CALFIRE Fire Engines and Crews Responding to & Fighting a Wildfire! [ON SCENE]

CALFIRE and Santa Cruz FD were dispatched to a working Wildland Fire this afternoon at the Canyon near the corner of CA-1 and Shaffer Road. Multiple apparatus, aircraft, and personnel were deployed and successfully extinguished the flames. (Sat. Oct 21, 2017) At some points I was using 2 cameras at once, so it gets a little shaky!

AWDfreak the program is optional you go to fight fires and they pay them 1 dollar an hour plus another aditional 2 dollars wich in jail 20 bucks a day is a lot. No1 is forced to do this. They also choose inmates that servd short periods not dangerous criminals. They also deserve the same respect other fire fighters get

@@meecho7850 all wild fires are fake. The BLM and USFS/Cal Fire and private crews use CGI. Wildland firefighters spend the season watching prono and drinking beer only

priscillapastimes do you really think that? If we weren't in such a horrible drought it would not be as bad as it has been the last 5 year's. I know northern California got good rain fall last year but that only made it worse for wildfires because it helped grow a lot brush and there wasn't rain falling throughout the year so it dried it out and made it so much easier for the wildfires to spread

Actually most of them are on accident, from nasty ass smokers who think the planet is their ash tray. Still lit cigarette butts are responsible for the majority of wildfires.
