The late Princess Diana was giving only one tiara for her use, and she received no tiara as a gift. Most of the late Princess Diana's fabulous gifts came from other foreign royal families mostly the Arab royal families. Fergie, the Duchess of York did however receive a tiara as a gift which she still owns. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburg was giving these made-up left-over pieces of supposedly Queen Victoria crown and later she received a cute little tiara made with left-over aquamarine that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Princess Ann herself does not have a jewelry collection worthy of a Princess so the little jewels Meghan was giving are nothing to be bragged about or to impress anyone. Meghan Markle herself can purchase jewels far more valuable and more beautiful than the little trinkets she received from the British royal family.

The royal jewellery does not belong the king/queen. They are the property of state, along with the castles etc. They actually own very little.

Also with that, most of them were from Diana. The only Tiara given to Diana by the queen was the lovers knot tiara, which Kate wears now.
