as Party Line) and with Bruce's limited availability, ABC with them reserving just a half hour for possible game show use snatched up Hot Streak soon after All Star Blitz was cancelled.
I'm sure adults today may not have realized that Marc once announced for Bruce Forsyth back in 1986. This revival is like a return to his announcing days, of sorts.
Holy Hell it's REALLY weird hearing Marc do the Reg Grundy spiel at the end, too. I mean hearing Gene Wood say it is offputting because of the fanfare that Reg Grundy had, but Marc saying it with the fanfare?
21 months later, on January 11, 1988, the show made it to Germany, and it had a first run of 12 years. During Germany's last season of their first run, I was born, because this show lasted until October 20, 2000, and I was born on July 29 of that same year.
@@tomdalfonzo9959 I wonder if there was ever any consideration for that..given the syndicated version of Card Sharks that ran along side the CBS version for a year from 86 to 87, debuted in the fall. The timing of that woulda made it possible with this show off the air by April.
R.I.P. Sir Bruce, you deserved better!
IMO, this show belonged to NBC Daytime, not abc Daytime, especially since Reg Grundy's $ale of the Century & SCRABBLE were on NBC Daytime

I don't know how long this show would have lasted if it had been syndicated. But ABC was definitely the wrong place for this wonderful show.
he managed to get everything he could ever want in life,
he even got the yanks saying NICE
Cheerio to you Bruce. We will all miss you.
This is far better then some of our UK quiz shows, let's get a series made for the UK!
It has just been announced that Sir Bruce Forsyth has passed on at age 89. RIP!
Wow!!!!!!
Bruce the best
RIP Sir Bruce. It was nice to see you to see you...
zymaymyn NICE!
NICE!!!
I love the beat to this theme song
The Announcer is Marc Summers, from DOUBLE DARE.
It indeed is. Double Dare debuted after this show ended, though.
This was the last time he announced a game show until he announced the Double Dare revival on 6/25/18.

We’ll wish you luck of Bruce Forsyth!
The audience reminds me of American Bandstand which was also Videotaped at ABC Television Center HOLLYWOOD
Dont be surprised In the future, Buzzr do another Lost and Found event and airs this show ill be freaked out
I so remember this episode. ..very big talent in UK. Somehow this show didn't get the ratings I guess..RIP Bruce
It went up against Wheel of Fortune and the first half-hour of The Price is Right. Nothing could go up against those shows.
Should’ve been on NBC. Surprised Reg Grundy would
play this on ABC when most of his shows were on NBC

How would you feel if this was in BUZZR Lost and Found?
He should’ve hosted the 80s revival of Card Sharks
Bruce Forsyth should've hosted more game shows after Hot Streak certainly.

@@ajk I heard that he was considered as one of the hosts for Card Sharks.
@@JoeyLamontagne It'd have made sense considering he hosted the UK equivalent and all so long
I love Marc summers

Оказывается тут надо не просто объяснить побыстрее..а объяснить непопулярными словами..чтобы последующему участнику было проще
Ironically some of the people in the end credits worked on Scrabble with Chuck Woolery.
It was a Reg Grundy production, so I wouldn’t be surprised
