The Best Meat Pie I Ever Made Vlogmas Day 18

- I’ve made a lot of meat pies in myifetime…and received a lot of compliments for them, but this past week I made this and everyone who got to taste it think it is the very best. I hope you enjoy it too💕🙏🏾
Ingredients for filling:
1.2lb beef chopped in tiny pieces (I used beef flap meat)
1 cup diced potatoes
1.4 cups diced onion
1 cup diced carrot
1 stock cube
1 teaspoon salt
1.4 teaspoon garlic ginger paste
1 teaspoon white pepper
4 teaspoons vegetable oil
1.5 teaspoons corn starch
Ingredients for crust
500 grams all purpose flour (approximately 3 1/4 cups)
227 grams salted butter
3/4 cups milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt.
1.5 teaspoon grated onion

Ok so In the past four years I’ve tried plenty meat pie recipes. None of them were worth repeating. Let me tell you this is the BEST one I’ve made thus far!! It’s going into rotation fr. I also used ground lamb instead of beef & omg amazing recipe! For reference I’m East African and dating a West African. So you know I have to learn to make his native food/meals. My man is loving these pies rn and so am I!!!!

I noticed you didn't add egg while mixing the dough. I do when I bake mine and it comes out crunchy as well. But am definitely trying this method out. Most especially with beef, have always used chicken or minced meat.
I prefer adding egg to the dough, looks more presentable and prevents it from breaking.
