Hey I updated my XIM Apex through a MAC using the link in your description. The update is 5.00.20181109. I confirmed it updated the XIM through the updater but when I go on my manager on IOS, it does not show boost or the other new features. Can someone please help me? PROBLEM SOLVED BELOW!
UPDATED: I did some searching and I was unaware of a beta app that can be downloaded through TestFlight for ios which is basically the beta version of apps that developers can let people use. It’s different from the App Store. So, for anyone wondering you update XIM Apex through the firmware then go to XIM.tech/beta, click the corresponding link that has the most recent date, download the “XIM Apex Manager” for android or iOS. This basically makes both the app and the device compatible with the new update. I’m glad I found this because I see that I wasn’t the only one struggling!!

In my oppinion Destiny 2 is one of the best games for these features has it has a super strong aim assist. Yes ill do a new Destiny 2 tutorial video, however ill first have to finish the steady aim tutorial and the BF5 one! :)

Guys there is a no recoil on R6 or any game it’s the steady aim you have to update your XIM to the latest beta and xim manager and you will have an option of steady aim put it up to 1 and you just pull super little on mouse and it will stay straight. If you guys want a tutorial tell me if you want to know how to get the beta and the beta manager on iOS tell me as well and help me out with a sub!Thanks!

Hey, you already tried the current destiny 2 sparrow tutorial, right? If you still cannot control the sparrow really well then i highly suggest you to add some boost. Start with a value of 500 and increase it in steps of 500 until it feels good. That is the one big change id add to the current sparrow config video :).
@@rhino11us A curve represents mouse acceleration, while boost does "boost" your mouse movements in the beginning. For boost see this tutorial video, its not that easy to describe which is why there are a few examples in the video.

Thanks so much for these videos. The technical explanation on what these features are intended to do makes it really easy to know where to start making adjustments based on what you are experiencing in the game. It really helps to know the min/max values and suggested interval increases. I sometimes find myself in a private match increasing values by 2 or 3 and thinking "I don't notice any difference". That makes sense when you understand that the maximum value is 30,000. I look forward to a video on the Steady Aim feature in the newest firmware.
Great to hear that the video is helpfull! :) And yes thats one of the main reasons for this video, to give other ximmers an idea of what values they should consider to use and how those will influence the gameplay. With steady aim it will be a weird situation though, its range goes from 0 to 100 but a realistical range is more like 0-10 as any value above that is pretty much unusable.
So will this help when I’m playing black ops 4 blackout mode and want to drive and steer a vehicle type stuff? Cause it’s so slooooooooow turning and when jumping out of the plane. Once on the ground everything is ok, unless you try to drive.

If you want better aim assist then yeah, ive played with 200 for a few games too and its crazy. Also you can fix the inventory thing by using an auxiliary config (sub config) within your fortnite config that switches your WASD buttons to the dpad when you are in the inventory mode. That way your item selection will not randomly jump into a different line when using a value of above 125 :).

Hey, thats not possible as the aim assist algorithm is written and optimized for analogsticks, which are quite different to a mouse input. You will always have much less aim assist with a mouse on consoles than with an analogstick. However there are a few settings that you can use to get more aim assist, but still it will not be as strong as with a controller. Hey All-father, ive seen antithesis post on the forums a few times that SAB shouldnt be used in BO4 and that got me thinking, it would be cool if you do a video showing how the new features could be used in the most popular games like fortnite, B04, etc and just do each game for like 3-5 minutes with examples of before and after using SAB and boost.
Ill do new config tutorials for those videos that cover the new features too, in BO4 you should only use low SAB values as the game is quite picky with its analog inputs, the sprint can randomly stop and your weapon occasionally shoot when going into/out of ads.

This is amazing!! I’ve been watching a lot of Destiny 2 pvp on PC and even though their sensitivity, dpi isn’t so high, they can still turn incredibly fast. So fast even able to shoot wardcliff coil (a rocket that spreads into many tiny shots that track) turn around while it’s spreading for enough time to kill someone behind and in front of them! I’ve tried so hard to mimic this on console with no luck. I’m so happy they’ve added this I’ve been have a difficult time trying to keep up with people jumping around me or around corners because the turning is so heavy and slow.
Destiny 2 has one of the slowest maximum turnspeeds of all console game, sadly this limits the gameplay quite a bit. As you said those super fast flicks like on PC cannot be done in the console version. Bungie really needs to increase the maximum turnspeed for this game!
Boost doesnt add mouse acceleration, you will still have a 1:1 mouse translation as on pc. The only thing that changes is the instant boost right at the start of your mouse movements and the slightly increased sensitivity. For mouse acceleration you can use the ballistic curve.
No boost and steady aim will actually increase the stutter. If you experience mouse stutter on slow mouse movements then please try the steps shown in this tutorial: th-cam.com/video/By30t_YcTiQ/w-d-xo.html
He can turn off LEDs on his devices to reduce the powerdraw, or make sure to fully charge the controller. Alternatively adding a power supply to the XIM Hub can also fix the issue.
The best boost is to use the new Updated ST and ingame mechanic, it gives very responsive mouse movements! My new RB6 config update next week will cover that.

