Brent Mason's solo, holy crap. Give me a couple of minutes while I pick my jaw up off the floor. And he's still playing that same trusty telecaster. Very cool.
Thank you Andy Wood guitarist. It took me too long to finally listen to this, but my God it is fantastic. Mark O' Conner is incredible, not to mention EVERY body else, too.
You are looking and listening at the best everyone of them, I love to turn around at Paul Franklin place again. What can you say about Marco O’Connor? He’s from another planet.
Amazing as usual - this is Mark O'Connor and he will be in HISTORY books - he has now composed a ton on songs. Look on his site - he has played CLASSICAL just as well as this fiddle background, jazz - all of it - he is the only violinist/fiddler I have every studied who can do it all. Check out his MIDNIGHT ON THE WATER that sounds like the classical artist, Pagannini. He has written symphonies now, a fiddle method like Suzuki, and plays all over New York in between being an amazing composer
Jimmy Willis I have the tab for that guitar solo but I would have to put my life on hold for the next few months and find a good slow down program to learn it. lol
You were doing just fine until you proclaimed Brad Paisley as 2nd best ... not even close my friend. Haven't you ever heard of Vince Gill, Albert Lee, Brian Sutton, Kenny Vaughan, Rick Wright (deceased), Red Volkaert and maybe 100 others ahead of Paisley? You need to get out more box3.
Because it's a competition ;) Everyone you listed is a great player, of course, & so is Brad...but hey, we're out to make music, not win medals in the Finger Olympics.
THAT'S CRAZY. I've known Mark was the best for a very long time, but now I'm thinking he's gone BEYOND best into CRAZY GIFTED. Thanks Mark for the many wonderful years of quality sound.
I remember watching every week... super players all! But I seem to remember Harry Stinson on drums a lot and Glen Worf being the main bassman, maybe Roy Huskey Jr. sometimes too? Anyway, I wish we had a show like this today.
Who mixed this thing? Piano rhythm constantly in your face, Paul's steel ride not in the mix(put a mic on his amp!), bass is non existing. Some of the greatest players in the universe. A Classic for all musicians! You guys set the bar really high!

These young guys just might have a future in music....
Maybe my favorite Mark O'Connor tune ever. What a band!
Isn't that young Brent Mason on guitar? Awesome.
Yep...and young Paul Franklin on PSG
Brent Mason is a hell of a guitarrist.
Don’t forget, Mark won the masters fiddle champion when he was only 13 years old.
Thank you Andy Wood guitarist. It took me too long to finally listen to this, but my God it is fantastic. Mark O' Conner is incredible, not to mention EVERY body else, too.
I would have liked to hear them do an up-tempo tune.........
Paul Friggin' Franklin baby!!!! What a world- class player!

My buddy Paul Franklin is tearing it up on pedal steel guitar. Great job my friend
You have cool friends
How could anybody give this a thumbs down? If you did you don't know the the first thing about. Playing an instrument... These cats are tearing it up.
This is the country equivalent of a crazy jazz jam.
O'Connor is totally off the charts. Absolutely the best fiddler I have ever heard. Can you imagine him playing with Django Rheinhardt?
I'm torn between burning my fiddles and guitars or just practicing 45 hours a day!
I mean, if you're practicing this stuff...you'll likely end up doing both simultaneously ^_^

Whoa! Barn burner!! Amazing!
I remember watching this broadcast..blew me away, and the one with Albert Lee
Best ever. Loved them 1st time I saw them. Big fan of MRk ever since.
Brent Mason is just sick on that guitar. Best Nashville lead guitar picker that is and ever was. Followed by Brad Paisley.
+guibox3 Brent's hero was Jerry Reed. That's why he is such a monster guitar player.
Jimmy Willis

I put Johnny Hiland at #2 for chicken pickin
YEAH!!!!! One of the most fun progressive bluegrass tunes from New Nashville Cats. Definitely the A-team here, Mark!

Amazing talent!
Dear Lord, that was verrryy smokin'!
Keep episodes coming whoever you. Thanks. H.Brian O’Neill, creator/exec. producer, American Music Shop on TNN.
This is a wind up for budding musicians amazing...
Yeah .
These guys RIP...!
Wow!
A First for me.... I just applauded my computer!! Just off to practice now.!
13 thumbs down? Why? This is incredible!
Probably more interested in style rather than musicianship. Rockers? Hip-hoppers?
Jeez, Brent had a Floyd Rose installed on his famous ash-grey Tele! How sick is that?)))
i find myself kind of singing along to this, humming to the tune
catchy ;~)

SUPER !!!
This is incredible...!
This was on t.v.? I wanna go back...lol
Fantastik!!!
I'm not a fan of the genre, but DAMN!! Those boys have skills!
It's like mold. It will grow on you.
I bet the drummer needs oxygen when this is over. Everybody else gets a break now and then, but the drummer has to keep getting it.
Billy,, I had to work up my endurance to pull this off, Best. Paul Leim
@@leimstick are you actually Paul leim?
wOW!.
If this song comes on while driving you are legally obligated to drive 30 over the limit
These guys don't suck...
@qbeam No its not reversed its to give the appearance of being inside a "music shop" its imitating a store front from the inside.
...that poor poor drummer... God help him. i think my arms would have fallin' off.
Lettering on the backdrop is backwards. But do you think Mark's playing left handed? "I have to do this left handed. Otherwise, too easy!"
It's supposed to look like a storefront. You are inside the "American Music Shop" and the lettering in the windows faces the "street"
Mark you really should get a cleaned up version and release it
Guthrie Govan on the tambourine. He was in disguise to study these awesome musicians.
It's a shame Paul Franklin is so low in the mix - his solo here is unbelievable
I heard this same video and Paul’s Steel was perfect but I agree it’s not in this video
Agreed. It almost sounded like his amp was in another room or something...
Well looks like I'm never picking up the violin.
ペダルスティール、バケモンじゃんか ω
@qbeam Play it backwards and you get a demonic message?
I surrender...
Desser rose
Dat was fast....
This song should be a little more up-tempo....it kind-of drags(hahahahaha) Geez Louise!!!! Paul Franklin!!!! Brent Mason!!!!!
The video is reversed.
