    The great thing about your videos, Craig is you get quality and quantity in your images. I was a real saddo and counted 63 images in this video alone when with some TH-camrs you are lucky if you get more than two!

    Cityscapes, portraits, street photography and your landscapes aren't bad either. Is there nothing you can't do?
    You have encouraged me to make more use of my GX7 - if only I could sit down and edit my 'Masterpieces' more frequently 😂

    Hi there. Recently I have been getting into landscape photography, and thus watching quite the number of you-tube videos. You are a great all around photographer, and I appreciate that you just keep shooting when it is not the best of weather, and hopefully I am picking up a number of good tips. So thanks a bunch for your excellent videos. Your witty, somewhat dry sense of humour is good too. love the fake drone clip. Ha. You number 3 on my list to watch. Simon Baxter first.... then Thomas Heaton, and well, YOU. That is not meant as an insult. Two thumbs up.

    Wish I had seen this before I went off around a nearby town last night! Mainly shooting landscapes but see cityscapes as the next move but found it all a bit overwhelming as what to shoot. Picking a theme seems a really good approach so can see the gothic from the doric so to speak. Great video, thanks. PS like the curves you found on the way down the underground ;-)

    I know this vlog is 9 months old, but I just now watched it. I really appreciate the way you find interesting compositions in the most mundane environments. I don't get to Canary Wharf often, but will make a point of it again soon. I do know that it can be a ghost town on Sundays which allows for a bit more freedom for a wandering photographer (freedom from security guards at least).
    As I watched you walk up and down the stairs at the National Theater, it occurred to me that you show a great deal of faith in the general public by leaving your video camera unattended! I would not have been so trusting.

    Thanks Craig. I always enjoy your "theme" videos and have tried to apply the strategy when planning my adventures. Fascinated to see how far you walk away from your camera when capturing videos - I''d be afraid of it getting swiped. Also, I noted the mix between color and b/w in this video - what criteria do you use to determine one way or the other? Appreciate the valuable content as always.

    • @e6Vlogs
      @e6Vlogs  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some results just naturally suit a black and white conversion. They may lack any prominent colour, be more about shape and form where colour isn't a key element, or just be where colour is a distraction, rather than adding to the impact of the shot.

    One of your best yet IMHO! I'm inspired by the way you go out with a clear intent and really work an area or subject. I'm sure this is a big part in the success of your images, and something I can learn from, especially in an urban environment when the choice of what to shoot can be overwhelming. Quick question; when shooting your vlogs, do you have an assistant, or do the whole thing yourself?

    Love your video! Love your photographs! Love the theme! But any chance of changing the music? By the way, I think you missed a wonderful "curves" opportunity with the young lady who got on the escalator just before you!

    • @e6Vlogs
      @e6Vlogs  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I take my music choice very seriously and change it to suit the location and context of the video. Unfortuately, music is subjective and I'm never going to please everyone with my choice. I don't know what music you like, but if I changed it to suit you, someone else might complain. I don't like the music some other TH-camrs use, but I respect their choice that they felt it was right for their video. I'm into heavy metal, so be grateful I don't use some of this as the background music!

    • @mje1625
      @mje1625 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Easy, easy, easy! Lighten up! Just havin' some fun. As I said earlier, love your videos and your photographs. Thanks for making them. You've definitely inspired me to approach my own work with a new, fresh perspective.

      MJE Don't worry, i wasn't typing my reply to you through gritted teeth! Just addressing the several, re-occurring music choice complaints through your comment. Maybe i should be grateful that's the only thing people complain about!

      I enjoy the music (not by itself), but It flows with the editing in a peaceful, non-boring, unique way.

    Keep meaning to ask, Craig, do you have to ask permission to shoot video or stills at train stations or the London underground?

    • @e6Vlogs
      @e6Vlogs  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kenny. Officially, I would say yes. But I never have and if you are just discreet and don't get in anyone's way, then you should have not problem. There were police and security watching me (or just walking by!) at Canary Wharf and neither seemed to mind I was taking pictures.

    Now that's what I call inspirational, I need to do some projects like this. You got some great images, and with your usual gentle humour included it makes this video brilliant in its simplicity. Simple doesn't mean easy, and it's more than obvious the amount of shear hard work you put in to both making the video and finding the images. I also think it was very gallant of you not to show the lady in the bathroom.
