This whole yearly release thing definitely makes timing of teasers/announcements interesting considering how much more often product is released with other games. Hopefully the game being as good as it is does help carry it through these down times.
I’m just glad my local play group in Tulsa is growing.

No news is good news. The problem is that everyone has a Tik Tok mentality and need information every second. The community needs to do their own thing to promote the game.

I think the community has done a great deal to promote the game. SorceryCon, Courtesan Cup, March of Mortals, Seige at the Core, Ascanrask, numerous LGS events, and a host of TH-cam content creators have pushed Sorcery continuously. It’s time for EC to look at all of this hard work and step up their marketing game, providing regular information covering a host of topics. I don’t think asking for a weekly content post should be too much at this point.

I quite enjoy the downtime. I still do weekly drafts. Brew a constructed deck if the mood strikes me! Other than that, I have been enjoying other hobbies.
If I wanted to be constantly engaged, I would have picked another TCG 😅

It’s summer holidays here in NZ, the whole country shuts down for about 3 weeks and most people take annual leave at this time.

"Man it's so great that this TCG isn't going to over do the number of sets! We get time to explore the cardpool and not be constantly in spoiler season like MTG!"
15 days after the end of year hour long retrospective which included a spoiler for the next set and hyping it up:
"Wow they aren't talking to us! Where are the teasers and spoilers?? Why aren't they hyping us up for anything?? What could possibly be happening?"
What is radio silence? Do they need to comment on how many boxes are sitting on TCGPlayer at any given time? Maybe the issue with box movement is that tcgplayer has beta at $200 a box when the msrp is $150? Maybe it's the speculators trying to make money on the fact that covenant ran out of product that are causing the slowing? If I could grab a beta box at $150 I would!

As a creator, TH-cam is like a baby bird, always screaming with its mouth agape, demanding content.

I would like some news on when the Arthurian Legends dust rewards are going to be in the store. I bought a bunch of boxes and sitting on dust is no fun. I need me that foil Druid!

A number of Sorcery issues I've noticed.
    1. Communication (as Lord of Itza has mentioned - a majority of us feel this way)
    2. The box opening experience in Alpha/Beta felt WAY better than AL. AL basically made getting a Unique feel like nothing with all those "baby" Uniques.
    3. Overprinting - Why the hell is beta getting reprinted? yeah yeah ...for more players blah blah. It's not like Beta is WAY off from MSRP. A massive supply of AL is on the market and especially in distro. This is why AL prices are literally flatlined.
    4. 1 set a year - I think we're at the point we can move on to AT LEAST 2 sets a year in 2025 or maybe max it out at 3 sets in time. I love Sorcery, but after 4-6 months I'm ready for something new.
    5. Marketing - The only ads I've seen was from TCGplayer. Are there other places that I may be missing?

A community that needs constant growing and hyping is not something Erik originally envisged for SCR - it was always meant to be a high end product for well-off monacle wearing art enthusiasts. The vision changed just before Beta release when all the concerns about being a competetive product started to be raised.
And I’ll say it, because no one else will…the Dragonlord art is off…its not great. Hopefully the card mechanics are worth it for the players

Seems an absolute no brainier to print more precon decks. It’s like a taster to get people into the game, while not affecting people that are into the game as an investment. But why has it taken them so long to make such a simple decision?

There's no good excuse. Heck, they should print off cycle starters. Something between releases.

I’m tired of hearing about magic and Pokémon. I pray they come to the realization that they need more than 1 set a year. I was definitely one of the ones that was tired of magic pumping something out every month. Sorcery was great. I could get it and not have to worry about it for awhile. But a one year wait I now feel is just way to long to retain my interest. It would be sweet if we were getting the spoilers for a sorcery release that was coming 6 months after Arthurians release. It was definitely an interesting experiment and I got some cool cards.

1 set a year is not great, 1 250 card set for the year is frustrating, especially for growth. Launch events and new product at a LGS get old players hyped and new players interested and willing to try a game out. This is the case for every single TCG! Different products also appeal to different kinds of people, which also helps in creating broad appeal. All we get is sending more beta to stores.... ok we'll see how many people show up for that. You need old players and new players showing up to sustain any events. The pool of people that will drive X distance for a beta draft, especially old players, who've drafted beta a hundred times, isn't great (at least around me). But they would show up for a new product.

Games Workshop was horrible for years, once the company became engaged, their sells went way up. Take a lesson from them, be a part of the game, not just making and selling it. Imo

They really needed some sort or social media schedule to keep Sorcery in the spotlight. Games, card analysis, deck breakdowns, ext. They need to be making content for the game to keep it in the public eye and increase interest. Obviously they were never going to be able to compete with MTG or other games when it comes to spoilers or other content, but they hardly do anything. How Sorcery is now it's so easy to just think that it doesn't exist.
