In this series of upcoming Videos I have tried to show what a FULL Graspop Festival experience is like (in 32°c heat) from Start to finish. I'll be posting 1 video every other day at 7PM until we are out of footage & these will be "Premieres" so we'll have a Livechat along the way if thats your thing & yes it's really me typing! ha!

Well that was one of the best weekends I've ever had!
In terms of a "Perfect Festival" it's an 11/10!
I tried all weekend to find at least one fault and it was borderline impossible! A true credit to Belgium 🇧🇪🖤
So to start, we left Download (and you'll see the absolute state we were all in in a few videos time 😂) & we had literally 12 hours to do all our washing, get Bartek back to our place in Folkestone and get on the Ferry to France to drive to Belgium. I had never driven a right hand drive car on the "right side of the road" either. But yeah we somehow pulled it off. (Cheers to Ruby Dad for letting me borrow one of his cars because of the Hearse fail)
For comparison, We got on the Ferry, drove through France & into Belgium, parked up at Graspop and had 2 beers in QUICKER time than it took to leave the carpark at Download!
I really had concerns about not speaking the language but this is the weirdest thing in every direction theres another conversation with another language! So at all times you'll be hearing syllables and pieces of words from 5+ cultures and yet everyone knows perfect English and makes the effort with us. - it made me feel insanely uncultured and thick knowing 1. But it didn't hinder us at all.
Band/crowd wise, you REALLY notice a difference between foreign gigs and London gigs!!! It's ridiculous! People have manners and ask to get by with pleases & thank yous thrown around all the time. & The crowd is less Vocal/rowdy. But they just seem more respectful to the music.
Band Highlights
Pantera!!!! FINALLY!!! - It's a tribute, treat it as a tribute! But they did everything right. It was cool to see what it could have been & the Solos were done as a tribute not a like for like carbon copy, it's exactly what I wanted to see. (& Yeah I choked up) 🖤 - (People at DL were asking for the Southern flags to be taken down & arguing about it etc, but musically it was perfect).
Avatar - VIP!!! It'll be on yhe Vlog as to how I got our group there! 🤣
Deathstars - it's been forever, I love them but they Keep cancelling tours & gigs in London so was about 10years or so since the last time.
Watain - I love that show!!! - Cool to see Rubys reaction to a satanic Death Metal band 🤘🏻
Amon Amarth - You'll have to see the Vlog as to why! 😂
Behemoth - We were front row/ pit and they are perfect!!! Good set list too.
Motley Crue - John 5 has totally changed this band!!! It was a cool new direction & the best I've seen them for ages!
Obviously Guns n Roses!!!! 3 hours of classics! 🖤
Machine Head - Always
Skindred...I absolutely love them
Not Bad...but kinda disappointed
Slipknot! NO CLOWN 😔 I get the reasons why, but man you miss his stage presence/performance as a hype guy as well. - that said we saw them like days before & it was still cool & a permanent favourite!
Motionless in White - purely a visual thing but I miss Chris old stage gear 😆 the rest of the band still tart up but the hoodie just feels kinda flat.
I know I'm REALLY clutching for those negatives too!! 😅 But it's nearly impossible! There's so much good & that thats the Best/Worst I could come up with.
But yeah doing this roadtrip with my Best mate & Girlfriend (+ meeting the others) was one of the best experiences I've ever had personaly but absolutely Exhausting!!! I know that you know we go hard, but 14 days in tents, with 30°c heat + the rest is tough! - to the point I'm only just coming too now 😂
So yeah, this Festival🇧🇪...
EVERYTHING is Fucking Perfect! The people, the Organisation, the polite multilingual Staff, the food & drink prices, how clean & respectful it was, the town/area it's in & obviously the line up! I literally can't put that all in to words....
All I can say is DO IT!

