I joined the book club in August with Ravished. Since then I also read all the previous months. I liked them all except a moment in time (1 star) and Shanna (2 stars). So I would say liking 10 out of 12 books is pretty good.

I love bertice small books.
the captive enslaved heroine happens a lot. but the master falls in love with her and then they develop a relationship and she falls in love with him
that's not stockholm syndrome

I prefer older historical romance novels because its full of adventure and drama.
current market is so boring.
its two characters with tropes who have tea, go to balls and get married.
I also like the descriptions of clothes and food. it brings to story to life and its complete the escapisms
