I need to test this again, but I believe the mechanic with her special input is that if you complete the circle input successfully, she'll sit on her case and fire it forward, whereas if you "flub" it, she'll fall over (cuz you messed up!) and fire the shot into the air. I play on controller and this I believe is what I've found. So I think if you're using WASD inputs, on your special you'd need to only hit E, then W right after (maybe have to hit A as well otherwise it might just interpret as a forward movement) if you want to do the arcing shot. Edit: I just tested it on my phone, and the difference between the shot where she sits on the case vs. when she falls off is whether or not you let go of the attack button when she begins sitting on the case. So do either the held attack or the special, do the circular motion, you'll see that she begins to sit down, and if you let go of the attack/special attack button before she completes, she will fall off the case and the vertical shot will fire.
I tested this a bit, and there doesn't seem to be a difference in outcome between her falling down or her sitting on her suitcase. In both instances, the vertical shot comes out. In both instances, she is locked into the animation for a while - but you can dodge cancel it. If she sits on her suitcase, she's freed from the animation quicker. But in either case I think you'll want to dodge cancel it. What was the more important take away for me was realizing that her starting to sit down is the visual queue for the earliest you can let go of basic or special attack and get the vertical shot successfully.
Recommenting here because I posted this reply from the wrong account before, but if you hold the special input to completion (sitting on the briefcase) then it should fire the shot forward, not up. This matters because the vertical shot is fired where the enemy was, so if they're charging at you, it can miss. I think it mainly just has the advantage of coming out super fast (not sure if it does as much damage as a charged shot, though). The shot fired from sitting on the briefcase fires forward until it hits an enemy, just like a normal charged shot.
I'm still running the base f2p team of Anby, Bilie and Nicole. If you could make a short vid on how to properly fight with this team it would be great :D great contnt, looking for more!
So for the hidden input (controller) You can do it after she turns around. There are also different animations depending on how long you hold it for both the ex and normal attacks
Been waiting for this since your Anby video, and did not disappoint when you helped me see where my Nicole was lacking and where I can make simple changes to really make the difference! I'd like to see Soldier 11 next when that's my only S rank so my dps along with Anby and Nicole, but hoping to pull Nekomata when she seems to be the best for the Anby/Nicole setup before Zhu Yuan is released.
*FOR NICOLES HIDDEN MOVES* Tested this to get consistent results (PC) **NEITHER ARE EXCLUSIVE TO HER HEAVY OR SKILL/THEY CAN BE DONE WITH BOTH** ~To get her to sit on her suitcase~ Hold LMB and press WASD right before Nicole does her basic heavy attack while still holding LMB (WASD Too early and she will do her basic heavy. Too late and she will have already started the basic heavy animation) ~To get her to fall off the suitcase [Volley Shot]~ Same as the first hidden move, but you must let go of LMB before Nicole completes her sitting animation TIPS & INFO (please read :] ) - These moves consume energy and will not proc if there isn't a sufficient amount available/if EX Special Attack isn't ready - These moves are only tied to her heavy attack, so there are no pre-reqs, meaning they can be done before, mid, or at the end of a combo and even after a directional dash attack. All that matters is that you hold LMB and WASD before she does her basic heavy -Like stated above, these can be done with both her skill and heavy attack. They will produce the same results. HOWEVER, using her E/EX Special Attack obviously skips right to her heavy attack animation so you can proc her hidden move quicker. That also means you'll have to be quick to get that WASD input in. - If you need help with the timing, think of her basic heavy attack as one animation and her regular attacks as another animation. You'll typically be holding LMB before the regular attack animations ends, but right when it does and is transitioning into the heavy attack animation is when you want to WASD -Her volley shot is thankfully just a faulted version of the first hidden move. All that matters is that you execute the move like normal and let go of LMB before she starts the attack AKA before she finishes her sitting animation. -Mobile and Controller users, I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you :( when to execute the inputs and the mechanics should line up of course, but I'm not sure if you guys need to do a full 360 or just a counter-clockwise 12 to 3 rotation. Comments confirming the specifics would be appreciated :) ( @EODGamerZZZ i hope you can pin this
There's one kind of way to make it a little easier for keyboard mouse users, which is to alt bind the E skill to another key which is easier to access, like a mouse button
I might be talking out my ass, but rotating her movement clockwise or counter should work for performing the unique EX special, if one is easier for you by all means do it that way. Controller players also have it extra easy here, as doing a 360 is a simple rotation of the stick. The real reason to do it is because if you charge the EX Special with a 360 she sits down on the suitcase and it's incredibly hot.
Actually, if you let go as soon as you input the animation and switch characters you get 100% uptime on the shred for the swapped in character since she’ll delay the shot a bit till her animation is done
Slice of time is insane honestly. I think its like the A rank bis wengine for Rina bc of the pen ratio stat, but Nicole benefits from it a lot too. After unlocking it her rotation become much more fluid. Her ex special skill is available every rotation now and the ultimate is up a lot more than before. And my characters are still really trash built. so it will only get better
wait, what kind of substats is she looking for, because for the main stats, i atleast know to go for eth bonus, anomaly proficiency, anomaly mastery, energy regen, then possibly crit and atk%. how about her substats?
Do you think it's worth it to swap to Nicole and charge her EX skill when it's ready? Especially on single target, it's hard for me to judge whether it's a DPS increase or if you'd be better off just staying in on your stunner and getting an extra combo off.
where is that area where you can train with maximum energy, the free training in the VR device doesn't look like that and only spawns small enemies that attack you
Can someone help me figure something out with my Nicole. I have a W-Engine battery installed but for some reason the game will not allow me to turn the power button on. All of my other characters have their W-Engines turned “on” but Nicole’s will not turn on and I do not know why!
So what you're referring to only works for the W-Engines that are specifically designed for that character, and only applies a cosmetic difference in combat (I think to some attacks). Demara Battery Mark II is actually Anby's W-Engine, not Nicole's, which is why you can't turn it on. Nicole's W-Engine is called The Vault.

