We love the night binoculars that we won on the 24 hour live stream. They are powerful and love the zoom in and zoom out. An image stabilization would be helpful especially out on full zoom. The recording feature is really nice because you can always go back and view it. It will be extremely helpful when we are in calving season. Thank you Mike for promoting this very useful tool whether you are a big ranch or a small farm. Norm & Donna
Night cameras a really helpful. My son uses them on tri-pod to hunt coyotes. Very helpful to make sure you know what youre shooting. Farming and other occupation are always changing and getting better. Enjoyed the video.
Like any new toy you have to play with it to get it right 👍. Love your videos and the relationship you have with your cattle.🥰 I am amazed with the calmness in your voice. ❤
Farmers and ranchers have always been working with "tech". They spend quite a lot of their hard earned cash on things like tractor. Take a look at the advancement in farm machinery, todays tractors are a huge improvement in many ways from those of just a decade ago. I encourage OWL to seek out the interesting and unique tech that may help ranchers.
Being in the military, Mike would appreciate how Night Vision can be very useful. Thank you for sharing opportunities that you get. Like you said, night vision soon pays for itself as you just save a few animals. Imagine what you can now see in a blizzard. WOW !
It sounds like it works for farmers like yourself with a large amount of land. For those of us that have smaller farms, it may not be as cost effective, but it's just what a person want so spend there money on. Good to see these types of available advancements that folks can have a chance to obtain, when necessary. Thanks Mike, have a great day!
IR can't see thru glass. The lenses and IR ports are made of germanium that let's IR pass through. IR reflects back off of glass and windshield plexi. LOL (former FLIR tech).
I think the best reviews are side-by-side reviews. I understand we cannot see what you see in the dark... but knowing if a new product is better than an older product is always good to know. New doesn't always mean better. I also understand different products are better for different uses... so hearing your take on what situation a product is best suited for, is nice to hear as it allows our heads to think of similar situations in our own lives we may "need" said product. You'd also mentioned about using it in the house to check the yard at night. Seeing that in this video would've been a nice addition, to see if it would help us see what's causing a commotion... with lights on or off, indoors. It was nice to see how clear the white face showed up, even if it was up close. How you were able to see black cattle in the dark with them though, eluded me. I hope they help you with the barnyard troublemakers. :)
Only you can say whether it good or no? I think the only way to really tell if to put it on a trypod? Always a fun time with you, thanks for showing us & sharing with us😊
Mike, I think I would be investing into the new DJI night vision infrared drone with the bigger battery combos. I know other livestock owners use them to check their herds and for watching coyotes, and other intruders. Good video.😎
Hi Mike, those binoculars are really cool. The one thing I noticed was that you didn't place them on your eyes for stability. Try that and let us know how that works.
Lucky Norm - I love those binoculars! It is interesting to see how technology helps you become a better rancher. Plus this information is useful to others out there at the same time whether we're ranchers or not. Thanks for sharing! Be Blessed!
I have a FLIR Scout just like yours. Unfortunately, you are incorrect about it being good only at night. It detects changes in temperature (ie, infrared) It is not limited to use in the dark, as technology that amplifies light is limited, since amplifying already bright light can cause damage to those systems. Put another way, there is a difference between IR scopes (ie, the FLIR) and night vision (NV200). IR can be used even in extremely bright light, whereas NV can only be used in reduced light or with the use of light limiters.
For checking for a cow having a calf I like the smaller one. It was much easier to see the cows even though they were red. Not a techy person, just my opinion. Have a great week.
One feature that would improve the NV200 would be the addition of image stabilization. Because without that feature I think they are lacking, also the images on your older FLIR unit seem to make it much easier to spot the cows mainly because the really stand out even the small calves. They might also add a thermal feature. Also Mike maybe it is just the camera but I think the new Gator needs to add a LED light bar because since the majority of your cows are black you need more light when driving down range on the ranch, don't want to run into one of the cows or cavles.
I have a little charger that looks like a heavy cell phone. I leave it on my dash to charge it up because it's solar. Then when I need it I use the charge from that to recharge whatever device is dead - cell phone, night vision etc. That' would probably be good for you too. Or you could recharge your night vision with a USB cord to your cig. lighter in the gator. ;) Thanks for sharing. Love your videos.
@@OurWyomingLife I hear you! I only got a cell phone to use in case of emergencies and I always forget to bring it when I go out. LOL I love how you've incorporated technology into the down-to-earth life of the ranch.
I think you should do more videos with technological advancements on the ranch Mike Maybe just a suggestion for your next video that you do like this maybe a camera you can record your videos with that attaches to your Gator or tractor
Howdy Mike, that's the best yet. I wonder how you could anchor it? That last zoom on #8 waspretty cool. Especially in Winter Preg checks 👍. Remembering our Fallen Heroes 🇺🇲. I got my Shirt yesterday. Can i say i wish they were cotton old school Ts. JO JO IN VT 💞 JO JO IN VT 💞
We use some tech tools, because sheep have to be moved pasture to pasture. We set up WiFi trail cams in each pasture some with night vision. They connect to the other halve's phone. If something crosses the beam it sends pictures to his phone.
” The batteries are dead!” Love it! Thanks for not editing that part out!
Wouldnt ya have thought Id have checked 'em before I rolled out?
@Our Wyoming Life nobody's perfect. Your like the rest of us.
I enjoy these. A lot different than when I farmed 40 years ago but I can see how beneficial technology is today. Love your channel

