And this amazing invention only has one possible company that can turn it into billions and make him a rich man. Independent investors don't exist in Tyler Perry land.
It’d make more sense if the reason they didn’t invest in it is because they all don’t want him making an invention that would put them out of work. Not to say that makes sense, just that it would make MORE sense.

That was pretty much the prelude to the Bad Movie Roast. I'm glad to see them go full on spoilers with this movie. And if I remember correctly I think that was the first time Billy started showing up regularly.
I've seen about 3 Tyler Perry movies. -Diary of a mad black woman(so so/okay, in a goofy way though) -Madea boo (abomination of a movie) -family that preys (pretty decent)
The Only thing I remember was in the original review of this movie where Korey Spoiled the ending and that one guy saying "WHAT!!!!" when Taraji's character refused the 10 million dollars lol.
Tyler Perry is doing a "final" Madea play I think, knowing him she'll pop out thriller style from the grave at the end. It was called 'Madea's Farewell' the play. I prefer his plays to the movies, not as cringey. The Reunion was the best so far "I have 27 personalities and all of them were about to beat the hell out of you" was my favorite line
Why do I feel this would work as like a lifetime movie thriller? Like just make Taraji's character like befriend the guy in college. He doesn't go full relationship because between the lashings of anger like their first encounter he sees her like a sis close friend. But to her that's her future her man, so she'll lash out at anyone behind his back claiming that's hers. Which would lead to something like the trailer bit flipping it, him astounded because he's totally thinking she's known they're friends. Now Taraji swears that girl the devil who ruined her life took everything from her. Taraji being so delusional gives all the money to him so he can build "their future". And overall let it play out except Taraji and him don't really talk it's a weird friendship, and establish he looks at that girl as his biggest what if. So now the thought of him with her fully having everything Taraji thought was her destiny she'll hack and slash go off on anyone to get what's hers. And if she can't have a happy ending no one will.
Taraji P. Henson was on her 1991 Max Cady(Robert De Niro) Cape Fear type of lunacy in “Acrimony.” Taraji was legit SCARY ASF in this movie, she depicted the insanity of a black woman scorned way to well. The way she KiLLED people with just her EYE GAZiNG STARE was terrifying
This is the 3rd Tyler Perry movie where the Dark-Skin brother isn't the most evil person in the film there's "Daddy's little girls" with Idris Elba and Madea goes to Jail cant remember the brother name he play Diddy in the Biggie biopic.

Bitter people don't make sane choices. I don't see what was so atrocious or far-fetched about a person letting thier ego stop a blessing. I see this all the time. You need more life experience. Get out of your circle and learn other people's experience. Then things you are not used to won't seem so fictional because you haven't seen it specifically. Don't discount other people's reality.

A movie so great they reviewed it twice. There's so much to say in this movie, it was one of the best experiences I'd had watching a bad film and I can't decide where to start. The younger actors look nothing like the older actors (to the point I think anyone who was fooled by them is probably racist) but I think my favourite moment is how the film decided to have chapters at 65 minutes to its 90 minute run time.

I hope Tyler Perry continues making serious thrillers, I also hope Tyler Perry never becomes aware of himself. I want to continue to have more laughs like: 37:40
Believe it or not, the way he left off there could still be Acrimony 2. Imagine this: the story opens where we left off the police, coast guard or whomever arrives to help Robert, who is fading away. When they arrive they are informed of Melinda in the ocean. They fish her out and attempt to resuscitate her. The scene fades to white only to open again in a sterile white hospital room. We close in on the hospital bed and the camera slowly travels up Melinda's body and rests on her face. Her eyes snap open. Boom! the plot continues. (Me laughing like Dr. Evil). Y'all are welcome 🤣
There was a whole Barney Miller episode way back in 1980 titled “The Inventor” . Somebody invented a super powered battery that would last for decades. Corporations don’t want such a battery out oh for the public because a battery that would last forever would ruin their business. Nobody would buy regular batteries anymore. So of course this guy is not going to get his battery marketed or sold easily. Companies would totally push back.
@@samanthanickson6478 Werewolf episode is right up there with the Hash episode. There was also an episode about a dentist fondling his female patients while they were under anesthesia. Golden Girls used that same dentist premise for an episode as well. My point about the battery thing is that if a company is going to buy the technology it would be to bury the technology. They wouldn’t invest more money into advancing it.
I remember when me & my brother went to see this in theaters and saw the scene where the battery people told Robert they needed to meet now, me and my brother looked at each other we were laughing and we told each other that would never happened
The biggest villains in this movie was her family. They were on her back to dump him when he had nothing, getting in her head. Then when he's rich and he pays the family back for what he owed, they make her out to be the crazy one (which granted, she has issues) but Taraji's family pissed me off more than anyone else in this movie. That said, this movie is silly af. Perry doesn't write people, he writes cartoon characters.
Maybe Tyler Perry should do a slasher flick, crossed with some light drama. Fifteen minutes of setup, showing how some “put upon” person is pushed past the limit and becomes a “thing.” Then the rest of the flick would just be that person running around, swinging an axe and laughing off all attempts to kill them.

