Now in my mid 50's and after all the abuse my body went thru falling out of airplanes and getting shot at, my old days of rambling around on BMX and mountain bikes was behind me. Spent a couple years going back and forth about e-bikes, and finally settled on an Aventon Aventure 2 a few weeks ago. Arrived 5 days after I ordered it, took about 30 minutes to assemble, and MAN is it a blast. Looks and rides a bit like a Harley Fatboy, and after a recent rainstorm the other day I can say it handles mudbogging like a champ. Living in Colorado, I'm waiting for winter to give her a taste of snow, dropping the tire pressure a bit and it should do just fine. As a fellow "noob" to e-bikes, my only regret is that I took so much time to actually GET one. Happy riding brother!

I came to look, see if you had done a 2nd travel flog, lol...And what i got was a e-bike instead, seen alot of them on TH-cam, in various power modes, some good and alot bad, as i was a bicycle mechanic for 20 yrs, lol...Have Fun Mr Fish, least you might get abit fitter, lol 🙂
Like yourself started cycling again after decades on motorcycles. Too tight to spend lots on ready made ebike. Converted old full suspension mtb and was so impressed converted old raleigh maverick aswel as its got mudguards for winter riding. Both done by myself for about £700 total. Hardly ever ride my motorcycles now. Both bikes got same kit so spare battery if needed.
I've been looking for an exercise/ leisure ebike for a while and couldn't decide. You've convinced me with this one MrFish and I've pulled the trigger on one. £100 off with the code 12:51 and free shipping. If you can let us know how to derestrict it please, for offroad use of course, it would be most appreciated. Cheers 👍
th-cam.com/video/iZetYzhUuy4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=2KOUIcoD0z_g53jf I used this link .. it was slightly different mine kept scrolling through the settings whilst holding the buttons .. I did this a few times , thought perhaps it doesn’t work on mine turned it back on .. it said error code 5 .. then an hour later it was all good .. so all I can do is give you the link …
Mr. Fish. Is there a good Caster angle on the bike, can you let it roll without hands and it keeps itself up. or do the handlebars roll without your hands? Note:The purpose of this is to provide a degree of self-centering for the steering-the wheel casters around in order to trail behind the axis of steering. This makes a vehicle easier to control and improves its directional stability (reducing its tendency to wander).
you should try coming down to bedgebury forest has a nice red mtb loop for emtbs. it also has quench cycles on site which hire them out. i would offer to show you round but I'm rather slow rider
It's my guess that your e-bike reviewing days may well be limited to this bike. Like you I am a casual cyclist, and lifelong motorcyclist, and I have an E-Movement folding e-bike that I've been looking to upgrade for some time, and I've watched several channels to find a good replacement including ModProjects4306 and notably e-VRC, and it seems that the Engwe Engine Pro 2.0 (two point oh - it rhymes) is the gold standard amongst e-bikes. I think you'll struggle to better this one. I'm on the edge of biting the bullet and ordering one (in green), but I'm also considering downsizing my 2016 Honda VRF1200x Crosstourer DLC, and I've been looking at either an Aprilia Tuareg 660 (expensive) or a CRF300 (less expensive). 1st world decisions I know! 😕
It’s alright by all these cheap imports from China. How do you replace a tire brake cables pads? I don’t think there are widely available at Halfords somehow.
Good point , I don’t know what the back up is like .. only time will tell , but tyres and tubes are available on Amazon (I just looked) cables are cables the same the world over ..
I bought this bike and 2nd WhippyWhip that the front fork is terribly cheap. Does anyone have recommendations on replacing the fork with something decent?
I've got a PVY e bike which is pretty much the exact same as the Engwe, great fun but in hindsight not a fan of the long steering stem and narrow-ish handlebars, makes it a bit twitchy to control.

Yeah I’ve been sceptical for years , took and Injury to look at them , glad I did .. not so much about the injury… glad you’re enjoying it
Looks like a hoot! Talked to some seniors on them this spring and they really liked theirs. On my radar.

Perfect for a ride in the countryside, without disturbing the Peace.....
I sing to do that 😂
I've had an ebike for 4 years now love it,got because of an bad knee, plus no traffic
They are great , im being converted
A very well made E-Bike. even that little piece of metal by your toes to protect them from anything sticking out of the road.
I don’t know which bit you are referring to 😂 it is the bit under the crank that’s to rest on when folded to save the front sprocket ..

I’m working on the next vid from the trip , proving to be a bit longer than expected.. I don’t know about the fitter bit though lol
Good review Mr Fish. Nice to see an E-Bike on your channel. I bought my first E-Bike a few months ago love it.
They are fun
Excellent video Mr Fish, looking forward to more.
Thanks 👍
E bikes are great. However you are lucky with the views, my e-bike vid has flopped. Haha. Excellent vid.
Never know how different things are going to come across so very lucky 😂

Old Auto mechanic with experience with bad build bikes, Bicycles only.
Not as stable as a big wheeled bike for sure , I didn’t ride no hands

I’m a slow rider too mate lol
Nice one mukka
Was looking out for the cat ears hahaha

The 660 is awsome as is the 300 😜 I don’t just want speed I want to test all types of bike
Cheers for the discount code . Purchase made
Nice one I hope you enjoy it

Could do with an end can, sounds a bit gutless tbh. 😉
I’ll make the sound myself
@@Mrfish2015 😆 Do it! Just don’t go with two stroke, they’d lock you up.
lol probably fail the emissions
Change it in the setting and it will do 30+ mph
Different.....🤔
Great review, even for someone who has absolutely no interest in E-bikes!
Still enjoyed it though!
Top job.
😂 thanks
They shouldda called it Stealth E 😬
The dodgy music though
I made that ..
😬 like a 70s lounge sounds
I didn’t make it 😜 but I’ve never been in a 70s lounge apart from when I was 0-9 years old 😂
@@Mrfish2015 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stick with motorcycles please
Ha ha , don’t panic it’s only a playlist , the motorcycle stuff is no 1 ..
Good video. Pile of crap bike don't buy the metal snaps on any part of the bike
Lol
i had an engwe engine x, they are average, the forks are atrociously cheap and awful on these bikes, chinese crap
Most stuff people buy are made in china for some reason
I suspect people not willing to pay 3x more for the same things made in your own country
I have nothing to compare it with at the moment , all working well and better than I thought it would be .. only time will tell
I bought this bike and 2nd WhippyWhip that the front fork is terribly cheap. Does anyone have recommendations on replacing the fork with something decent?
How much kilometters you can ride on electric mode?
Same. The overall build is shocking always buy British or branded if your after an ebike

Yeah a wider bar would be better, they do a bmx style maybe they’re better I’ll see if I can get some
