I worked and bought my RX 4 off the show room floor. 1976, I asked the sales man what the break-in period was sitting there warming up, he said none, I dropped the clutch at 6000.
Not sure about his face but my buddies in my car were stunned. Very few cars could keep up in a rat race throughout South St.Pete. I just squeezed out 130 mph on the Interstate, the car had it all. Of course it was Sunburst Red with a white interior...... Still my favorite of three rotaries.......oh, I need to stop.....😥

Oooh of course. I wrecked mine twice, each time took three months to replace the front end. My insurance in 1977 went to over $1,800 a year........had to sell.

I’m going to be up until at least 3am editing. Probably get a few hours sleep. Change tyres which you think would be easy but the rear end needs to come apart. Eat something in the middle of all that & spend time with the boys. I’ll do my best 😂👊❤️

In the mid 80's I was a Pit Marshal in SCCA and worked IMSA races, especially Sebring. One year I had the Silk Cut Jag, a Porsche and that crazy Argo Mazda, all prototype cars.
I have to walk around the cars during pit cycles during the race, I dreaded going to the rear and when it would leave, well, my ears still ring and I wore protection!
So Mr. Driver came in the pits a little too hot, turned deep into pitbox to avoid other piited car locked front right and slid where I was standing......lesson learned. I became the Argo hood ornament sprawled out on the hood.
He had the right Marshal........just sayin😉

Weight distribution better on that side, huge amount of work involved and was bit weird first drive now it’s fun to b on that side. Turbo and all the heavy stuff is on opposite side of driver chassis is Aus spec just modded
