    I just got home from my first rehearsal with this pedal. I am stunned by how great it sounds with my rig. (Palomino V32 head into a custom 2x12 cab with WGS Veteran 30 speakers.) It sounds really big, fat and round with tons of sustain and not a hint of graininess in the top end. My bandmates loved it too. Thanks again, Hanning. I really wouldn't have given this pedal a second look if it hadn't been for your demo.

    Hi Francisco,
    thanks for your question.
    The British True Tone is a pretty good solution for classic rock, it will give you that AC and Led Zeppelin Sound without a problem. You don't need a lot of Gain but definition and dirt. it will give you that. As an alternative you might want to check out the HOT PLEXI (I have a demo video of that one) is has more gain, but also gives you a great classic rock sound. The DELUXE CRUNCH (check the video) can give you several levels of gain for classic rock !!

    White Chedder sounds suspiciously similar to Back in Black by AC/DC . . . I like it!

    Thanks for ur reviews but PLEASE stop with that loud background music or lower it down more. It's very distracting and makes it hard to hear what ur saying. So many make that same mistake

    The ultimate drive might also work, it gives you a power amp distortion sound with nice compression... or use the vintage overdrive (Tube Screamer) to boost the British...

    This Pedal Is Very Flexible. GET IT !!! Ive Had All Their Pedals, Got Rid Of Of Few And Kept A few. This Is A Keeper, totally !!! Many, Many Tones. I Also Run My Distortion pedals Thru It At Times And Man It Rocks !!! I Run Everything Thru The PLX8, Another Awesome Product.
    Tone Options Are Endless. Rock On !!!

    True Bypass routes the input Directly to the output if the pedal is not engaged or has no power, so it pretty much is like a patch cable, the True Tone pedals don't have True Bypass so without power the signal will not go through. It is said that TB degrades the signal less when the pedal is off.

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hi Timorthy,
    since it is a modeller asnd can be used in direct mode as well, it might work better with a solid state amp than other pedals... I would most certainly try it... but here are also some nice 1 Watt Amps on the market that will give you that AC/DC sound.... like the Blackheart Killer Ant...

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    yes, you can, but you Need an Audio Interface and it will Sound like the Demo at the end of the video, there you hear the direct signal. You might get better results if you use a speaker simulator in garage band or guitar rig. Guotarbrig doesn't have a built in recorder, so you can just use it as a speaker sim.

    Nice demo! This pedal works great going into my mixer. I haven't sent it to an amp yet, but I'll most likely send it into a flat fender emulation.

    These budget effects manufacturers have really decoded these units. This is a $30(USA) pedal! I bought from Thomann so shipping was another $25 but I'm not losing any sleep over it. I run it on a pedal board with a Moorer Baby Bomb 30. This is an awesome pedal. I also have two of the Joyo British Sound pedals. Same circuit as far as I can tell.
    Several years back I had a Marshall 1987X Plexi that I slammed a DOD 250 into the front end with so it was all juicy EL34 power tube distortion. A "one trick pony" to be sure, but to this day I compare all of these "Marshall In a Box" pedals against that tone.
    I would be willing to bet that a blindfolded "Pepsi/Coke Challenge" would reveal that you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference. This little jewel is that good. Solid build. True bypass. Nice, dead quiet foot switch. Very tweak-able.
    Get one before Harley Benton realizes what they have and doubles their price!

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well, I set the amp as neutral as possible, but you can always hear just the clean sound, so that should be your baseline... if your amp sounds tinny or has too much bass or not enough, your pedals won't sound good. As I said, check the video entitled FIVE AMP COMPARISON, you can clearly see how bad some amps sound with pedals, even though they sound great by themselves...

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    Sadly, the true tone pedals from Joyo are the only ones that don't have true bypass, but you can still chain them together.... True Bypass is more something for purists if you ask me...

    Man, I love your reviews, by far some of the best on You Tube, a Class act man. and always great gear. You show all the sounds achievable with the gear you review, and some humor as well Ty sir!!!

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The amps settings will only matter if you are using the same amp, otherwise you can't recreate that same sound anyway... I have a video showing five amps with three pedals and you can see how different they sound. Reverb is never added with the amp, if there is Reverb on the video it has been added later.

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    British or AC Tone would make the most sense for you... if you ae putting it in front of a tube amp I would even recommend the Deluxe Crunch for that kind of sound...

    Got my third pedal today. So amazing. People are going to think you must be exaggerating until they have tried one themselves. Take it to a gig, take it to the studio, play it at home with headphones - always an amazing amp sim.

  • @potatohead5309
    @potatohead5309 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    I grabbed one on a whim (joyo) and yes, it does AC/DC to a tee. But if you go light on the gain and scoop the tone stack you can come close to a clean HiWatt sound, then throw your rams head bmp in front, appropriate echo etc.. after and get a really decent David Gilmour lead sound. No regrets on this one, unless guilt for not buying the original, but rather a far east copy.

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    I am sure you can get the high gain sounds, the amp just needs to be clean and have a full round sound...

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    nope, it is not true bypass, that was a mistake on my part, all the true tone pedals, all four of them, are not true bypass, but I noticed too late, all the other HB and Joyo pedals however are.

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    it does get quite clean... not sure if it is what you are looking for, also highly depends on your amp sound!

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    AC tone for classic rock... could work.... why not, but the ultimate drive is a great pedal... no question, that will also get you the sound you need... very wide and fat... it give you a power amp distortion sound, which is what those bands had back in the days...

  • @EytschPi42
    @EytschPi42  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    NO, I think you could still use the vintage overdirve, even to boost the British True tone with it...

