🐘 Sri Lanka Adventure: Day 4 - Elephant Encounters & Polonnaruwa Exploration (Part 3) 🐘
Welcome to Part 3 of our Day 4 adventure in Sri Lanka! After an incredible climb up Sigiriya Rock, the excitement continued as I experienced something truly magical-watching elephants bathe from a very close distance on our way back to the hotel! 🐘💦
Afterward, I stopped at a nearby local restaurant for a delicious breakfast and even packed some food for my family to enjoy back at the hotel. Our next destination was the Ancient City of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage site rich with history and beautiful ruins. Exploring the vast ancient ruins was like stepping back in time and uncovering a hidden chapter of Sri Lanka’s cultural heritage.
To top off the day, we embarked on an exhilarating safari, where we were thrilled to encounter wild elephants up close once again. Seeing these majestic animals in their natural habitat was a breathtaking experience we’ll never forget. 🌿🦁
