Brandon, if you quick catch, you don't get the dex entry screen. That's why you got the dex entry screen for the shiny Chespin, because it's the first one you slow caught. GG on all those quick catches before that!

nope, you're wrong. Shiny pokedex doesn't have that animation. It was most likely due to the fact that he quick caught the other chespin and that this was his first normal catch.
I must be an absolute Pokémon Go LEGEND for being able to keep up with Mystic BUT in an urban area. He has several HUGE advantages over me in the game but I guess I’m just a PoGo badass 😏.
Just to mention that if you use quick catching trick to catch a new pokemon in an account it won't be registered to the Pokedex, but when you catch the same type of Pokemon without using quick catching it will be registered and then it's when you will get the XP for the first ever catching for that Pokemon. Prior to Sinnoh tour 2024, all form Rotom possible to be debut during Pokemon Festival 2023. If come to situation like Unknown, it may be not all Rotom form can be shiny during Sinnoh tour.
I was at Ala Moana for this community day. Too bad I didn't see you. Fyi, Ala Moana is considered the best grind spot in Honolulu on foot and that is shaded. I know 2 other grind spots better than Ala Moana, but those are a secret, lol.
Next time you do this, you should have only give yourself 1 hour at the beginning and award yourself 1 more hour for every task completed (maybe have 2 hours rewarded for difficult ones like catching a hundo or nundo). Then you play until you win or run out of time.
This was such a cool video becuase I’ve been to Honolulu twice and both times I played a lot of Pokémon Go, especially in 2021 when I went, and I think I’ve been to some of the places shown in this video. If the mall is the same one I went to then that’s where I caught my shiny Regirock. Also Chespin is one of my favorite Pokémon so that’s cool too. Definitely up there for one of my favorite videos on the channel.

I won't lie. This video aggravates me. 1) Why did you create yet another new account, especially to get a super dex entry of Kecleon? 2) Why would you take any phone into the ocean, let alone two, without putting them in a ziplock first? 3) Why give yourself a challenge like this with such a short schedule available not to mention needing to go into the water where your phone (being your very source of revenue) is at risk?

If you fast caught all the chespin they won’t register. Going through the full catch animation will show the dex