Nicole is highly underrated. She's so strong..! Gonna aim for her C6 in the next banner

You can get a mouse that has button on the side and keybind it to "E" so you can WASD easily.
I hereby request guides for Anton, Rina and Koleda as they are my mains atm.
Thanks for all your work and effort. I appreciate it. ^_^
Very helpful and well said, thank you.
Yes...strait to business. I like you ;) Nicole with Anby and Zhu is fuckin fire rn.... thanks brotha!

Gonna put her in a team with Neko and Anby.
My 2nd team has S11, Ben and Piper
Edit: she’s also c4 so I feel like I should start building her, aha
Will u make a zhu yuan guide as it gets closer to her release or a few days after?
Great video!
which w-engine is better for nicole weeping cradle or the vault?
Ayyyy yooo great video!!!
Hell yeah brother. MECHANICS
Excellent video!
I cant seem to make nicole c6 crit bonus appear on the stats screen in VR for Zhu, dunno if im doing it wrong or it just simply doesnt appear
I had no idea her ex procced the def shred as well
wait, what kind of substats is she looking for, because for the main stats, i atleast know to go for eth bonus, anomaly proficiency, anomaly mastery, energy regen, then possibly crit and atk%. how about her substats?
Can you do one for Billy? I kind of enjoy just playing the Hares as a cohesive unit.
They have a great synergy
Wow pandora mechanic from dmc4
what is the recommended stats for nicole to reach?
Do you think it's worth it to swap to Nicole and charge her EX skill when it's ready? Especially on single target, it's hard for me to judge whether it's a DPS increase or if you'd be better off just staying in on your stunner and getting an extra combo off.
He doesn't talk about the BP W Engine 😭😭😭
i want nekomata personnally
I've rebound right-click to skill since dodging on right-click has never made sense to me
does the chain attack also proc def shred?
This is what I am wondering as well
I thought the video started in the middle cause bro was already narrating as soon as the video loaded
where is that area where you can train with maximum energy, the free training in the VR device doesn't look like that and only spawns small enemies that attack you
you can select the enemy and disable movement in free training

@@nivlet42 Oh, okay thank you I will look and see if I already have that one or go get it LOL 😆
Please do an Anton video, he has a lot of stuff that i need to understand better
How do you build Nicole as a main dps
You really cant. The characters have their roles for a reason, she’s a support and that’s what she will be doing
The rotating part for mobile I think is a bit tricky.
waiting on my anton guide 💀
Make one for s11
Lucy guide please
where's my koleda's guide 😭
Wait.. The Vault wasnt a f2p engine? I got lucky!
Pls make soukaku
please put time stamps next time
