The most impressive thing about his passing is that almost all of these passes lead to layups. Many guys who get a lot of assists just attack and kick out to a shooter but Lonzo is so good he gives his teammates wide open high percentage shots.
Lonzo for me is the real definition of a great passer...same with Cp3 ,Kidd, Nash etc...for me it's rare to see those type of passers nowadays, who actually make any of his teammates better....I don't really think LeBron,Harden or Wb's assist numbers justify how they elevate any of their teammates, unless you are a spot up shooter or pure shooter, then yeah you fit their playstyle, but if you actually want a legit passer that elevates his teammates,Lonzo and Cp3 are the right guy!! Doesn't care about assist numbers , doesn't stat pad, just pure playmaking!!!! I can also put Steph and Doncic there!!! definitely don't stat pad like other

@@gerricgomez4585 It is you have 2 young foreign players, both Slavic and can speak Spanish, they compliment each others games. This is only their first season together and they already found a rhythm thr last month or so playing together so trust me, those 2 are just as good together as Lonzo and Zion. Plus this is only Doncic's second year and KP is coming off an ACL tear in where he hasn't played for 2 years so give them time.

The thing that makes him such a good passer is that he’s not afraid to turn the ball over. He’ll go for a pass that could be intercepted or that will go through for an easy layup because he knows those passes have a high value to the team even if it lowers his assist to turnover ratio

Just because one guy has more assists doesn't necessarily mean that they're a "better" passer. It's easy to gets lots of assists in a familiar system.
*Like half of John's assists were to Karl in pick and roll. Lol. He was definitely a smart passer but not the most gifted passer.. Even NBA players themselves are literally astonished by Lonzo's passing abilities and he's only been in the league for 2 and a half years!*
