I've been frustrating about these words especially in ''can vs can't ''. But today I feel so nice after knowing about the slight differences between these words. From now I will try to used to these words in a daily conversation. Thank you so much my dear Hadar.
It’s remarkable class as usual master Hadar!! You were born to teaching English!! It’s easier to understand your explanation and everything makes sense!! Thanks God we have you!! I’m so grateful to learning from you !! You’re the master of English!!❤❤❤
You are very good worker, that means that you are doing your work thoroughly. And for the readers of these words. Do you know what is the basic thing in every good work? The controle. And what is necessary for the memorising of everything /inclusivly also the music/? Repetition. You do it also. Repetitio est mater studiorum.
Good explanation! I am a native speaker, and have no issue with these words. But I enjoyed hearing your break-down of the pronunciations. One thing, however -- I do not put the "y" in "quiet."
Great video! 🥰 I'm going to add these pairs to the 15 minutes pronunciation practice (another great video you made...) תודה רבה על כל הסרטונים שאת עושה! תוכן ברמה מעולה
Good explanation hadar nevertheless I find very difficcult to pronunce can vs can't .. specially the negative form the sound is very similar..there is to do mucho poractice..Thank You..
Hadar you are the best teacher ever!!! I am a visual person, so having the IPA symbols after listening your wonderful pronunciation makes everything so clear. Thanks a lot for this magnificent lesson.🤩
I've some difficulties with words like thought, through, throughout, thorough. Could u do a vídeo about that? It's really tough for non-native speakers!!
Hi Hadar, thanks for this relevant lesson, I needed it! The most confusing for me was "word-world" but your explanation was so helpful now it's ok! By the way there is another confusing pair for me : "wonder-wander". Take care
Thanks Hadar for producing this Great lesson 👍. It's clear to understand each word's pronounce because I can follow your mouth or facial movements to speak. Wondering if you have a pronunciation class like that teaching method?
funny video, I see all the word I struggle with until few years back (can-can't is the worst). I guess it would have helped me at that time. miss the of-off pair
"were" was my hardest word to say. I mixed it up with the pronunciation of the word "where". Thank you very much for your excellent videos. I love it! :) Another word I stumbled upon is: "treat", like the expression: deceive or regale! I pronounced "treeit" rather than "tr_t"
Thank you so much for your teaching way! Easy, fun, and very clear to understand for an English learner. Now, I feel easier to recognize more other words which are nearly similar syllables. The master English teacher, Miss Hadar!
Exquisite explanation. U rocks. #but 🙏 For me, 57yo, in my site, Brasil, I've seen a zilion another country people with a huge accents gramar mistekes, but "WE" don't car(e). We like it. Whatever. We just want know people, you know. I've been realizing that there is a lot of lot of lot of ... teacher concerning about straight rules, like like seems a native speaker. just a observation. I'm not critizing. Grammar is important, people is in trainee procces . Is there mostly the accent, so important for a person that learning another idiom ? In my opinion, every one in this planet, have your own accent, and this also define each one. I'm a trainee, ever, Eng learning by myself. ...(after burn, rsrs LOL xxx, I'l put this in gooTranslate and gonna learning about my mistakes here.) LOL. Congrats again.
I have a good exercise here, "if I were where you were, I would wear warfare wear there 🤣 And then, some pairs: borough vs. borrow, color vs. collar, and also a triplet: suing - sewing - sowing 😃 It may appear that first two words of the triplet are supposed to be pronounced same way, but that's not true, is it?
Thank you fo your videos! Could you make an another videos about not a pair but a bigger numbers of almost similar words like HERE, HAIR, HEAR, HARE, AIR, EAR please! Becouse often it`s quite hard for foreingers to distinguish these sounds )
At least in my accent, "hear" and "here" sound identical, as do "hair" and "hare". This here hare has hair on his ear but can't hear without air. "Hear" has "ear" in it. This is not a coincidence! "Ακουσαι" has "ους" in it; no coincidence either. And it's not a coincidence: they're all cognates.
The most words which confuse me that "where - wear - were", I still can't repeat the sound clarely. I know that is my fail, but thanks anyway for that perfect explanation. I appreciate that!
dear teacher, help me out a bit with the canvs cant...it seems to me, everytime both are pronounced in a sentence, the stress moves...i mean...if it is affirmative, the stress flow onto the pronouon ..like "i" kn......bit if it goes negative...the stress goes onto I"kén"...does it make any sense to you?

@@hadar.shemesh I'm overjoyed that you replied even though you are busy.
As a native English speaker, I didnt realize how much differently we speak vs spell until I started teaching kids to read.
