In this video we will be talking about prepping, reviewing and wrap up sessions, and how to make the most out of your study routine this year.
Note: I had a lot of problems with most of my filming equipment this week - my microphone stopped working as well as the dongle that connected my camera to my Mac, so I had a lot of trouble importing footage, so everything you're seeing here are older clips. I apologize for the decrease in quality but if everything goes well, next week my workflow will return to normal :)

*structure of an ideal study routine:*
1. prepping
- give key concepts + overall idea -> good for memorisation + reinforcement of ideas
- at least skim through main topics
; jot down questions you may have
- time: 10-15 minutes ; depending on difficulty + extensiveness
2. (regular) reviewing
- consolidate information
- frequency: 2~3 times per week
3. wrapping up
- tapping into info you earned almost 15 days ago
- relaxed version of cram sessions
- frequency: once every two weeks
- time: longer than reviewing sessions ; a morning/afternoon in the weekend
general tips:
- have a consistent, strong workflow
- strong study routine

PLAN A SCHEDULE OF BALANCED ACTIVITIES.
PLAN ENOUGH TIME FOR STUDYING EACH SUBJECT.
STUDY AT A SET TIME AND IN A CONSISTENT PLACE.
STUDY AS SOON AFTER YOUR CLASS AS POSSIBLE.
UTILIZE ODD HOURS DURING THE DAY FOR STUDYING.
As someone who's doing a master in classical archaeology, I had some problem paying attention to the tips and not just drooling over the books used ^^
I sooo need this right now. This year I really need to make studying more of a habit instead of trying to cram within the week before an exam... Really great practical stuff as usual!
Honestly,,, this was what I was looking for a long time.

Thank you for posting this process. I would add to this process that helped me a ton in college:
10 minutes on a topic and take a 7 minute break and go as long as you desire.
You will not burn out on the task or topic reviewing and you can go for hours and will recall your main material.
Do not take others notes at all. Use the feynman technique to make your own unique understanding of the process and details of the material. That way once you can relate the material to something that you are familiar with it will stick in your subconscious mind and you will recall on the go as required.
Extra note:
When reading your text book only read the first paragraph and last paragraph to get the meat of the book and make your notes.
Also the bold notes are always on the test.

Hey! I have a video idea for you 😊 lots of times I read a book that isn’t set by my school but is in the same field of study, and I want to make notes of the important parts so that I can review it later and get the broad topics covered without having to reread the whole book. However, I find a lot of note taking examples online go into more detail than I need (because they are revising for a test). I was just hoping you had a method that I could use for making a short summary of an entire textbook? It’s really overwhelming trying to do it myself, I end up writing too much down like I would if I were studying the textbook for class! Thank you!

Hi, do you recommend the ipad pro 11" or the 12" for students? Also, do you recommend the apple pencil 1st generation or the second generation? It would be amazing if you would answer me :)
I think the 11’ is much better for students because it’s lighter and you can really carry it everywhere. Also, iPad pencil 2nd generation all the way, the wireless charging is impeccable and game changing for an iPad user

To be honest I think you should also go for an 11” inch. And the 2nd generation apple pencil is just amazing. Take it from a 2018 6th gen iPad and 1st gen Apple Pencil user! 😅😕
