    Ich schaue ihnen schon länger beim fliegen zu und es macht immer Freude zu sehen, wie sie immer bessere loops und invert fliegen. Das ist wirklich beeindruckend. Danke für den content und weiter viel spass beim fliegen 😊

      @tomkoller749 Vielen herzlichen Dank! Solche Worte ermutigen sehr und tun gut! Im Moment treiniere ich Rollen und halbe Rollen von inverted zurueck zu uptight. Mein naechstes Ziel sind halbe Rollen zu inverted und dann halbe Rollen zuruck zu upright. Ganz ehrlich haben mich akrobatik Flugzeuge dazu inspiriert. Am Simulator klappt es toll. Aber auf dem Feld, mit meist reichlich Wind aus allen moeglich Richtungen zittern dann doch die Knie! Aber irgendwann klapps bestimmt! Sehr herzliche Gruesse aus Polen zurueck in die Schweiz und viele tolle Fluege!

    I personally own both at one point in time or another, and I would like to add that the one piece tail case makes quite the difference in terms of assembly and thus tail handling, as you won't have to mess with two separate cf plates for alignments to avoid clamping friction on the tail shaft, which to me, makes quite the difference in tail holding performance. Along with all the small improvements made on the m4 max, it's probably a better bet if you have to get just one bird.
    but, considering the eventual release of the tri blade head, there is also a strong case for buying an m4 down the line

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @glenncain Very good point with the one piece tail case! It really makes the tail assembly much easier. And when I took it out of the carton I was amazed how beautiful it is machined! I was thinking if I would buy a tail case just to put it in my glass-showcase. I watched it several times before I built the heli and it's almost a shame that the most beautiful part is hidden in the Tailboom. And I agree: If I would have to decide for just one heli it would be the M4 Max! But I am happy that this is just speculation and I have both!! Best greetings and happy flights!!

    Nice comparison. I found if you give the m4 max some high headspeed around 3000 it's still very punchy. Flight times are terrible that way and I enjoy the lower headspeed more. But it's fun for a change

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @RubenRC94 Wow 3000 RPM on the Max... woops, I cant even imagine how punchy this machine would be!! I am definitely more the low RPM guy, even with my small M2 Evos I am flying low RPM because I love the "relaxed" motor sound. And most important: I love smooth big air flying and really do not need a lot of punch for this! I wish you that you find more time for flying again and that your family is fine!! All the best and thanks for watching and your comment!

      @@RCCopterLove thanks!
      Next 3 weeks I will be off from work and the weather is going to be great. So probably lots of flying. I love the low rpm on the m4 max. My lowest is around 1750rpm that's 300 rpm lower than my raw 580 and it still flies amazing. Usually I fly the max around 2300 rpm nice and quiet but still has punch and with my 2400mah packs I get around 8 to 8.5 minutes of flight time.
      The m2 I like to send with a higer headspeed. But I fly that one like I stole it to practice new things because it's so crash resistant.

      @@RubenRC94 Great news, Ruben! So I cross my fingers that you have fantastic weather in the next three weeks and that you can fly as much as possible!! Yes, the M4 Max is unbelievable with low RPM. I never experienced an unxpected high loss of RPM, although my collective pitch management is far away from being good. This machine gives me tons of trust and confidence! I just love to fly it!!

    Thank you very much for the comparison. I will probably go in the same progression as you did. First I have my M1 & M2, then probably the M4. Later, time permitting, I might add the M4 max. If you do get the M7, we will be looking forward to your videos on that as well!

      @t.s.thomas Thank you very much for your kind words! Your idea for the progression is the best! The M4 is a bit less intimidating and a great model for the first bigger heli. I am happy that I went this route. Regarding the M7: It's really s bit too big for me, also for practical reasons: Transport, Batteries and I would need a much bigger field than my new and already much better and bigger field. I hope that OMPHOBBY will bring out something inbetween the M4 Max and the M7. This would be at once my next heli! Best greetings and happy flights!!

    I'm consider taking the step from M2 to M4. I've practiced a lot, but I want the one that's easiest to fly. I'll never be fantastic at 3D flying, but I want to have fun with flying. I get the impression that the Max is more stable, which appeals to me as a beginner. At the same time, it has an excess of power that I won't need, at least not for a very long time. So, which one is best for beginners (i.e., experience with M2)? Price is also important.

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @karsteinlerang2660 Hi! In your case I would definitely recommend you the M4. It is cheaper when you buy it and repairs/parts are cheaper. Take offs and landings in wind are a bit easier, because the width of the skids is identical with them of the M4 Max but the rotor disc is smaller because of the shorter main blades. The heli stands a bit more stable. I went this way, first M4 and then M4 Max and for me it was the best way! All the best and happy flying!