Are you sure it inflates the deadzone? Surely it does the opposite. If you inflate the deadzone you create an area of movement where nothing registers.
Hey, it depends on the point of view. From your perspective yes it should say the opposite. i refer to the input that the xim sends. Think about a two controller mode, one is the receiver (console) and one the transmitter(controller/inputs). Depening on which of the two you use as a basis you have to rephrase the word. We both mean the same, maybe i should have made that clearer in the video as the way i say it in the video can make it sounds like i refer to the console :).

Boost hardly increases the sensitivity but will add a noticeable "bump/jump" to your mouse movements whenever you start to move the mouse. Increasing the sensitivity on the other hand will just make your mouse movements faster without adding that "bump/jump".
i wish in future you make a tutorial how we can make a macros in mouse and keyboeard in Xim apex .. For excemple in gta v and Red dead 2 if you want to change weapon you need to open the rolet weapon then choose weapon ..with macros wee can recorde all that action in one button for sniper for excemple and other button for other weapon ...
Hey, for RB6 i dont recommend to use those three new features, the reason is that RB6 doesnt have aim assist. You want the maximum accuracy that you can get and those three features basically reduce your accuracy for a better aim assist behavior. Therefore its best to not use these for RB6. Your phone most likely auto-updated your xim manager with the version from the app store. This is actually a downgrade but no upgrade, the manager from the store doesnt have the boost feature. So manually install the beta manager again and turn of automatic update for the xim manager in your app settings.
Yes there will be a Black Friday sale in the xim store for around a week. I dont know though if ADZ, the UK xim reseller is doing a Black Friday sale too (would need to check back with them).
Yes its great to break into the aim assist bubble with boost. In a few hours the Steady Aim Tutorial video will be uploaded, that feature is even better in BO4.
Rainbow Six Siege has no aim assist so those 3 new settings are not really needed, its actually better to not use them. I stream my games to my laptop for xbox one. I tried to use my xim apex with my laptop to use K&M but didn't now work. I still have to use my xbox controller. Any chance there's a fix for this? Ty
You may want to look into Xim Link. for the most part, your apex should be plugged into your console. With Xim Link you can use KB/M off your laptop. Look into it and check it out
You want to play PC games with the xim right? If so connect the xim the same way to the laptop as to the console. Some games require the following setup procedure, connect the controller directly to the pc and verify that the controller works in the game or game menu. After that disconnect it and reconnect it with the xim, if necessary press the xbl/psn button on the controller again. Also not every pc game works with the xim, it might be best to open a topic in the xim forum about your specific game to get feedback from other xim users on if it works and what the setup precedure is.

I've been using ballistic curve for mouse sensitivity. What's the difference?
A ballistic curve means mouse acceleration while the sensitivity option gives you a linear 1:1 PC aiming.

Why not just turn aim assist off in the game. Why would you need aim assist with mouse and keyboard anyway?
Because most games dont have an option to turn off aim assist and with these tricks you can almost fully remove the aim assist.

Hey, thats not possible as the aim assist algorithm is written and optimized for analogsticks, which are quite different to a mouse input. You will always have much less aim assist with a mouse on consoles than with an analogstick. However there are a few settings that you can use to get more aim assist, but still it will not be as strong as with a controller. Hey All-father, ive seen antithesis post on the forums a few times that SAB shouldnt be used in BO4 and that got me thinking, it would be cool if you do a video showing how the new features could be used in the most popular games like fortnite, B04, etc and just do each game for like 3-5 minutes with examples of before and after using SAB and boost.