I remember seeing some videos of yours from download some years ago, and now by chance i found your channel again. I usually go to Copenhell and Wacken, but have been looking at grasspop for a while now. I'm really enjoying these videos, which gives me a pretty good impression what Grasspop is about. Love the videos dude, you got a new subscriber. Me and my friend might have to check out Grasspop in the future. Gonna check more of your content, as I always love watching the festival experience from other people

I Love that car!!! But its a constant source of Stress!!! Ha Every month or so there's another £500+ bill that wouldn't be covered under warranty for some reason... UGH!!!
- I have more Car content planned (& some already Filmed!) but because of the festivals & gigs will be put up later.
I wouldn't mind checking out an EDM festival with the guys ya know! Although We'd probably take a few weeks to get back to earth afterwards!!! 😂

Graspop looks awesome. I like the way the food vendors are all lined. Looks so clean and organised. I feel mentally scarred from 'Know anywhere, I can get some decent Fish & Chips' 😂. My first bloodstock is coming. Please tell me there are no annoying adverts. It looks like they put a lot of effort into the tents, marquees etc. Keep up the good work 👍
Has to be a compensation claim in there somehow!!! 😂 I can't recall any annoying adds at Bloodstock but we're all usually so Shit faced I probably wouldn't remember regardless haha!!!

Looks way better than Download. Not sure about the contactless skullies and half pints but otherwise great so far.
That was an issue yeah! BUT there was other bars you could get proper Man size drinks just not many of them?...
The wristband thing caught me out a few times when I'd spent .5 Skullies over whatever I needed so had to top up in the queue or rely on the beer/food vendor to be generous, rather than just pay with card.
And because I'm lazy I usually pay the guys to go to the bar, & with this system I literally couldn't!!!
It did work here, but there's signal all over the site... It'd never work at Download!

The security actually did manage to move all those people!!! I was shocked!
@@billymayhem Good thing! I know at some festivals if you camp in the 'road' you get kicked out. Must always be kept clear for emergency vehicles.
I've seen it happen too!
At Download, they had booked too many people in certain campsites and they were told they had NO CHOICE but to camp in the path by staff!
So in terms of safety, they literally breached it themselves, by choice!
You buy any merch? Like how clean & green abroad is. I hate litter on the floor like my animals & wildlife 😊

Ngl, the whitby fish and chips stall was probably the best quality food I'd seen ever at download. Never once had chippy chips from a stall there. Not even the windmill chippy sold anything other than steak cut chips. I bet there's a connection... Ollies from Yorkshire, whitbys in Yorkshire.. Probably helped his uncle Pete with inertia marketing tactics 😂

1 Spot on the way in to the festival from the Carpark - NONE anywhere else!!
The Download Dust killed my lungs man! Coughing for about 2 weeks!

I'd say don't do Download next year and try to get Hellfest tickets for next year. It's bloody awesome, I am just praying I can get a ticket in August or Sept when they go back on sale.
But after watching your Graspop videos, I'd really like to go next year
Hellfest is something I've always wanted to do but like you said it sells out I've never trusted the ticket resale sites.
I took a chance on these through Viagogo and it actually turned out cheaper!! 😂
So tbh, I'd probably do that again! & Take the chance on resale.
@@billymayhem In that case I'll do the same, always up for saving a bit of cash. It looks really good, the difference between UK and European festivals is worlds apart.
My brother has been to the last 10 Hellfests, they used to sell the following years ticket at the festival but stopped that a couple of years ago. Big shame. But a gang of us try to get tickets and have the odd one spare, if it happens I'll give you a shout.

Selling "Earlybird" tickets seems to of replaced that kind of availability.
European festivals definitely look to innovate & the British stuff has got stale & resents change.
Already miss Graspop & it's been forever since I've felt that kind of excitement ya know, it was so good!
@billymayhem I know just how you feel. This Hellfest was the week after Graspop, I miss it big time and booked in for a Hellfest tattoo next week.
British festivals have a lot to learn from the European ones.

We went to Hellfest in 2015. Best festival I've ever been to by a mile. Haven't been able to get tickets ever since. Did Wacken this year, but y'know, record rainfall and shit...not fun.
