I really enjoyed this clip, 5 stars! That track looks way harder than most supercross tracks looks today. Today the track are in to good shape and it's all about rhyth sections and bowl corners.
Thanks, KawasakiRider91. I agree with your assessment of today's tracks. This season, the most challenging tracks were designed by ex-racers like Larocco, Pastrana, and Carmichael. They were the toughest tracks and interestingly, James Stewart didn't win on any of them.
I don't think this is the exact race. I've seen that video where Brooks pushes his bike over the finish line, and he is going the opposite way on the track. I think I read somewhere they ran some kind of race backwards. Don't know what it was though. :)
Second 35, "Mechanics were busy readjusting the machine.",--and the Mechanic kicks the hell out of the bike in front of Bayle. I thought that was pretty funny.
You hear the announcer say at 4:40 - I don't see how you can't keep him out of the top 3 - which will win him the title. Well - it didn't work out did it. The entire SX community was shocked. The fact I'm still bothered by is 21 years later tells me Bradshaw still feels the sting of a title he should have had.
JMB had problem with honda because he wanted a nsr 250 road race !!!. He had to go out us supercross ! Stanton had push JMB few races before and war against Stanton was open What could he do ? Win and give title to Bradshow ? WHY BRADSHOW PUSHED BAYLE AT START ? Perhaps if he didn't that .. He had the title ! JMB killed him on this race (imagine you with JMB behind you during all race ..you will die) If Bradshow wanted title he had to say... JMB is the boss. ! Bradshow never accepted that
See that? That's Bob "the Hurricane" Hannah...HE is the GOAT (Greatest of All Time)...if you were to take Bob "The Hurricane" Hannah at the absolute physical peak of his career & put him up against Ricky Carmichael at his peak & put them on the same bike, same track, same time...Hannah would win but they're from Era's of the sport that are separated by 2 decades
IMaDEM0N got to see him race Marty Smith and others at U.S. Grand Prix 125 back in the 70’s. Hannah was amazing. Dominated Europes best at the time including World Champion Gaston Rahier teammate of Roger DeCoster.

Totally agree about the tracks back then...My wife and I talk about that all the time....The tracks then were so much more technical and rough...
Gotta love those coloseum races. Sorry if i spelled that wrong.

Those were the days!
No problem. I hoped someone would enjoy this.
Sure a lot of people enjoyed this reace and the rest of the season. I miss the times when you didn´t know who was going to win.

2 strokes ARE motocross! I miss being able to talk to my buddies during the race.
No way man, 3 strokes are the future of the sport. Everyone knows this.
i agree
JMB smoked em at Glen Helen and he was riding with a rear flat tire. His bike was so fast, faster then my CR500.
Ah the old days off box vans and fixing your bike by kicking it.
Rick Johnson owns all these guys.