Enjoyed the video.
Thanks for showing the changes in ranching since my experience for ranching that is about 45 years past. Ranchers have always been inventing.
Thanks for watching Mary.
Thank you for your service hope you all had an enjoyable Memorial Day. Tell Ethel to get busy, lol.
Thanks Sue.

Love seeing these tech things! We have a much smaller ranch in VA and got some Arrowquip handling equipment partly because of you.
Like a kid at Christmas! This is going to be such a valuable tool for the ranch!
I kinda was! LOL Night vision can be real handy some night.
Thanks Ranch Tech
Coming through next week. Wyoming is going to be a lot greener than I have ever seen.
I think you will noticed its a bit greener.
Being in the military, Mike would appreciate how Night Vision can be very useful. Thank you for sharing opportunities that you get. Like you said, night vision soon pays for itself as you just save a few animals. Imagine what you can now see in a blizzard. WOW !
A few saves and the technology pays for itself. In a blizzard I think it will be real handy! Thanks RD.
We love the rach tech!!!!!

Well thank you sir for your service!
Love the new binoculars, they will come in handy when it's time for babies when it's snowing.
Technology for farming is amazing today. Thanks for this video. Wish it was a drone
Mike love the new Ranch Tech!!!
LOL Its got a ring to it doesnt it Randall.

That moon was gorgeous‼️❗️💯
Those are some nice night binoculars .I can put them to use when we go extreme camping and looking for "Big Foot"
I really find the tech stuff is great to watch. Thanks
I love seeing new tech stuff for the ranch. No sure about the night view!
I like the tech stuff also. Im sure the night view will get better as I become more familiar with it. Thanks for watching Jean.
That's amazing, better then what we had in the military. great Video
LOL Yep, thats for sure. A whole lot better now.
Yes love this episode more tech for a ranch good to be in the know. Thank you Mike
The tech your using is the bees knees. The ranching I did as a young girl is so much different. Our tech was radios
I have a window mount for my spotting scope it might be something you could use to steady it up.
There is an idea. Thanks Mike.
You need to be very smart to be a rancher and a farmer! You always have been!
Good job Mike
Thanks Johnny
Our wyoming life I hope you have a great week and what an interesting night goggles.
Thank you for your service sir. May god bless you and the family.
Thank you for that just julie.
That's a pretty cool camera. Mike, I would agree with one thing and that is the shakiness of it
Great video. That looks like a good tool. You did a great job showing the feathers. Thanks for sharing what us.
Enjoyed the VLOG. Love tech.

New useful toy for the ranch.👍❤️🇨🇦
Thanks for watching Denise.

