2 years ago I was watching TV and I fell asleep watching it .Something made me open my eyes suddenly and there staring at me was a young lad .It was the middle of the day and there was no cold chill etc etc He was about 12 or 13 years of age and he looked as solid as you and I .He was dressed in light blue pyjamas and looking like he had just got out of bed ,his back was to the stairs door and I could no longer see the light switch ,nothing on his feet .He looked for all the world like someone who lived with me and my 40 year old son Except I didn't know him from Adam .As soon as I blinked he had gone .If someone had entered the room they would have asked who is that ? And apart from raising 3 boys of my own I have led a normal life .I am now 82 years of age .Nothing has happened before that day and nothing since .but I will never forget and I wonder who he was .He looked as real as you and I ..My home was built in 1899/1901 .
@moose this isn't the kind of question my mother encouraged me to ask but I wondering if you ever had a miscarriage (like my mum did before I was born). Either way, it's notable that there was no fear or chill, hopefully that means no torment or discomfort anywhere. I liked your story - someone wanted you to notice them - which you have.
When my mum was a little girl the bungalow where she was brought up was built over the top of where a monastery had once stood. My mum saw a monk come up from the floor and walk round her bed,she called to my grandmother for help but herself was pinned to the wall by a ghost. My grandfather saw half a horse disappear into someone’s home.on the same street. Thank you for your stories Richard and merry Christmas to you and yours.! xx
Here in the alpine region of Bavaria, we have the same tradition of telling ghost stories. Is it any wonder when the winds are rattling shutters and rafters, when floorboards were creaking as temperatures were not stable in the houses only a hundred years ago and for centuries before. People kept hearing and "seeing" things that were or were not what they thought. Each generation had been told eerie stories by their grandparents and it all came together nicely to folklore and traditions... I'm in my 60s now and remember well winter/Christmass/New Year's Eve in an old house in a wee village in the rural Bavarian alpine region. Granny was one heck of a story teller. She scared the ... out of us kids. I'm smiling while typing away... wish I could watch granny's face and listen to her voice only once more telling me a story that gives me goosebumps. We all love the comfort of our modern world with smarthomes where there's no noise unless we make it, where it's cosy and warm without a draft... and yet, there are still ghosts in this world, are there not. Do I miss the old times? Yes, I do but perhaps that's what comes with old age. Still, sitting by the wood stove with only candles lighting the room, watching and listening to the fire, sipping hot chocolate or tea, enjoying a good ghost story while the wind is chasing around the house causing all kind of noise... yes, I definitely would love that right now.
Hello Richard, I was born in Liverpool in 1962. We lived in an old house on Dock road. We had a Young Border Collie that would occasionally bark at the stairs. One day my mum was pushed down those stairs. We do not not why or who it was. But we had a spirit in that home. We were never hurt except mum.
Richard I'm currently in Nuremberg, we're visiting the Christmas market and we're now in our hotel, I cannot wait to listen to this and finish the night off with a good story. Thank you for all your videos. Every night after work, I look forward to winding down and chilling to your channel x Merry Christmas x
More amazing Richard Felix . 🎉🎉. Certainly a true legend of ghost story telling . Although Richard, don't forget.... If anything, it's not the dead that will do you harm . It's the living .😉
Thank you, Richard. It's past witching hour here in darkened South Wales, and your tales and haunting, personal anecdotes are an absolute gift, as I - somewhat lately -cook a Yuletide nutloaf. Merry Christmas to you and yours. ❤
I feel that young boy asking for a nurse could have been helped to cross over to the light by telling him he had died and his family is waiting for him in heaven.! I visualise very bright light around lost souls and I’m sure it actually works.!
Hi Richard. A merry xmas and best wishes to you and the family in this holiday season, and indeed throughout the coming year. Thank you so much for brining to all your subscribers some great Xmas Ghost Stories. Mike East Yorkshire.
REALLY MISS HIM ON TV …. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ON TELEVISION… unlike that woman who replaced him that runs around, screaming, like a wild banshee at every shadow, making a total mockery of paranormal investigations
I concur with you in that the ghosts I've seen didn't scare me. However, the demonic entities are different and i knew they intended harm. The senses are definitely different. Very good video dear.
Your so calming and interesting Richard, I listen to you in bed and I relax, nice not to have people run around screaming every time they hear a tap or floor board creak, you have a genuine love for what you do and do and it for that and not the fame or attention ♥️
Dear Richard, thanks so much for your video. Some great stories. We need you back on TV again! I hope you and the family have a great christmas and a prosperous new year when it comes.
Fantastic ghost stories richard thank you it's refreshing to hear some good old ghost stories at christmas and a nice cosy setting to tell them a wish you and your family a merry christmas and a happy new new.
Thanks Richard thoroughly enjoyed these stories, you definitely have the right voice to tell a spooky story. Perfect for Christmas time. Have a great Christmas and happy new year 🌼
I had lived in a haunted house and was asked by more than one person how i could stay....things flew across the room, cold spots, weird noises, venetian blinds lifting away from windows and hanging in midair, shadow people etc...my response was "i have a mortgage".... I'm staying. I did leave a few years later due to the break up of me and my now ex, but offered to be the one who stayed....it was the only house on the street not burglarized at that time, i figured it was a good anti-burglary thing.
It is so good to see this again after probably a decade. I watched it for Christmas a few years and then lost it. Thank you Mr Felix for putting this online.
Merry Christmas Richard!🎅🏼 I absolutely love your videos, and I always thought that you were the best part of "Most Haunted ", you were the only one with integrity. Hope that you and your family have a joyous holiday season. 🎄☃️
I could listen to Richard Felix all day (and night). Thank you, Richard, and best wishes to you and yours this holiday season and in the year to come. ❤ from 🗽 p.s. I did have an encounter with a full-body apparition, but I'll save the tale for another day. It's something I'll never forget. 👻
