Ladies I just turned 55 last week and I also was this kid. 16, no car and a "best friend who I was desperately in love with. If needed me, I was on my way (in daddy's car) to his house. We would play around and usually ended up making love. He was the ONLY guy who actually made love ❤️ to me. He was gentle and caring and I will always love him for the way he treated me when we were together. But he always went back to the girl he was dating at the time. Until they hurt him. Good for you for getting out of the abusive situation and getting somewhere safe. I know how that can feel when you finally are able to get “free” from the toxic situation. I’ve been in your shoes before except I wasn’t living with him and wasn’t married. I kept breaking up with him and didn’t really know why until I went out of state and was able to think about things.

I was in a toxic situation like this for around 6 years, but finally, with God's help and becoming a Christian, I got out! Now it's going on 14 years later! God is good! I truly can empathize with other men and women that find themselves in these toxic situations.

This was me in my early 20's. I dated a bad boy for 2 years. Even after we split up anytime he texted me and said, "come over" I would immediately leave my house and go over there. I did this so many times and for so many years until I finally sat down and thought to myself what am I doing? I'm only hurting myself and I went cold turkey.
