The cop could not fathom that he couldn't call the shots on the EMS side of things.
It definitely seemed like they didn’t have a close working respect though. I’m from the U.K. and all of our shows like this you can see the respect given by police to paramedics/firefighters.
Yeah cops need to understand unless the individual has a weapon or we say that we need them restrained by PD, that EMTs and Paramedics can handle things. They’re not medically trained, and they’re clearly not trained well in de-escalating things.
As soon as the police officers say that it's clear for EMTs to enter they are in control of the victims/suspects. At least that's what it's like here in the Netherlands afaik.

i've experienced pepper spray, not directly, but i worked at a detox facility and they sprayed the room and we had to walk through it for our training (so we were prepared). that was bad enough, can imagine how it feels directly in the eyes

The people of the Phoenix, AZ area are incredibly lucky to have so many well trained fire fighters, law officers & paramedics. It makes a huge difference & we need to thank them for their hard work & dedication to duty. Keep in mind, it's easier to just leave you on the side of the road.

Those aren't zoonotic diseases, (transfer from people to animals & vice versa,) . Stuff like salmonella is. So the dogs should be fine, plus dogs that are used like that are vaccinated for a ton of stuff.

Funny enough, for me the pain was constant UNLESS I was pouring water directly into my eyes. The only way to stop the skin from burning was to fully submerge my head into water. It affects everybody a little differently.
I kinda feel for pepper spray guy because I have chronic health problems and I know what it feels like when the discomfort of the care you are receiving is just as miserable as the underlying problem.
