absolutely magnificient . So powerful and yet so peaceful. A pure jewel. This renders the soul of Spanish classical guitar perfectly. I am in awe. Mariethe from France
What are you talking about? Do you know who built the Alhambra? Nothing to do with the Spanish Empire. That was over a century after the Alhambra was built.
One of my favourite pieces of music - and of the many performances on here, I find this the best - the smooth tremolo, beautiful expression and lack of hesitation in the transitions of fingering positions - just wins hand down. I keep trying to find a better interpretation and performance, and keep failing...
Why is there so few players who played this piece doesn't sustain the F note on the fifth string at bar 9...Tárrega wrote it that way... Could someone give any idea on how to play that bar as notated??
True, a mystery. I had to check how I play it and I twist my left hand so that I can keed the F and reach the b in the 7th postion. He has a record deal though and the performance is just as good as Yepes, as someone wrote, so.. ^.^
It’s the opposite mate. Through his tremolo Marten has just stated “God is great”. I do not read “God is not great” in this much as I also like Hitchens : )
The "tremolo" is irregular. The rhythm is, at times, inconsistent. The sounds played on the lower strings are often not clear, like the finger is not in the center of the fret. A mediocre interpretation with too many faults.
A few faults and a pretty regular tremolo, the irregular rhythm is just rubato, I think it’s a decent attempt, but of course not as well as the masters, especially Pepe Romero
One of my favorite interpretation ❤❤❤
i've been searching for this a long time. that's for my ears
Very few can play "Recuerdas de la Alhambra" like this. Reminds me of my old favorite Narciso Yepes. Very well done, Mårten!
Enkelt sagt, fantastiskt. This is the kind of music i would listen to always.
Beautiful! Such control of dynamics.. hard to find.
Muy buena interpretación la del Maestro Marten Falk. Muchas gracias.

Bella interpretación y ejecución, saludos desde Venezuela el país de Dios.
Bravo, Maestro!
Beautiful rendition, the musicality evokes the emotion that transcends imagery of the rise and fall of the Spanish empire.
Eh? Lol
Thought the exact same thing 👍
Not the moorish empire?

Fallin love with arab music
Ok, but this is not arabic music. It's andalousian (southern Spain).
Fantastico

Boring and quite a few buzzes

You don't know what you are talking about. It's a beautiful interpretation. And what's the point of your comment? You are a small mean person.
