Disclaimer: I just discovered the rumored controversy about Kaedim (which I didn’t know about before making this video) Some believe there are real people behind it and build the 3D models manually on demand (that sounds like a weird thing to do). But whether it’s AI or not AI, I’m not in the position to judge it. All I do is try it and show it to you; it’s your choice to use it or not.
I guess the next logical thing is whether it’s worth it or not. Seems to me it’s only a matter of time any way before AI creating 3D models is a thing, if it isn’t already. So, cost is the next step and will be the determining factor really. Kaedim is basically $20 per model so if the results is good maybe it doesn’t matter?
How many times will i have to tell you guys, DO NOT USE Kaedim, it's not an AI 3D Generator if it's was the case, they would not have to make you pay in order to use thier so called AI Generator DON'T USE IT, technology is still far away from a legible 3D Model Generator
This is actually not fully AI. 3D modelers are hired to design this within the timeframe. It's just called AI because people will believe in anything under that tag. In my personal opinion, this is a smart way to run a business. The only caveat is that the modelers need to work very fast, but I'm sure if enough experienced artists join this platform, it is possible, until an actual AI modeling program enters the market.
In general, this is not a particularly reasonable way of conducting business, since it misleads the customer into thinking that AI is being used, when in fact humans are also involved. In that case, a statement such as "Created with the help of AI and human assistance" is necessary
How do you know about that, who are the people working manually on these models? at 15$ per item with the subscription (and lower) I doubt they can find anyone working manually for that rate and also make profit as a service.
As many have said, this is NOT an AI tool, it is human made, I applied for a job there and all the requriments implies that you'll be modeling all day.
@The Padded Cell Everyone is hard wired now to see generate as AI based, this is not the only channel making this. They are taking advantage of people that don't know the correct definitions.
@The Padded Cell they don't need to claim directly when all their marketing is geared towards that, which causes channels like this to spread it is ai, this is not the first channel neither will be the last because of how misleading their whole page/system page looks. You can discuss as much as you want, the marketing by the company is misleading and unfair.
@@kendarr At their doc they state this: "Kaedim Documentation
Welcome to Kaedim’s documentation! 🎉 We are happy to have you on board.
At Kaedim, we have built Machine Learning algorithms that turn 2D art into 3D content." On the 'how it works' they state this:
"Currently, the process looks like this behind the scenes: An input image is submitted and passed through our AI algorithm for reconstruction. The output mesh passes from our Quality Control pipeline to make sure that flaws are eliminated. That process aims to eliminate most of the unwanted technical characteristics of the generated models (i.e. tris, n-gons). A Quality Control team member will check and improve the output where necessary for the 3D model to match our quality standards. Yes, our algorithm is not always perfect, and we want to ensure the output quality is always up to a high standard. It's not free because it's not actually AI generated. Kaedim outsources their work to uncredited and underpaid workers to churn out as many 3D models as they can within an hour's time. Incredibly shady business practices. 😕
@The Padded Cell Jesus why are you so mad just because that u have anger issues? ⛈⛈Ok fine $20 is not expensive $20 is not expensive you happy now? you should. Have a nice day :)
@@tpbanimations You might not realize this, but Kaedim is not using AI to generate 3D models from 2D images. They are most likely outsourcing the work to human workers overseas who are not credited or paid fairly for their labor. These workers have to produce a model based on the client's image within an hour, which is a very demanding and unrealistic expectation for any 3D artist. Even if we assume that the workers get all the $20 per render (which they don't), that's still a very low rate for such a complex and skilled task. The average hourly wage for a 3D artist in the US is $31.10, and that's for normal working conditions, not for rushing to meet impossible deadlines. All in all, considering what you're getting within an hour timeframe, it's pretty inexpensive, but dubiously ethical.

@@RpgBlasterRpg they are, its just very primitive
Any free trial..??
Hahaha he added a title -- IS IT REALLY AI because he realized this isnt an AI
subbed!!
what, that s not Ai? The ability to create a refined 3d model from 2d image just from ai would have been a great achievement in the world of gaming. But if you say there are modellers behind doing the job, then it still take a shitton of manual work for someone to create 3d model, it s not automated. And this achievement is still unreached
It's not AI, there's no algorithm explanation about this service, such as Shap-E.
Whats about REAL AI generators ?
Sensacional 🎉
This is the first I've ever personally heard of this, how does it fair against more complex things? Does it have to be isolated in the image with no background?
waaaaayyy too fn expensive and then they dont even offer a test version ... bad pricing plans.
Very cool
BASIC $400 a month !!! You crazy !!!!
Most funny thing thats it's not actually an ai
ive just realized PS doesnt support 3D now sad ...
Hey! just curious how you've created your character in the first place?
I used Midjourney and cut out the background
@@MinhPhamDesign cool! haha, that's straight where I went too! Awesome stuff by the way!!
bruh even NVIDIA AI is struggling to create 3D models, you say this app does it??? lol..its a scam, just some bunch of guys at the other side making these quickly for you
@The Padded Cell pretty much unusable what I got!
I can't wait till A.I can really do this! I can model these but I would rather A.I fart it out in 5 seconds.
(Yes, I know kaedim3d use humans) I'm just speaking about the future!
i could have made that in gravity sketch in 5 minutes. nice video though
Do you give your social network ID?
Did you say $20 for 1 credit 😮
Where is araina
thanks for share
Problem loading page
Its very funny ))) Im totally sure its not AI or something, Its just a bunch of people somewhere in Mumbai working for a 20$ for 3D model. Not a bad freelance I told you. ))))
Why this website charges 6$ for a basic trial and 30$ for a premium Trial lol. Trial has a new meaning for these companies these days.
Kaedim is not AI, workers make the models
This is don't free ??
It's not free because it's not actually AI generated. Kaedim outsources their work to uncredited and underpaid workers to churn out as many 3D models as they can within an hour's time.
Incredibly shady business practices. 😕
Interesting
Belder is the best
A link in the description could be really useful
For the low lwo price of 15$ per credit and you need to spend 4 credits to get a 3d model worth using
I was going to comment, that this are probably made by real people, because it takes so long to "generate" then I read the comments, lol.
Ủa ông này người Việt Nam đúng không???
$20 per render per this toy is very expensive
@The Padded Cell uh no everything is expensive
@The Padded Cell Jesus why are you so mad just because that u have anger issues? ⛈⛈Ok fine $20 is not expensive $20 is not expensive you happy now? you should. Have a nice day :)
@@tpbanimations you must be a foreigner lol ain’t no way
@@GangMilk222 Bruh I'm a Africa American tf
I like the platform
An Indian 3D asset sweatshop more like it!
It just had to be too good to be true
They present it as AI so in case they give u trash in return, then they can just blame it on the AI
나이스 튜토리얼!!
1 hour? that sounds more like they had someone model it not AI at all.
fake when you try to go to the page .my google serch gets crazy .they need to close this page
Is there any free app that converts 2d into 3d models?
Co ask
the only thing here is monstermash and Point-E, and it's not good at all
anh nên có phụ đề tiếng việt nữa 😢😢
They are crazy. $20 for a credit? NO thank you
good but very expensive
