    This has to be the most detailed, yet simple to follow video instructions on how to properly upgrade and setup the ROG Ally. Thank you very much!

    I used a M.2 cloner, so the upgrade was seamless, no loss, no need for cloud recovery and no external keyboard required.

    If I don’t have a keyboard would I still be able to use cloud recovery?

      It should... But I haven't tested it without a keyboard so I'm not sure the on-screen display would work. Worth trying anyways, especially if it's on a new drive.

    So I just did this but I keep thinking in my head don't the m2 need a heat sync like what keeps the m2 cool inside the ally?

    • @KeiRetroGaming
      @KeiRetroGaming  ปีที่แล้ว

      The majority of M2 drives require significant heat to throttle, I haven't encountered any thermal issues with mine since the upgrade.

      Happy to help. What did you upgrade to?

    Just upgraded to 2tb.
    If I plug back in my old SSD, will it boot up normally like when it was last used?

      Yep. It's great way to keep a backup of your first setup if you don't need the original m2 for anything else.
