agree, the two things I hate about a prothtesis is 1 reverse smile line, 2 too small fake teeth, because you spot in an instant that something is wrong and the person must wear a prothesis, another common mistake is: the teeth look fake because none of them potrudes from the line or angled a little, they are the same lenght etc.
Hi! I needed one implant with bone and in the process had my crowns removed so everything would be replaced and match, correcting uneven teeth and gums. My front tooth, which is a crown and has recession was removed and the tooth underneath the crown is black. I will see dentist again soon and discuss my options. I am just wondering what sort of options there are other than implanting it. Can she make a crown larger? Will I still see the outline of the dark tooth? Can a periodontist bleach the tooth or do something about it without removing the tooth? I suspect that the crown was not sealed well. This crown fell off several years ago and I went in to an area dentist who glued it back on. It was not black then. It's not infected, it's just black. Ugh.. Please give me your general thoughts on what my options are. I'd like to have a bit of knowledge before I go in to discuss. Thanks a bunch!

Hi Henry, unfortunately it's not so much what is the best type, but is your dentist about to design a great denture for you. If you have done good teeth remaining, then a cobalt Chrome denture is what people tend to prefer. Every dentist will charge differently for this.
