Mini project: Today take a photo of somewhere in your daily life and create a picture from that slice of your life. I could be a parking lot or a view out the window of rooftops and bricks but it is your slice of life. Think of what caught your eye and think of time of day when lights turn on or people become active. Have fun with it and don't stress.

My thought exactly! They look like they're somewhere in between gouache and watercolors and I kinda like it.
Maybe she's just using less water and more paint?

Really beautiful painting!! I love them :") the lace postcards are really unique too, i feel like they would be beautiful to be put on windows or electric candle so the lights would cast some intricate shadow on the walls and it looks like the watercolor are so opaque too so the lights won't seep through..
Yes and the paper quality is so unique too the Paint didn't seep ,I was surprise at that👍

Just love these customizable pigments you have! The music, the process of you mixing your color and then painting with them is like a peek inside an artist's studio just watching while they work without them noticing. The sound of all the materials clanking together makes me happy, like hearing the birds sing on a beautiful morning.

I know this is dumb, but it's so nice seeing someone film with a bandaid on rather than an exposed cut. I didn't even know that seeing wounds would trigger me but it does, so it's A+++ to see a bandaid
This WC paimt looks strangely opaque, like it's mixed with white, it has a hazy feel to it? Somehow looks more gouache to me.

What a lovely papers!! absolutely romantic and dedicate vibe 💛💕 powder pigment has amazing unique hue, I studied eastern asian painting, used to use those pigments all the time. Just a PSA for anyone who wants to try these paints but has a shallow wallet like me. I've purchased those exact watercolours from Amazon Japan and from stores like Sekaido when I lived in Japan for a fraction of what choosing keeping charges. You can also find the brand of pigments they sell for better prices through pigment tokyo.
Clearly there are reasons why they charge so much, as seen in the careful presentation of their products and if you consider that they also have to import the products and then sell them. However if you aren't able to afford the choosing keeping prices, but still want to try the paints they're usually called nihonga sumi-e paints from the brand 吉祥 (kissho). They also make THE BEST metallic/pearlescent paints I have ever used so I really recommend them. They're really opaque and they mix well with other mediums like ink! I've also used artist grade paints like DaVinci brand and find these are so much more worth it for the price.

How many pans do you tend to get out of one vial of these watercolor pigments? It's so beautiful in the different forms. From the dried crumbles in the vial, mixing in the binders, the mulling, going into the pans, the drying of the pans, and then finally to paper, every little bit gives these pigments such an amazing life.
Thanks for the nice video as always. Your videos bring me such calmness and serenity that I need while working.
