    Hello, I have a very particular question for you😅, since you always bring videos related to the work of sound via software, do you have any practical advice to obtain an improved sound in earphones (with active ANC) for long study sessions? (modifying the sound) That is, implemented to maintain concentration, to avoid distractions, and to deliver the right frequencies / wavelengths to the brain for beneficial purposes. I think this may have practical feedback to what you usually do, that is, there is something you can do to (lightly) touch the music and perform better in the studio. I know scientifically there is something (like beneficial frequencies and more). Certainly, like yours, an advanced knowledge of sound, mixing, changing musical parameters etc may suggest doing something. Comq congratulations for the contents you bring.

    Hey Sweetwater! I think you guys flashed an image of a FET 47 (solid state Condenser) when you were going over some of the famous Tube Mics, instead of the normal U47 (the tube version. Taller than FET) I hope someone fixes that.

    hi, great video! I have one questions: How often do you have to replace the tube inside the mic?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, thanks for your interest! That’s an excellent question, and it really depends on a number of factors - including the specific mic and tube(s), how often you’re using the microphone, and how well the microphone is cared for. Under ideal conditions with normal use, tubes can last 5 years or more. You’ll know if the tube needs to be replaced because the microphone won’t sound right - it could produce extra noise, or even a distorted sound. Feel free to contact me directly with further questions, and thanks again!

    I was wondering about the power or voltage needed to run the vacuum tube - normally it’s ~400 V.
    I only wonder about Neumann U47 and U67 mics (over $10,000 each here in Australia which is worth more than my entire home studio (and I have 4 mics))

    Letting the tube warm up for 30 minutes or longer. Is this also true for a tube compressor such as the CL1B?
    Thank you

      Hey, Lain. Yes, that is great standard practice when running any kind of tube gear! The same applies for that compressor that would for a mic, or a guitar amp.
      I hope that helps!
