Just got mines and honestly, everyone who says that it's a flop due to no V8 Hemi, haven't driven this new engine. It's smooth, just as powerful and has given me better economy mileage.
It's just where automobiles are going at this point you're lucky to have a gasoline engine at all. In the next 10 years I don't really think anyone will make V8 trucks.
GM has invested a ton of money in an all new V8 engine line. Ford’s Godzilla and mini-Zilla are still quite new. I don’t see V8s disappearing in your timeline.
My thoughts exactly. First of all it’s almost identical to the old truck, secondly quality and factory support matters, lastly when did ram actually surpass Chevy and ford. Never
Just drove a couple of 2025 Rams last week, a Tungsten and a Laramie sport. The interior on the Tungsten is very nice, but they all seem to come with the Ram box which I don't want...I currently have a 19 Laramie Black Edition and as power goes the twin turbos are definitely more powerful but lack sound.
Ben. Been watching you for a couple years now. Seen about 100 of your reviews during that time. They have always been really good and highly informative. And I appreciate them very much. That said, I've noticed two things lately: The test drives are often times way too short, sometimes barely leaving the dealership. An extra 3-4 minutes would be helpful. Also, seems like your enthusiasm has waned. Suggest taking a couple weeks off. Then return with a renewed appreciation of your platform. Burnout is real in every profession. It's important to completely detach from time to time so that you can keep things fresh and exciting, especially given the sheer volume of videos you produce which is immense. I'd recommend a week off every quarter. Thanks again for all that you do!
After months of truck testing between so many dealers, so many times, IMHO RAM IS THE ONE. On all levels. I couldn't touch the Limited, too expensive for me. But, took the Laramie loaded same as yours showing. I love this truck. Superb ride, smoothness and crazy power. Riding 80-90 on major HWY, she is a winner, I mean, what a ride. The lack of pipe roar, I couldn't care less. Black Friday BS incentives and rebates and loyalty brought it down, out the door at 61K. if this new/old block will run well, Stellantis can be back on the map again, no problem. Time will tell.
Wow, d camera comes on when you make when you cut the turn signals on. So you don't hit the curve, that is just crazy insane. Whatever it takes, I got to have that truck LOL. That's my new dream truck oh ye
A big car with a small turbocharged engine may seem like a solution to the problem, but such engines often require repairs after 100,000 miles. Many people get excited about the increased power compared to the old V8s, but what does it matter? We know that many people lease these cars and switch to a new one after three years, leaving those who buy them second-hand to face the potential issues.
Truck prices have gone insane over the last few years. Nice truck but massive incentives are gonna be needed to move these beasts!! Better yet, drop MSRP by about 25K. They can do it given the massive profit margins on these vehicles.
Agreed. They have shared about 50% in costs over the last 5 years. I've only driven Rams most of my driving life. I currently have one but I'm not paying the price they have on these. Its insane.
if your going to do comparison do the denali ultimate fully loaded, platinum plus f150 fully loaded, and a ram tungsten fully loaded side by side. if you can similar colors.
Ram 1500 Tungsten 540 hp and 521 lb-ft. Sierra Denali Ultimate 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. Not really comparable. Couple years, GM has more updated V8’s coming out.
Stellantis just reported Q3 sales ..huge drop from Q3 of 2023. They're in trouble and the CEO really doesn't talk like he has a coherent strategy. Wouldn't surprise me if Ram/Dodge/ Jeep either get sold off or shut down.
Beautiful truck. Only a Denali Ultimate looks better. RAM has unmatched interior quality. Infotainment screen size and adjustable suspension separates it from all others. Manual steering stack continues to confuse me. Price is fair. RAM offers big discounts.
I agree... drove them both back to back on the same day I'm a Ram guy, but the Ultimate has me peeking around the gm corner. I just wish they put rear coil springs on the ultimate.
I have owned the last 4 generations of Ram truck and this is just another example of how they have forgotten the customer base that bought their products over the last few decades.
There’s so much noise about the Hemi being phased out and missing the sound of a V8. When I step on it to pass I’m looking to get down the road - NOT make noise! Reports say this thing will deliver from a power standpoint. Can they ALL be wrong?

It's as if car manufacturers saw the ridiculous prices they can sell at during the pandemic and refuse to see any other way despite the economic winds.
So since you don’t know where to find one, that means he’s getting paid by Ram because he’s actually knowledgeable on where to go for reviews? You’re definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed are you, lol.

Meh. Same crap in a different wrapper. Still has a twin-turbo sewing machine under the hood, and if the massive Ford Eco-Boost and Toyota iForceMax recalls are anything to gauge by for foolishly trying to make turbocharged small-displacement engines do the work of a V8, I wouldn't trust it any farther than I could throw it. It's a truck. It needs low-end torque and durability. Turbos, by definition, don't do that. If I wanted something fast, I'd buy a Tesla. I've been a Dodge Ram fan for decades (it'll always be a Dodge to me), on my 4th one, a 4th-gen Hemi. Nine years, zero issues. So, it's disappointing to see Stellantis continue to take Ram in the wrong direction. This is most obvious in their increasingly poor sales numbers, as they're currently up poo-creek without a paddle, so maybe whoever buys Ram next will do it properly. But this thing? Overpriced junk. And it's not even attractive on the inside. I mean, WTF is that stupid screen doing stapled to the dash in front of the passenger seat? God that's dumb. They keep throwing cheap, shiny gimmicks at it to try to distract people from the fact that it's a poorly engineered catastrophe waiting to happen. Given their recent track record with gen-5, you'd be a fool to pay that much money for one of those things. I imagine people will maybe lease them and then dump them when they start to fall apart.
Just another set of keyboard trolls making stuff up to feel better about living on the internet. The numbers show ford has more problems in their trucks and number 1 in early engine replacement. And stellantis has 0 to do with Ram design and build. The haters will never recover from the TFL toaster results.
My last two trucks have been Rams.I spoke with a dealer today and they are not taking orders for the tungsten and it is going to be made in Mexico with a completely redesigned six-cylinder TwinTurbo engine. Lol just configured my new GMC pick up truck. Goodbye Stellantis.
I just bought a tungsten. I’m so sick of these uneducated idiots just because you can’t afford it. The V-6 is faster and makes more power than the V8 end of story discussion over.

Ben, it is a beautiful Ram for certain with very good hp and torque. However, an extremely limited demographic on who will purchase this vehicle.

Will the nice leather dash delaminate like all of the other RAM trucks with leather dashes???
Stelantis could have put a hybrid v8 at least instead of getting rid of the v8 altogether. Exterior looks great.
