Very good performance. Philip Glass is ONE OF THE GREATEST COMPOSER IN HISTORY OF MUSIC. Apex of His Music - partita for Violin solo, 9,11,12 Symphony's.
Such a wonderful performance. I've been listening to my Kronos Quartet recording of this music for decades now and this was as good if not better. Thank you for sharing.
Hi there, I have found your channel and will check all your performances and everything You put here. Good opportunity to get more familiar with classical music. Anyway, this made me interested.
Wonderfully played with a zesty original take on tempi and dynamics. While this isn't my favorite of the quartets, it's certainly an unusual one in Glass' output.
Les quatuors de Philip Glass sont pour moi des chefs d’œuvre immortels. Notamment les 2 et 5. Les Études aussi. Philip Glass est le plus grand compositeur de notre temps.
@@eduardovazquezortiz9040 It looks like an accident on the part of the copyist or the composer: in the fourth bar of Rehearsal no. 8, the violins double the alto line (and the cello line, an octave higher). Perhaps this has been corrected in later editions or it doesn't appear in the parts? There's an analogous line for cello in the fifth bar of rehearsal no. 9 which indicates that the the violins should have 1/16-rests in place of the Gb's.
My favourite performance of this piece. Very raw. Very real. Thanks for uploading.
such a wonderful compliment… thank you.
I love this piece. It is quite peculiar among Glass' works. Very elegant, with rich harmonies and very interesting phrasing.
Very good performance.

Easily the finest single thing that Glass ever came up with, and an exquisite performance.
The opening piece to Kronos Quartet performs Philip Glass (1995). I LOVE that album. Good to see the youngin's carrying the torch. Sounds Amazing!

Please! I have a question! Violins have lower G flat in the fifht movement.... is it scordattura?
Hi Eduardo! No, there’s no use of scordatura in this piece:)
@@sara_kalinowska I suppose it must be a typo then. Unless i'm missing something. Thanks!
