  • We helped this lady with a overgrown property she had in front of her house that was blocking a sewer. We thought it would take us at most a hour but we got caught in a storm and waited it out in the truck. We’re glad we got to help this lady out!

    You guys need to start charging the city for doing all the hard work that you do.

    • @CraigGrant-sh3in
      @CraigGrant-sh3in ปีที่แล้ว +23

      You can't just send them a bill. It has to be contracted and put out for bid . I doubt the city would even hire it out. Why hire it out when they know tax payers will get tired of it and take care of it themselves of ignore it like the city does

    Storm drainage clearing is important! It wasnt done much in Richmond VA before 2003, then
    Hurricane Isabel came through and filled up the Shockoe Bottom Bathtub, and several people drowned cuz they were trapped in their cars, it filled so fast. Turns out, there were storm drains that emptied into the James River that hadnt been cleared in over 20 years! Many people didn’t know they were there!

    Now you are doing several things. Not only are you finding and fixing areas that badly need recovery but you are becoming an intermediary, because you are bi-lingual, to help people who are not getting a voice. Thank you for clearing an area that definitely needed it but also in restoring some hope of help and kindness in the neighborhood.

      Sadly, trash in the streets seems to be everywhere. Wish people would just leave it in their car, then clean out their car once they get home. Yes... poopy diapers, fast food bags and ALL that stays in your car until you can throw it away AT HOME!! Come on!!

      @@gloriaa.garcia3985 I'm from Texas, but live in S. Carolina right now. Texas is much better about litter pick up. In S. Carolina it's not uncommon to see mattresses, box springs, furniture, bags of garbage, TV's, etc., on roadsides. It's unbelievable.

    It took M & D Lawn Care just one day what it took the city of Houston, Texas six years to do. And if the father and son duo hadn’t shown up to whack down that growth and unblock the sewer drain, the growth would’ve grown some more and the city of Houston would have kept right on sitting on their butts and not done anything. The lawn care outfit did an outstanding job. Truth.

    That lady was nice to pay, I'm glad she realized how hard you guys work! Also, citizens need to call the city and file a report. I've done it many times here in Austin and have gotten results that way!

    Wet or dry--you guys get the job done! Since this doesn’t look like a ritzy neighborhood the city wouldn’t consider it a high priority area. These neighbors deserve the same consideration as any other area. The size of the homes and the income of its people should not be a determining factor! Y’all rock!! ❤

    I know it’s not glamorous but you really helped that neighborhood by clearing the sewer. You can feel like you don’t matter when a problem like that is unaddressed by the city. Not being able to see beyond the overgrowth would bother me as a resident, as people could hide etc. Also the sewer needs to flow! Thank you once again! ❤

We are lucky here, all seasons we have council employees mowing, I’ve said this before; an empty block of land has to be maintained by owner, If not, council do it and the owner has to pay.
