This is the first Haslab that I'm not 100% on the price. Although, if you only get the regular version, it's cheaper than the Ghost. Only the deluxe will be on par with the most expensive TVC Haslab to date, the barge. I suppose, you could argue that it's a comparable value to the barge, at the deluxe set. I'm partial to large vehicles over playsets though. With playsets, while this cantina is incredible. I could make do with a card board & styrofoam custom background set. You can argue that the same can be done with large vehicles, but to me, it's just not the same. I will be backing it, but to me, the barge was a better value for $500. Although, with all the tiers, this one does provide the most figures. Even the base offering includes 3 exclusive & desired characters. The base barge only had Jabba. The base Razor Crest only had Dinn. The base Ghost had Hera & Chopper, I believe. Maybe, if it hits 20k, we can get an Akmena. Although, I'd love a Jenny & Chalmun too. As for the rest of the bar patrons, Hasbro can release updated versions of them, with their new 2025 campaign of "Return to Tatooine."
I didn't get the barge either but really wanted it. I was a shock to see that and for the value it seemed way more worth it. That was a full and complete vehicle and this cantina seems so unfinished or not quite enough. They knew what they were doing though by adding in the Tonnikas to it. There's just so much coming out it's impossible to get everything. I just realized I haven't bought any Vintage Collection since The Force Awakens. The stuff I've bought recently were Black Series and Retro Collection and I got those on mega sale for more than half off.
@@ThereBeToys Yeah, they are really banking on the Tonnikas to help save this one. A few of the fan sites have been campaigning for the Cantina & Tonnikas. Of course, they would offer them together. It's a win win, right? Fortunately, I dropped BS & never did Retros. It's only TVC for me now. Although, I'll have to sell some more stuff I don't want anymore. I'm done with Super 7 MOTU, so they'll be going. I'm still debating on dumping the majority of my Classifieds too. Seems like ML X-Men are the only 1/12th scale figures I want to keep. Also some Spider-Man & Avengers.
The prices the least few years have gotten so high. I know prices go up naturally, and I think a lot of is has to do with volume, if they make less of the toy it will cost more, etc.
As far as Oirginal Trilogy goes, the Tonnika Sisters were really the last figures that needed to get made after all these decades of speculation about them. About the price, I really think Hasbro priced it to include 6 figures that they presume will fund, like $250 for the main base (similar to Jabba's Throne) and then $25 per figure X6 meaning $150, the total being $400. It does not feel so bad on this day and age, and I think the Tonnika Sisters are part of what justifies the price, like a deal could be done for this set only. I will pull the trigger, although the price is deeper when you live in Europe like I do ($600 for the deluxe set). Now, since Hasbro listened to us this time, I really want them to listen to us again and produce a gigantic DEATH STAR HASLAB for A New Hope's 50th anniversary in 2 years from now (2026 for 2027), as there might never be another opportunity for that again ;)
I guess that breakdown is pretty accurate, it's just real sticker shock to see it. Glad you got it, I'm sure it's gonna look cool. I really would just love the Tonnika Sisters so I don't know that I would get this set. Not with everything I already preorderd LOL.
About a Haslab deathstar, once again, where do you put it? Most of us are running out of room. I'd only buy one since it'd be expensive and huge. Haslabs need to concentrate on vehicles where most of us, would be buying multiples. An upscaled Uwing, Bo Kataan's Mandalorian starfighter, the bad Batch's Marauder, Ahsoka's T6, a stormtrooper transport is what I want. I'd probably buy 3 to 5 Uwings.
2 x Wuher, POTF2 original and a slight retool to hand figure 2 x Nabrun POTF2 original and silver repaint figure. In the Hasbro video they say that Wuher and sisters will never be released in any other way. The stretch goal figures will be released in future but on different card backs
i want to get it and i want the tonnikas and arlies schous , mega jay said maybe they will release the tonnikas later because they said , this is the only way to get them on 'this ' card, so he said maybe they will come out later on another card
GOOD CATCH by Mega Jay. I am betting he is right and I feel like they could re-release the Tonnikas for the 50th Anniversary just maybe without the swap-out hands and such. I'd love to see them made in the Retro Collection.
I'm pretty excited about it. I backed the deluxe 😊. The figures are fantastic. If it doesn't get backed, oh well. Maybe next time. Great review. Just subscribed. First time ever seeing your content 😊

I just can't wrap my head around their price points. Actually all toy company prices. It's just insanity.

@@lamarravery4094 A HasLab Desth Star would pretty much need to be it's own shelving unit.
Ah, I remember my younger days when $500 seemed like a lot of money.
It still seems like a lot of money to me 😆
$500 use to be rent for the month. Those were the good ol days.

I don't want too miss out on them twins ,the aftermarket is going too be crazy high prices if you miss out so i backed it deluxe set
Wow thats great, do you have ideas on how you'll display it?
I couldn't agree more about the Tonnika Sisters figures! Hasbro even said during the livestream that the Haslab is the only way to get them, for now.
That's my fear. 😓
My dad actually kit bashed the sisters long ago, and he got pretty darn close!
There's quite a few customs out there. Maybe they'll add them to the Retro Collection, that would be enough for me.
To me, the deluxe should come with another one or two more exclusive figures. Muftak or Momaw Nadon.
Definitely agree.
ill only collect the figures once theyre out on ebay
i want to get it and i want the tonnikas and arlies schous , mega jay said maybe they will release the tonnikas later because they said , this is the only way to get them on 'this ' card, so he said maybe they will come out later on another card

Put it on a coffee table. That's probably the best way to display it.
I'm pretty excited about it. I backed the deluxe 😊. The figures are fantastic. If it doesn't get backed, oh well. Maybe next time. Great review. Just subscribed. First time ever seeing your content 😊
Thank you, glad you watched. And congrats!!!! I'm sure it will be exciting to have that full cantina out on display with all the figures. 🙌
This is too rich for my blood. I think the deluxe set is probably worth $300 max.
Right that's around what I was thinking too.
I expected a few more niche aliens for this.
RIGHT, I did too!
Pass
Me too, at that price I cannot even justify it even if its slightly cool.
they could have had it to come with a floor, even a detachable one, i know toymakers make floors, i forget which youtuber showed one
A floor would have added much needed value to this. Even a simple mat or something.
I am not interested in this so pass it’s doesn’t not even worth a lot of money either so definitely a pass for me
Rip off looks cheap
For that price it needs to be amazing. There's some cool elements but something seems unfinished about it.
