About the 1985.
The reason you never seen one was that nearly all of them were melted down because there was no need for 20 cent pieces thanks to the large quantities issued in 1981 and 1982. Had there be not melted down, we could had already found one in circulation.

Actually 1985 and 1988 are among circulation. I found five 1985 and one 1988.
Could be from mint sets.

Hello, I have never heard of a $1 2000 with a missing let, sounds like a very rare error. Would like to see pictures. And the C is the Canberra mint mark.

I often get bad condition 20c coins from 1966-1982.
That is normal, I rarely see good conditioned coins of that period. Even older Japanese coin are well used.

Out of those, i got the 1997, 1969 and 2011 20 cent coins. Do you know how much they are worth all together?
I sell the 1997 and 2011 for $2 and the 1969 for $4, all circulated. Not a fortune, but more than face value, which most years are. Uncirculated are worth more.

1968 what can you tell about it ? And another centenary of federation 2001 that has WA state on it as I've come across mine having the side rim marks that has come onto the WA side picture just at top of WA basically middle edge \\\\\\ have you come across this , OK now here is a funny one I think no one really would like being the 100 Australian taxation office centenary 2010......working for all Australians.
Errors and low mint 2001 coins are good to collect. 1968 has no coin sets, so are hard to get in high grade, hence they are worth more.
