I'd put cracked candle in freezer to pop out wax easier and cut it up for wax melts I wouldn't risk trying to burn with that size crack or pop it out and put in a empty jar or on a plate to burn it but just not leaving it in cracked jar

I definitely wouldn't light the candle in the cracked jar. It could do worse than leak, the jar itself could shatter or explode from the heat since the integrity of the jar is already compromised.
The best idea does sound like to chop the wax up and use it as wax melts

I ended up removing the wax chunk and putting it in a new jar!

Great spring summer scents!! I always try to use up my older ones too. Why don’t you just rejar the cracked candle into an empty jar. I do that frequently especially when they arrive broken. I save a few empty candle jars just for that reason. I think it would be safer 😊

So I literally broke an almost new candle! It slipped off my hand(was not burning it at the time) and the jar hit the table and had glass all over. So I took it to the kitchen, got a kitchen knife, and I cut it carefully into 4 quarters, and carefully pulled each chunk out of the glass jar, and took out the wicks. I placed the four huge pieces in a Tupperware container and will melt each piece in a heat safe small bowl on top of my candle warmer that I bought on Amazon. There's no sense in wasting a perfect candle just because the vessel broke. Good luck!

Maybe rejar your aromatherapy candle with the crack into a better jar ? Freeze it and pop it out and find a new home ?