Appreciate that Mechelle
Lolol as a seamstress I bring home a new machine plug it in and go to work...fun tech is discovered as needed
Awesome video
Happy Memorial day.. I enjoyed the video very interesting.
Thanks Liz.

Alabama is in the HOUSE 🏠 👋🏾
As Matt says when he hears Alabama. ROLL TIDE.
@@OurWyomingLife That’s Right,, Roll Tide . We take college football seriously in the south. Especially in Alabama..👍🏾
I like the tech stuff
Me too!
Pretty Neat!!
You need to ease up on the caffeine. This house is addicted to Mountain Dew as well.😊😊❤❤❤
Progress isn’t always better

To close and ya cant see the screen hardly at all. Thanks for watching Beth
@@OurWyomingLife Why do they have the form to the head then? Maybe another adjustment?
Lucky Norm - I love those binoculars! It is interesting to see how technology helps you become a better rancher. Plus this information is useful to others out there at the same time whether we're ranchers or not. Thanks for sharing! Be Blessed!
Thanks Janes have a good week.
Excellent
Thanks Joel.
Mike, it's good to see you, buddy... I'm sorry I been out of action. I have a question: Can you bring fans to your fields, IE? Wind field?
Very cool
Great review
Thanks Jesse
As you probably already figured out. The tighter the shot, the more difficult to hold it steady.
Hey Mike. Try putting the device up to your eyes. The binoculars have a formed visor so it fits your head. Maybe a little bit more steady.
Was unable to see the night vision, but I bet it was neat.
We can not only see in the dark we can shoot in the dark. Make sure you’ve got the right tool for your needs
Make you a Storage Box , line it with thick foam in it Mike.. Hang it up in the Gater..
Harbor Freight has some nice cases.
Gonna check them out and see whats available. Thanks Don.
I looked at these a few months ago. No hard case was a deal beaker for me.
Fantastic video. Great tech update
Glad ya liked it Teresa.
If you could have a rotation mount on the top of the gater to put them on at your destination. Maybe a thought Mike.🤔🙏💜
It's definitely really green which It's good for haying. I like the teck video. Yes you should do more.
Thanks Evelyn.
I love this video trying to figure out how I can afford to buy some for me

Noted- Thanks Nathan.
you're welcome
Very nice. Definitely need a tripod with it. Could have used one on my Alaskan cruise. Thanks.
Yeah needs something to steady them for sure. Thanks for watching Kevin.
You're back in a Straw Hat I see! Cool!
Getting to warm for the Stetson! Straw hat means summer is almost here!
When I "look" for my cows I really listen for them first. Easier to find them that way at night, for me at least.
Mike that's a pretty cool gadget. It seems to take some practice to make it work smoothly.
Thanks for your service? What branch did you service in? Air Force? Missile bases?
Jerry I was Air Force patrolling Missile bases among other things. Thanks for watching.
No baby 🍼 donkey 🐴 yet from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲
Gonna happen someday Francisco!
With the Digital zoom, do they specify Optical zoom? Helpful review by the way...Thanks.
You should rest the binoculars on the window of Gator to keep it steady
Howdy Mike, that's the best yet.
I wonder how you could anchor it?
That last zoom on #8 waspretty cool.
Especially in Winter Preg checks 👍.

It is pretty cool. Imagine it will get better as I use it more. Thanks for watching Deedee/
Pretty cool technology! Unfortunately I don't have a use for them as I only have 4 horses lol
If I had my dream horde ranch I'd definately have some.
Pro tip: RTFM before you try and demo something.
Good way to track ppl in the dark
Great Binoculars but night vision didn't show well on Vlog but taking your word for it...
Hello to you all ...
GBY ALWAYS 🙏❤️💙💖💖💙...💖...💙🤗✝️
Thanks for watching Linda.
If you press the binoculars to your face you will stop the shaking and eliminate light coming into the back lens. It should give a better view.
Doesn't look like it sees black cows at night too well. Great video. Keep 'em commin. 🙂