    I hope you're getting paid or getting some sort of gear deals from Joyo/Harley Benton. I'm pretty sure I need one of these now. Most of the other demos of it I've seen of it are pretty underwhelming.I like that your guitar is in tune, you know how to play, and the amp is very well miked and you know what you're talking about. If I had to make a request, it would be that you do a few more demos using your PRS SE One. A friend of mine and I are both P90 fanatics. NICE job!!!!!

    Hello, recently, in a concert, I saw a guy playing with a small pedal bord (a Wha, 2 overdrives, 1 phaser and a Tape ECHO) and at the end the sound was comming from a MARSHALL JCM 900 and aFender Twin Reverb (in parallel). The sound was awesome. I wonder If I could mimic this set up with the british and the american true tone from JOYO/BENTON. I already have the American True Tone and I love it...

    Hi, I was playing with the British Sound straight into my Fender Blues Junior and was getting great tones, however I am having problems finding it's place in my current pedal board... I tried putting it at the end of the chain, just before the amp, but it does not seem to work properly : it sucks tone and high-end like crazy! Should I treat it like a regular pedal next to my current overdrive(s), rather than using it at the end as if it was an actual amplifier? Thanks for your time!

    • @damienbaits
      @damienbaits 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ed barr I wouldnt recomend the Hot Plexi, has i find the tone muddy and flat, its a ok pedal but is not versatile and doesnt get high enough gain for me, i use it for "mellow" stuff i play for just a little break up..I use a Electro Harmonix Magnum 44 power amp pedal into a 4x12 cab! Love the magnum! but anyways maybe Joyo Deluxe crunch for you instead..good luck

    • @damienbaits
      @damienbaits 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      damienbaits The bummers for me are the US Dream which is to muddy and not enough gain and The Hot Plexi which has no versatility and is flat sounding..Love the others on my list..

    • @razhua
      @razhua 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      damienbaits if you ever get a chance try a tube amp, many pedals like the plexy and the us dream are design to play trough a tube amp I have the us dream and I get amazing lead tones with some delay after it. my rig consist of two bugeras v22 U run them in stereo and use clean channel exclusively get my tones from pedals.I used to have a 200 wat carvin solid state and the pedals dont sound good at all through solid state unless they are simulator pedals. thanks for your reply really appreciate it Ed

    • @damienbaits
      @damienbaits 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ed barr Well, im gonna pass on tube head. For what i do which is stay at home player my power amp pedal is enough for me..my other pedals listed sound great through solid state..If i was in a working band then tube heads would be a must...also consider a good player can make any turd amp sound good..

    Is the Harley Benton branded version the same as the Joyo version? The reason I ask is because when people talk about the Joyo branded version, they only ever talk about direct recording and not about running into an amp.
    I'm currently a bit obsessed by pedals that aim to simulate amps and preamps in general. I've been trying to discover as many as I can. I don't know how this would stack up against some of the more expensive pedals (Wampler, AMT, Sansamp etc) but for price vs quality, the Joyo pedals seem amazing.

    • @EytschPi42
      @EytschPi42  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      These really do Sound Amazing. I am generally not a big fan of direct recording because it just doesn't sound like an amp... some get close, like these Joyo's, but there just is nothing that compares to a tube amp in feel. The clearly sound great In front of an amp as well.

    • @napalmhardcore

      EytschPi42 I'm a big fan of gear that performs above what its price tag suggests. I think a couple of HB/Joyo pedals will be making their way into my shopping cart very soon.
      BTW, I really enjoyed the video :)

      EytschPi42 I've ordered the American sound and the AC-Tone. Do you know what amperage the power supply needs to be? I might have something suitable at home but cannot find any info on the net.
      I'll be interested to see how these play with my Zoom pedals (G5 and G2.1U). I've also recently bought my first tube amp, so it will be exciting to give these a try.
      BTW, I subbed :)

    One more question: Could I add some analog pedals before this Joyo before it send all to the mixer? I mean, to use it as an amplifier. E.g. Guitar -> Overdrive/Distortion -> Chorus -> Delay -> Joyo British Sound -> Mixer.

      I think you can do that, but it won't behave like a tube amp!

      The only thing I need for now is to be able to perform without an amp. This is a very good priced and useful pedal so I want it cuz this emulates an amp is not one. Also I do not want to spend money in multi-effects as Boss ME 80 or Digitech (Money which I do not have for now) However if you advise me to buy a multi-effects better than this amp emulation pedal. I'd do so. I'm bit confused now. I hope you can help me.

      Camilo Serrano I would say you should try it... Multi Effects also don't behave like Tubes and don't really like other pedals... the Joyo is not expensive, so get it and see if you like it.

    Hallo und guten Tag
    Ich bin der Jürgen aus München und eure Musik von Shadows Mignon ist echt stark .
    Habe mir eine CD gekauft und dort fehlt leider der Song with Shadow
    Da ich auch mit der Gitarre auf der Spur bin, würden mich die Tabs des Songs interessieren.
    Besteht da eine Möglichkeit diese zu bekommen ?
    Vorab erstmal herzlichen Dank
    Mit freundlichen Grüßen
    Jürgen Neudeck

    Can I use either this pedal or Californa Sound, AC Tone, or even Boss FBM-1 Direct to mixer? (For a while) It's just I do not have an amplifier yet. Thank you!

      Don't know about the BOSS, but you can use those Joyos direct into a Mixer... check out the new IRONMAN Amp Simulators (all five are on my channel), you can also use those DIRECT !!!
