It's a common theme where men refer to themselves as "widows." Widows are females. "Widowers" are male. This is common knowledge, so if a man calls himself a "widow," he doesn't know what he is talking about. Red flag.

I’m lonely sometimes, too, but I’d never be so stupid or desperate or gullible to give a total stranger - someone you’ve never met - my hard-earned money. Don’t feel sorry for victims. They are buying the affection they want so it’s a win-win situation: the person gets the attention they need and the scammer gets the money he wants.

As a woman, I do not support men financially.
When my daughter was little, my brother asked for rent money. I wouldn’t give it to him. I was a single parent with a small child and low paying job. He should have been helping me. Not the other way around.
There are lonely people who fall for these scams but not every lonely person does.
I have seen and heard people on this channel and another channel where the lonely person saw the red flags and did not send the scammer any money at all.
Give your love to yourself !!! You are the most important person for yourself, not somebody you don't know.

I really do hate how these damn victims try to portray themselves is 100% altruistic. It’s more believable when you show some character flaws. It wasn’t all about the daughter you wanted to man and you were willing to engage with the daughter to obtain the man as well. I hate how they try to portray themselves as a saint you can be a victim without being a saint
I’ve known you for 3 weeks, and I have never seen you, but I love you more than I’ve loved anyone in my entire life…. This man is either a scammer or mentally ill.
To have this happen especially during the holidays is just so sad.

This guy was smarter than the "doctor" who tried to scam me. There were a few red flags in her story. Gorgeous international doctors rarely have trouble getting dates. Also a man is a widower, not a widow. The creep who contacted me had trouble keeping his story straight. I'm pretty sure he was juggling multiple mugus, their word for idiots who fall for their scams. Most likely he was sitting in a cyber cafe, boiler room in Lagos. When he asked me for an iTunes card so he could phone his daughter I was so turned off. I wondered why some international doctor who was able to randomly contact women by Internet would need an iTunes card to contact his daughter. I told him I would see what I could do and then blocked him. I felt violated by the whole incident and began to educate myself about scams. After I talked to that creep the mumus, their word for idiots just wouldn't leave me alone. They actually sent me the same scam photo multiple times with different names. It's called the 419 scam, after the penal code. I can't keep up with all of these scams. I don't respond to people I don't know. Now I won't accept mutual friend requests. Be suspicious. If something sounds fishy it more than likely is. Stay safe ❤️

Wait, he claims they will "throw him in prison for LIFE" for breaking an airline policy and really expected her to believe that, yet he's "smart"?
She let a stranger ruin her Christmas.
Spent so much money for Christmas gift for someone she just met.
Immediately block if a stranger wants you to communicate with their minor child.
One more thing: never accept anything from a stranger online. Remember Mama's caution about not accepting, candy, or other gifts from strangers. Scammers like to try to get you to cash checks for them and get you to send them the money. They always have some silly reason why they can't do it themselves. The check bounces after you've sent them the money. They also ask you to cash checks, etc., and send the money to others. That is money laundering and in addition to being scammed you could end up in jail. Again, be realistic handsome surgeons don't need to troll for women and they have myriad financial resources. Stay safe ❤️
As a single mother ...I never introduced my daughter to potential relationships until way into the relationship.....
First red flag was.....A Doctor who specializes in " infant/child care " calls himself a Pediatrician...
I am relieved this woman had a minimal financial loss and that she contacted her brother who helped her see the light.
My guess is by now she's caught some TH-cam videos about scammers and how they operate.
It's heartbreaking that she lost so much emotionally. I frequently see these creeps doing their best to target people on Facebook and i warn as many as I can.

These stories are all so similar. I've been contacted on a dating site that I'm on by several men who say they are surgeons. Their profile says their degree is a PhD. That tells me right away that it's a scammer, and I report them. The other dead give away for me is the language that they use, although I have to say that there are people who don't write well and don't use proper forms of grammar. However, there is usually a combination of factors that make it easy to spot a scammer. It's a bit sad to me that it seems like all the men who contact me are scammers. I have friends who have met and dated men on dating sites, so I know that it is possible. I just am not going to be taking in by a scammer.
I’ve had 2 scammers contact me using different pictures of this man. I feel so bad for the real person in these images.

This lady's story highlights the importance of keeping a thick wall between one's private and professional lives. Why in the world were women (herself and her co-workers) who work for a medical insurance company communicating with doctors outside an office setting and office hours, and on FB no less?? This makes no sense at all! It makes even less sense that she didn't smell a rat when this "doctor" turned the conversation to highly personal issues.
And why, WHY, did she buy this dude clothes???
Everything in this story demonstrates a lack of personal/professional boundaries.

Wow now I actually see how the scammers make it a whirlwind relationship. My heart hurts for the woman. Those people are just begging to be a part of hell. Nicely written and narrated.

Thanks for sharing. Message to all: have a good friend or family member help you vet people, never give money or gifts, require frequent video calls, and date people, at least within your region, that you can meet (avoid oil rig workers and others requiring int'l flights).

If you would know ad minima, how children are, you would have known that there is no way for a kid living his/her life with a single parent, to be happy to have his/her mom/dad finding love and having to share him/her with someone. This is the most ridiculous part of all these scamming stories
Yeah never looked at it that way. Young kids don't have that open arms policy. They wouldn't be happy to have a new mom, rather be mad to share their dad with a stranger.
Same thing happened to me a guy posing as eye surgeon messaged me he said he lost his wife in accident and his daughter is 12 years old. After one week he asked for 1000 dollars . I refused instantly. Next day I only asked him to send me 500 dollars since my bank account is freezed. He vanished from the scene !!

I am one to believe what people tell me and feel sorry for them so I send them cards and money. I have been scammed by men several times talking to them online they really do make you believe everything they say. I really do need to get stronger and quit doing this. 🙏❤️🙏
You do realize that these are just young Nigerian kids that you’re sending money and gift cards too, right? And you keep getting scammed because once you send one money, they sell your info on to other scammers.

How these scammers think by saying they are from Sweden, or Germany to cover up their accent. You can't cover that African accent. Its so obvious.
A few weeks and already sending money, iPhone and gift cards😳. I couldn’t imagine telling someone who I am dating in person that I love them within a couple weeks, let alone a a total stranger that I never even met, or video chatted for that matter.

These scammers all use the same script or similar script and twist it up to keep you hooked so they can take you for every cent they can get..

I had a handsome Instagram scammer in love with me…which I led him on. He said he was Turkish and called Jeremy Chechen. Both the very English first name and the very left field surname amused men immensely. I mean choose Mehmet or something, but not Jeremy 😂
