    Thank you so much! God’s timing is perfect and this was just what we needed to hear today. As a Christian mom trying to do the biblical teaching and training daily with a toddler (and facing new struggles) this stepped on my toes and not only provided such good insight to a better way to discipline, but also that “mom” herself needs to consider these heart probing questions in some areas of my own life and really strive to model what would honor the Lord in every situation. Children see it all and they soak things up so easily so it’s crucial to model what you want them to be. It reminds me of the children’s song (that applies even in adulthood) He’s still working on me to make me what I ought to be. Thank you so much for this today as it will sure help our home and has shifted my mindset towards a more Godly approach concerning discipline. So thankful for the gift of a child and the gift it is of being a mother and I know that ultimately our daughter belongs to the Lord and we want to always point her to Him that she may come to know and accept him as her personal Savior at an early age! I am so amazed at this perspective, didn’t realize some key things I have been missing, and didn’t fully grasp that discipline is a big opportunity to point her to Jesus!

    Genuine question here.. “you told a lie but you are not a liar”… but how does that work with sin?? You sinned but you are not a sinner? But we ARE telling them that they are sinners. I am genuinely confused here please help me understand.

    • @thediaryofken
      @thediaryofken 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      We are born into sin and sinful by nature BUT I believe once we come to Christ and follow Him, we are no longer labeled “sinners” because He died for our sin- it’s covered in the blood so that’s no longer our identity. We may fall into sin, but we are not defined by sin. So for our children, since we believe in faith that they will be saved (if they aren’t already) we don’t address them by their sin. We speak LIFE, not death (proverbs 18:21)! We tell them the truth, that they were born into sin and theyre sinners by nature BUT, again, because we know that salvation exists in Christ, we don’t call them “liars” “thieves” etc. if we call them that it shapes their mindset and how they view themselves and it negatively impacts them as they grow older. We can address the sin and address that their FLESH craves sin without making the sin their identity

    • @shannonm2005
      @shannonm2005 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because even if you’re a person who does not lie, you’re still a sinner.
      Telling a lie but not being a liar is not the same thing as not being a sinner.
      It’s like helping your child establish their inner dialogue. If you call them a name like a liar when they tell a lie, that becomes their view of themselves. That becomes their inner monologue. Then they think “I can’t help it, it’s who I am” and then they become comfortable with lying because they feel like they can’t control it because that’s become their view of themselves.
      Does that make sense?
      So help them to say “you made a mistake, but that doesn’t define you, repent and learn” instead of “you told a lie and that makes you a liar” and they view themselves as that

    Appreciate this but frustrated at the lack of virtual electronic printable chart once purchased. Wise Words for Moms selling at 4.99$. Don’t know why she doesn’t have the option to sent the PDF by email of the chart. The only option is mail? This adds a whopping 27$+ for international shipping to Canada and with 2024 modernization, sending the chart electronically would help reach a wider audience. I really love the concept for parenting Biblically but am feeling frustrated at the lack of electronic version of this resource.

    I love this! But I’m worried this wld turn kids off to God too. Did your children ever hate that you pulled these things out and tell them what God says is right/wrong. As milena said being shamed I guess. I wouldn’t want them to start resenting me teaching them these things about God and using it every time they did something wrong. How do your kids feel about it now?

    • @RCGWho

      I think we should be repenting as a daily habit. Many Christians practice something called Examine, I think it's called. You pause at the end of every day and ask the Holy Spurit to help you examine your day and your heart and repent. It's a good and necessary habit.

    what do you call a person who lies? a liar. whether you’re calling them a liar or saying that they lied, that still makes them a liar in the yes of God, and the promise of forgiveness as a child of God is only true if they are genuine believers. your toddler (speaking to everyone in general) is most likely not a believer so saying that they are a a forgiven child of God would be wrong. thoughts?

      I've always wondered why people parent their children as if they are already believers.... in my experience, forcing Biblical beliefs and standards on children who haven't claimed Christ yet, seems to make children either legalistic, if they become believers, or completely reject Christ later on. :/ Idk if that was related to your quesiton, but that is something I've thought about too

    • @MissMuffin-dv4rm

      @@bmylove4444 The Word of God asks us to instruct and discipline our children. Ephesians says "don't provoke your children to anger but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." In Deut 6 God tells the Israelites to teach his commands diligently to the children and to talk about them pretty much all the time. Deut 4 and 11 also say this. Our job as parents are to teach children about God and raise them up to be believers. If they grow up and, God-forbid, walk away from the Lord, that's between them and God. But the Bible makes it clear we are to raise our children to be believers.

      Children are under grace because the bible and God has an age of accountability. Given your logic do you think toddlers are in hell suffering for sin because they weren’t “confessing believers” ?