Ill do new config tutorials for those videos that cover the new features too, in BO4 you should only use low SAB values as the game is quite picky with its analog inputs, the sprint can randomly stop and your weapon occasionally shoot when going into/out of ads.
a configuration of xim apex for infantry in battlefield 5 is strongly requested ... not a profile in xim apex for bf V I hope you see this comment since the users of apen in ps4 are scratched

This is amazing!! I’ve been watching a lot of Destiny 2 pvp on PC and even though their sensitivity, dpi isn’t so high, they can still turn incredibly fast. So fast even able to shoot wardcliff coil (a rocket that spreads into many tiny shots that track) turn around while it’s spreading for enough time to kill someone behind and in front of them! I’ve tried so hard to mimic this on console with no luck. I’m so happy they’ve added this I’ve been have a difficult time trying to keep up with people jumping around me or around corners because the turning is so heavy and slow.
Destiny 2 has one of the slowest maximum turnspeeds of all console game, sadly this limits the gameplay quite a bit. As you said those super fast flicks like on PC cannot be done in the console version. Bungie really needs to increase the maximum turnspeed for this game!
So basically boost decreases mouse acceleration
Boost doesnt add mouse acceleration, you will still have a 1:1 mouse translation as on pc. The only thing that changes is the instant boost right at the start of your mouse movements and the slightly increased sensitivity. For mouse acceleration you can use the ballistic curve.
XIMGameplay so it remains constant, that’s what I’m getting out of it.

My friend xim is saying to much power how do u fix that??
He can turn off LEDs on his devices to reduce the powerdraw, or make sure to fully charge the controller. Alternatively adding a power supply to the XIM Hub can also fix the issue.

The best boost is to use the new Updated ST and ingame mechanic, it gives very responsive mouse movements! My new RB6 config update next week will cover that.

Are you sure it inflates the deadzone? Surely it does the opposite. If you inflate the deadzone you create an area of movement where nothing registers.
Hey, it depends on the point of view. From your perspective yes it should say the opposite. i refer to the input that the xim sends. Think about a two controller mode, one is the receiver (console) and one the transmitter(controller/inputs). Depening on which of the two you use as a basis you have to rephrase the word. We both mean the same, maybe i should have made that clearer in the video as the way i say it in the video can make it sounds like i refer to the console :).

What does the boost feature do in short terms? And is it good for games like Call of Duty?
It "boosts" your mouse movements whenever you make a direction change. Its good to reduce the aim assist or make the crosshair feel more responsive.
Sorry for the noob question... wuts the difference between adding boost and just increasing your sensitivity?
Boost hardly increases the sensitivity but will add a noticeable "bump/jump" to your mouse movements whenever you start to move the mouse. Increasing the sensitivity on the other hand will just make your mouse movements faster without adding that "bump/jump".

i wish in future you make a tutorial how we can make a macros in mouse and keyboeard in Xim apex .. For excemple in gta v and Red dead 2 if you want to change weapon you need to open the rolet weapon then choose weapon ..with macros wee can recorde all that action in one button for sniper for excemple and other button for other weapon ...
The XIM Apex itself doesnt support macros but you can use XIM Link for that, or a Titan Two with the XIM Apex.

Absolutly! If you dont have any problems then always use no boost to not reduce the quality of your mouse movements.

Hey, for RB6 i dont recommend to use those three new features, the reason is that RB6 doesnt have aim assist. You want the maximum accuracy that you can get and those three features basically reduce your accuracy for a better aim assist behavior. Therefore its best to not use these for RB6. Your phone most likely auto-updated your xim manager with the version from the app store. This is actually a downgrade but no upgrade, the manager from the store doesnt have the boost feature. So manually install the beta manager again and turn of automatic update for the xim manager in your app settings.

Rainbow Six Siege has no aim assist so those 3 new settings are not really needed, its actually better to not use them. Wireless headsets usually work without any problem if they are connected directly to the console (and not to the controller).

I stream my games to my laptop for xbox one. I tried to use my xim apex with my laptop to use K&M but didn't now work. I still have to use my xbox controller. Any chance there's a fix for this? Ty
You may want to look into Xim Link.
for the most part, your apex should be plugged into your console.
With Xim Link you can use KB/M off your laptop.

You want to play PC games with the xim right? If so connect the xim the same way to the laptop as to the console. Some games require the following setup procedure, connect the controller directly to the pc and verify that the controller works in the game or game menu. After that disconnect it and reconnect it with the xim, if necessary press the xbl/psn button on the controller again. Also not every pc game works with the xim, it might be best to open a topic in the xim forum about your specific game to get feedback from other xim users on if it works and what the setup precedure is.
