    Some important notes! First of all, congratulation to the Apex Calendar giveaway winner: Björn Bornholdt
    ! Please email info@apex-nuerburg.com to claim it!
    Next, for people who look at the numbers only, this shows that a remap is essential to unlock the exhaust benefits/potential.
    As demonstrated by Thilo who is running 4xx HP on his Cupra with a Milltek Exhaust: th-cam.com/video/miHNpTb3utM/w-d-xo.html
    And something that we will do in the future, although not 4xx hp :)

      Great video as always and thanks for doing the dyno run before and after! I think you would have got away easily within your own rules to just have the rear silencer and the resonator or middle muffler / silencer as you call it without the additional 3rd box. That's made it even quiter than it was stock and negated the extra size larger you went due to 3 restrictions... it sounded better stock sorry to say.

    Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but you should disable the sound generator (sound aktor) to hear the real engine sound without artificial sounds :)

    Am I the only one who doesn't like the artificial pops and bangs? I recently watched a video from Throttle House comparing the new RS5 to the old one with the NA V8 and that sounded so much nicer. Not just because of the engine arrangement, but it was clean, just the revs going up and down.

    • @SH7SH7SH7

    Well I guess you guys have a deal with milltek and I'm not complaining about the video but I hope we can all agree that this mod doesn't give you the most bang for the buck. Getting a legal 200cpi catted downpipe will reduce backpressure drastically and also give you a better sound experience. Your comment about the loss of baxkpressure leading to less power also only applies to n/a engines since the turbo gives you enough backpressure. But the tips sure look a lot nicer and 90% of customers probably will consider that car to be better than a cupra with a stock exhaust just by the looks of it.

    Is there a video upcoming about rims & tires?
    Original, due to the big Brembo brakes, the cupra is running on 19“ wheels. But your cupra & I think Thilos cupra are running on 18“ whells, i guess🤷🏼‍♂️
    Can you compare the size and give some information about advantage & disadvantage of driving 18“ wheels?

    any relaability mods ? not sure about this engine but the 2015 S3/golf R and up had some bad timing problems because the tensionner was plastic and with heat cycling it becomes brittle and shatters causing a catastrohpic engine failure even on stock cars, there are some replacement parts made from billet aluminium to prevent the problem

  • @josefinkjellsson7051
    @josefinkjellsson7051 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Less hp..weird, I got more on mine. But my dyno guy also calculates hp after an average of 5-7 pulls, not from one..who pulls once IRL..? after 5-7 pulls the heat becomes a definitive factor and the OEM loose big hp after each pull since the turbo get so hot because of the restrictions in OEM exhaust. It gets hot with the milltek too but not even close to the OEM loss in numbers..
    Nice vid Misha..hope you guys will enjoy the drone sound in the car at 130kmh😂😂😉

  • @Alchemist37
    @Alchemist37 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Often when we fit aftermarket parts to vehicles like Exhausts & or intake mods you actually see a slight reduction in power because the operating conditions of the motor move to a different area in the ECU maps and retards the timing...
    yes remaps are essential when putting bolt ons on your engine

    That wooshing sound from the new exhaust, sounds quite restrictive. Seems a backwards step to go larger pipe, more mufflers, be quieter (due to more restrictive mufflers), likely heavier? and if anything, lose power. Would be interesting to see a comparison of it tuned with the factory exhaust, vs tuned with the new exhaust.
