This one should work well for that. Nope it doesn't push on the joysticks the way the Tomtoc slim one does. This is thin enough it fits into my tomtoc sling I featured on my legion go review.
@@KeiRetroGaming one more question. got the og Skull and Co and it fits fine, just preorderd their grip case,(did not bother with the new slim because the og is fine) will it fit in the slip with the grip case on do you think? Did the og grip case fit in with the slim?
I discovered Skull & Co. when the switch launched because they had a dock alternative, the jumpgate. It was way cheaper and had more versatility. Since then I've bought a bunch of stuff from them from controller accessories, cases and Switch grips. When I was set on getting my ROG Ally, I ordered this grip and traveling case. I just got my ROG Ally and I'm looking forward to when this arrives.

This case presses the back buttons, even with a gripcase the back buttons are constantly pressed. If you don't mind about that then is ok for you. The quality and price of the case is good. But for me this is a really bad design decision form Skull & Co. They should have made the grooves wider to prevent back buttons being pressed against the case.
I'm still thinking Asus will eventually launch a black model, but I guess only time will tell. The bundle is definitely the way to go. I paid more buying them individually, plus the shipping charges on each.
It definitely shocked me with the quality as well! I certainly have no regrets about picking this one up. I'm glad I waited instead of buying on AliExpress. It almost feels like they just copied what Valve did for the deck case... Which isn't a bad thing since that case was so well made.
It fits with the official skull & co grip. I have a review on the grip coming out in the next two hours if you're interested in seeing how that fits in the case.

Got one for my oled steam deck, as it wouldn't fit the original carry case while using the skull & co grip case

I got the grip case. It's not a bad case, but it feels too bulky, and I personally prefer the feel of the base device rather than with the case

I won't have my Ally X till Thursday unfortunately. It should fit, but I can't double check it yet.

There's definitely not enough room for the charger in the case; it's too slim. The charger doesn't fit in the pouch either. I checked today for you.

Damn. Looks pretty good. Might pick up the bundle and maybe find a black skin wrap to go on the front of the ally with that grip case.

Love the feel of the steam deck case so that material seems good. The inside looks nice and soft too