Lost count of how many times I have watched this Richard I agree with you we do not see Christmas Ghost Stories on TV so much these days. Really enjoyed this and other videos you have posted on your channel. I am very much into the Paranormal and Ghosts too like you. I used to work in hotel located on the South Coast My role was a Night Porter and although the Management said the hotel was not haunted I can tell you for a fact it was. Mainly in the Bar area, I used to see Orbs on the CCTV Monitor in the bar on a regular basis so much so that I captured some footage of the monitor on My phone one night. What impressed Me was the fact that the CCTV monitor was in the office in the back of the reception area which was know where near the bar. I sat and called out to and asked if they could show me more and they did. That is when I started to film I would love to share the footage with you Richard as these Orbs responded to My voice and requests. One thing I can say is that I was never frightened in the slightest.
Really enjoyed these ghoulish stories, especially at night!! It helps me sleep and my favourite tale was the spirit in Derby Jail, that must've been scary for Richard, I would be terrified - he was very brave to stay there!!😀👻
Richard, what a joy it is to listen to you, my goosebumps had goosebumps. Very atmospheric. Thank you for all your hard work collecting and sharing ghost stories.
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight Not a footprint to be seen A kingdom of isolation And it looks like I'm the queen The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside- so of course it's time to settle in
I was yanked from the feet outve my bed after shortly moving into a new whare.(home) My daughter told me of her experience when i was out one night. A dark figure in her door way. Me apparently. My wee autistic son would chat away to someone. Our house was heavy. Til my father passed. I have his ashes at home. Needless to say its quiet.
My Husband and I live in an apartment in Philadelphia. We have seen ghosts numerous times. Also we see pets that have passed..sometimes feeling them jump on the bed. Yes, we do believe in the paranormal!!
I smiled when you described going though the Radio Times looking for ghost stories. I do exactly the same thing every year and mark anything I want to watch, listen to or record. Some years the result of my eager search is rather disappointing, but there are plenty of dramas and stories available now on various platforms now. There is nothing quite like the frisson of anticipation felt on seeing that a new or favourite ghost story is going to be broadcast though. I live in hope...
I'm reading Tales of unease by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle over Christmas. A superb little book of short tales, great storytelling and ambience btw....subscribed
Merry Christmas, Richard Felix. It has been many years since I went on one of your ghost walks in Derby. I left Derby 20 years ago. The tavern in St Peters was that the Green Man? l lived and worked there when it was the biker pub. I spent many weekends camping I the grounds of Tutbury Castle, and the only time anything happened was sat outside the tent, one night, and a ghostly howl was heard. You really remind me of my childhood with my grandmother.I grew up with her and life was a different place with my peers.seemed to miss a generation! Her home was complete with spirits I soon rea!used that my new friends were completely invisible from them!my childhood was good one with many happy days with my friends🤗 who no one else could see lol. Since those days and now 70 I bless being who I am and met may others who I ,an relate to. And to this day, I feel very privileged and chosen. Thank you for making us welcome🙏
That was so interesting as we’ve just spent a few days in a 15thC thatched cottage with our family over Xmas. The children loved it and I loved it as it had such a happy feeling about it but one of the dogs kept barking at the wall and it wouldn’t stop. Above his head was a very old photo of an old woman standing outside the door. She had obviously lived there so I wondered whether there was any connection.
This must be a Brittish tradition because as an American I've never heard of this. I'm surrounded by ghosts and spitits all the time. Some have been terrifying but most are harmless. Great story. Thanks.
You asked an interesting question, Richard. Are ghosts real, or are they in our head? More than 40 years ago, when I was in my 20s and so always slept through the night without interruption, I was alone as my husband was away. I awoke suddenly to find a red-headed young man, wearing a blue open-collared aertex top, standing next to my bed a few feet away, looking down at me. His expression was almost tender. Startled, I sat up and scooted backwards across the bed. He stayed there a few beats more, then he turned away and, as he turned, he faded away. I called the dog in but she turned tail at the door and fled. After I had calmed down, I realised I wasn’t frightened. The reason for my question is that I have been very short-sighted since childhood. Without my glasses I can only see clearly for a few inches then everything becomes blurred. But I could see him in detail without them. I have had a number of supernatural experiences but that is the only time I have (knowingly) seen what I believe to be a ghost. I love your videos.
I have had many encounters, but have only seen one entity. I say entity because we really don't know what it was. It haunted my sister's house and showed itself to many people: my sister, her husband, her children, me, the neighbors. I saw it twice. Otherwise, my encounters are usually auditory, except for the ghost bacon.
I believe animals are in the afterlife..i was at my mothers friend's house and was playing in the hallway and something caught my eye at the top of the stairs..the sun was shining bright that day and there stood a dog who looked exactly like lassie...i promise you that i called it and it rab down the hall with its tail wagging..i ran to ask my mums friend what she called her dog...she then told me she didn't have a dog...i remember it so vividly
Interesting stories, Richard. You shared your view on the question I always raise: are ghosts some unexplained phenomena like replaying of an event given the right conditions, or are they spirit entities who were once flesh and blood? You thought both. Maybe many more explanations besides. Another theory I have heard is that they are more prevalant where there is a water source nearby, whether dam, river, stream, moat, well etc. Would appreciate an elaboration based on your experience.
When I was younger there was an old convent near where I lived. There were rumours about 'The White Nun' so me and a friend decided to check it out. We met some older kids at the gates, one of whom said he would show us where the nun was reported to walk. So we followed through some trees and along a path heading up towards the convent. When the entrance to the building was in sight the older kid said 'She's been seen at the doorway just there' and at that point his friend who had run ahead came bursting out from behind a tall bush next the main entrance screaming. My friend and I both turned and fled, when we reached the other kids they could barely contain themselves. Frightening at the time, funny looking back.

