Thanks for your comment. I have read some threads on online forums about G650GS cranking but not starting, and the most prevalent issue seems to be the decompression lever. I just went to the garage to start it out and it worked just fine but it sure is a concern since the decompression lever on this bike has not been replaced yet. I'll contact the dealership. The battery is not the issue, just the result of being drained from too much engine compression. Search G650GS HOT START ISSUE. BMW has issued a service bulletin and your bike needs a new decompression lever installed. Get the bike to the shop and demand it be serviced under warranty. Go to F650.co.uk or advrider.com under THUMPERS. There are huge threads on this issue. Good luck.
Hey there Nice video. I have the same bike like you, but until now I don´t have this problems. But what I saw in your video is your left indicator is broken off. Yeah I broke me indicator as well and it wasn´t a heavy crash. I only laid down my bike 2 times. After that it was off like yours. Your bike looks like you didn’t have a heavy crash too. So what happend with your indicator??
oh that indicator... I laid the bike down on the same side 2-3 times at 0mph and it finally broke off, but it is back in operation with a little bit of super glue! I should go buy a new one soon. did you replace yours?
Beer, guns and bikes Hi No I didn´t replaced it. I used a electrical tape. Its fexible and its black, so you can´t see it. And if my bike fall down again and break my indicator again I take a new strip.
Hi I've heard the Sertoa have been recalled worldwide due to a software problem that prevents the bike starting. I'm thinking about buying one and wondering if you solved your problem in the long run? regards From Australia
