  • "Heat Advisory" Lake Verret!!! Rising temperatures kept the bites real slow, Still we did the Erk and Unk Show, Wished real hard for the slightest breeze, Moved to the shade of the cypress trees' Had to fish down deep and really slow, That's when it became the 'on The go Show"!! Hope you enjoyed the Erk and Unk On The Go Show!

    What you are talking about Unk. Happened to me. I thought the boat trailer was hooked to my truck but when I went over the RR tracks by my house it came off the truck and the tongue of the trailer went under my truck when I was going down the other side. I had two men that helped me put it back on my truck. So now when I hook up my boat trailer to my truck. I use the trailer jack to raise the trailer tongue up and if it raises my truck up I know it’s locked to the truck.

      As always our friend, your views and comments are much appreciated. You are absolutely correct about actual cases of decoupling occurrances. Appears to trailer fine right up until it doesn't!! Thanks again, safe fishing!!!

    Excellent show again, gentlemen! This heat aint no joke. Do yall use crappie nibbles or something similar on the hook or strictly the jig alone?

    • @philturner4749
      @philturner4749 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Appreciate the view and comment our friend. From time to time we may use nibbles or our scent juice, depends on conditions. Stay safe and good fishing!!

    Really enjoyed this episode too! Such a pristine area. I think these sac-a-lait are some of the nicest I've seen you all catch to date. Looks like you all weathered the heat very well by taking advantage of the tree lined bayou that you mentioned. Look forward to viewing the next Erk and Unk on the Go Show! Hope you had a blessed Father's Day. I know both of you are great role models.

      Unk, what model tracker do you all fish out of? Im looking and cant decide on 17 or 19

    • @philturner4749
      @philturner4749 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Model 170 has performed just fine so far. The 190 would provide more floor space for gear or another fisherman. Keep in touch!!

      @@philturner4749 Thanks for the 411 Phil, I am leaning to either a Triton 178 or the Tracker 170 w/60 hp. will be all the boat I need for my fishing adventures.

    Awesome show , I have a question about when to go on the water for a newbie had my boat almost two years, I always fish in jack miller, I was told that the water get rough fast and we basically have the same boat?

    • @philturner4749
      @philturner4749 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely friend!! We've fished the Jack Miller's areas for years. Fished mostly the Bulltail take off canals and canals leading to Pat's Bay.
      Lake Verret can get rough when the winds pickup. As such we may stay near the norh-end canals near Pierre Part. Should you see us at Gaudet's Landing or out on the bayous, we'll be happy to offer any assistance and a courtesy hand-tied jig. Stay safe, good fishing!!