Merry Christmas, Richard Felix. It has been many years since I went on one of your ghost walks in Derby. I left Derby 20 years ago. The tavern in St Peters was that the Green Man? l lived and worked there when it was the biker pub.

I think it is the ex resident that has not moved on .
Richard.
Wonderful thank you ❤
Loved this Merry Christmas Richard ❤

Merry Christmas Richard!!Love this episode very much!!Cheers!!!
Hi Richard Nappy Xmas and have a happy new year, or and ....Boo 👻 from the ghosts out there

Happy New Year Richard! 👍

Brilliant…
This must be a Brittish tradition because as an American I've never heard of this. I'm surrounded by ghosts and spitits all the time. Some have been terrifying but most are harmless. Great story. Thanks.
I think that The Ghost phenomena is an English speaking people's thing.
Greetings from across the Pond.
Richard.
This is exactly what I was looking for to accompany my glass of sherry - thank you 🙏.
Love a good ghost story Richard
Can't beat em,
Richard.
Excellent sir, 👍
Very good Richard
Thank you.
Richard.
UR Welkommen. A new hour long special each Christmas in the future.@@RichardFelixChannel
Hope you do one for this Xmas Richard, and hope you are in good health matey💙👍
10 mins in love it,
Enjoyed the second story once the music had stopped. Looking forward to hearing the rest of the stories.
Can we take the background sound effects down a smidge?
It’s a little much for me.
Thanks For Sharing Anyway.

Water plays such a big part in in the Ghost business.
The number of haunted sites that are wet or damp.
More to come .
Richard.
Nice' setting, wiuld like to see the rest of living room & house. Is abit' concerning, how close that chair is, to that fire' 😊 but nice place'