    Thank you Mathias, for this nice comparison. Like me, you fly in a somewhat windy environment. Question: How is the behavior in windy conditions, what differences are there between the M4 and the M4 Max?
    By the way: I've now replaced my Vifly buzzer with a Matek buzzer, which I can now switch on and off with the transmitter, so it only beeps when it's supposed to.
    Sunny greetings from Switzerland

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @jupi-aladin Thank you and I am glad you like this video! Your question is not easy to answer: In flight on very windy days I like the M4 Max more, because it feels more stable in the air. BUT: before we can fly we have to take off and after flying we have to land again. And for me take offs and landings in gusty winds are easier with the M4. The width of the skids, the height and the center of gravity are identical on both helis but the M4 Max rotordisc is noticable bigger and the wind has more surface to in the worst case pick the heli up on one side. Thats why on such very windy days I take both helis to the field and fly the M4 Max first. My concentration and reaction works better in the first couple of flights. As soon I loose a bit the "sharpness" I switch to the M4. Take offs and landings in crosswinds are really easier (for me) with it. Thanks for the tipp with the Matek Buzzer. Will it work with Radiomaster / Edge TX radios? Greetings back from PL to CH!! Matthias

      @@RCCopterLove Thank you for your response.
      I use the Matek-Buzzer on a Radiomaster ER4 Receiver (with ELRS-Protocol) and have a TX16S MarkII as Transmitter, of course with EdgeTx. So yes, it works very well with Radiomaster / Edge TX Radios.

    After 7 minutes on the M4 max, what would be the approximate voltage that you indicate on your Li-Po cells. 3.5v perhaps?

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @t.s.thomas02 Thank you for your good question! I have my timer set on 7:30 minutes and directly after landing I have still 3,8 Volt per cell in my 2200 mAh SLS Lipos!! So about 30 %. This with my Idle up 2 throttlecurve in Radiomaster / Edge TX of Plus 19. (50% throttle curve in Spektrum and other systems is 0 in Edge TX / Radiomaster. Plus 50 would be 100 % throttle in Spektrum) I am a bit too stupid to count how much my plus 19 would be in Spektrum. But with my M4 Max headspeed in the video I have much more "juce" left in my Lipo than you expected! I hope this helps you! If you know a formula to count Spektrum Throttle curves (0 to 100 %) VS Edge TX (-50 at 0 Spektrum throttle, 0 at 50 % Spektrum throttle and +50 at 100 Spektrum throttle) please let me know. I was and will be always a catrastrophe at mathematics!! 😀

    • @RubenRC94
      @RubenRC94 20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@RCCopterLovehi Matthias just to chime in. Isn't the edge tx throttle curve - 100 to +100 like the ethos one (I really tought it was) - 100 being 0% in spektrum 0 being 50% and +100 being 100% in spektrum.
      If that is the case the formula is as follows
      S=Spektrum curve value R=Radiomaster curve value.
      S x 2 -100= R so for instance 50%x2=100 -100= 0 that's your value on the radiomaster curve.
      The other way around it is
      R +100 /2 =S
      So +40(radiomaster value)+100=140/2=70% on spectrum. In this case you need to be mindful of where in the curve the radiomaster value is. +40 as in this example will give you 70%.
      -40 would give you 30%.

    Hallo Matthias,
    Vielen Dank für dieses interessante Video ;)
    Ich bin den M4 nicht geflogen, sondern nur meinen M4 Max.
    Mir persönlich gefällt es besser, wenn man nicht so viel RPM am Rotorkopf hat.
    Ich muss aber sagen, dass mit 2000 rpm mir der m4Max sehr gut gefällt.
    Was für mich ein großer Punkt war bei der Kaufentscheidung des M4 Max war 1. die Ersatzteilverfügbarkeit und 2. die Preise für die Ersatzteile.
    Wenn man sich die Preise ansieht, die SAB verlangt erkennt man schnell, wieviel günstiger OMPHobby ist.
    Das haben die auf jeden fall gut hinbekommen.
    Lass es dir gut gehen - Bis zum nächsten Video ;)

      @FPVJoschi Hallo Joschi! Vielen Dank fuer deinen Kommentar! Es freut mich, dass du mein Video interessant findest! Du hast dich sehr gut fuer den M4 Max entschieden. Ich liebe auch niedrige RPM. Fuer mich war der M4 das erste Kit in meinem Leben (als er herausgekommen ist!), da ich vorher nur Ready to Bind helis wie den M2 und den M1 fertig aus der Foambox geflogen bin! Das war eine riesige Herausforderung fuer mich, weil ich als vermutlich einziger Heli Freak auf der Welt das Zusammenbasteln nicht besonders mag. Mir fehlen die Nerven dazu. Ich baue Helis nur, weil ich weiss, dass ich sie spaeter fliegen kann. Das Fliegen liebe ich und es ist meine riesige Leidenschaft. Das Bauen und basteln an Helis... ehem. Ganz ehrlich mache ich es nur, weil ich es muss. Und ich lerne viel dabei, ganz klar. Aber moegen... da wuerde ich luegen!! Mit den Ersatzteilpreisen hast du Recht! Da ist OMPHOBBY ungeschlagen. Ich crashe zwar so gut wie nie. Aber wenn, dann richtig!! :D Beste Gruess und tolle Fluege!!