I loved how insane this movie was when I watched it because this is the closest that mainstream US film will get to being a straight up Nigerian/Ghanaian drama. Now those movies are CRAZY. So I felt right at home.
That's a good ending for her because she doesn't have to live in that misery of acrimony forever. It sure is.
Lol this is the Acrimony Roast remix. The shit the other roast left out. 😆
I’ve never seen any of Tyler Perry’s movies or shows, which he writes and/or directs, but I love these DT reviews
Really you're not missing anything..He writes, directs, and produces. But someone out there is enjoying them that's why he is making so much money!
This film is actually Decent, from his Filmography.
I've seen about 3 Tyler Perry movies.
-Diary of a mad black woman(so so/okay, in a goofy way though)
-Madea boo (abomination of a movie)
-family that preys (pretty decent)
This A Fall From Grace and Temptation are probably his worst ones ( imo )
@@dee8171 Why Did I Get Married is a must watch. That’s his best film along with a Family That Preys
The Only thing I remember was in the original review of this movie where Korey Spoiled the ending and that one guy saying "WHAT!!!!" when Taraji's character refused the 10 million dollars lol.
That was Carlos in the background and he was so high on medication that he was acting so loopy. It was so entertaining.
@@rascoehunter3608 I would have had the same reaction 😆😆😆
she refused it?
😆"Acrimony n Cheese!?" Billy is SILLY😆
Once you realize that Taraji’s character is not only mentally I’ll but has latent super powers it’s a whole different movie
Tyler Perry is doing a "final" Madea play I think, knowing him she'll pop out thriller style from the grave at the end. It was called 'Madea's Farewell' the play. I prefer his plays to the movies, not as cringey. The Reunion was the best so far
"I have 27 personalities and all of them were about to beat the hell out of you" was my favorite line
He's got a new movie on Netflix and has turned himself into Beyonce when she performed at coachella lmaooo
@@mariahyohannes What? That sounds crazy. What is the movie called?
@@rascoehunter3608 Madea's homecoming lol
@@rascoehunter3608 th-cam.com/video/3K9V5YBBYrE/w-d-xo.html here's the trailer lol
Taraji P. Henson was on her 1991 Max Cady(Robert De Niro) Cape Fear type of lunacy in “Acrimony.”
Taraji was legit SCARY ASF in this movie, she depicted the insanity of a black woman scorned way to well.
The way she KiLLED people with just her EYE GAZiNG STARE was terrifying
Wtf?
I loved the review Korey and Billy did for this last time. I KNOW I'm gonna love this again. 😆😆😆😆
The first review was hilarious. It was the first time I heard Billy laugh. 🤣
@@reikun86 when Billy laughs, you KNOW this shit bout to be funny as hell
Did they already review this movie?
Oh wait, Martin wasn't in the first review. It's gonna be good.
This is the 3rd Tyler Perry movie where the Dark-Skin brother isn't the most evil person in the film there's "Daddy's little girls" with Idris Elba and Madea goes to Jail cant remember the brother name he play Diddy in the Biggie biopic.
@GionniJPK Thanks.
Don't forget the movie with Billy's brother
1 hour and 10 mins this is going to be JUICY!! This movie is straight F*CK YOU!! I cannot stand these TP black struggle love movie it’s the worst, and this one is the worst offender. I had no sympathy for Taraji P Henson character at ALL! Let me get my popcorn and beer. Thanks DT!
Yeah she should have left him after he cheated on her so the rest of the movie is her fault

I just recently rewatched the first review just for shits and giggles... That was classic review for them to revisit this as a Bad Movie Review I say YIPPEE!!!!. I saw this at this movies at end of movie I yelled WTF and everybody looked at me like I was crazy...

Man! This crazy ass movie is so bad that it’s actually good well not really, but the crazy shit that goes on in this movie is ridiculous I remember me and my wife saw this and I was cracking up laughing at the ridiculousness. Honestly the woman got what the fuck she deserved, Yes the guy Borrowed tons of money from her, but once he got up on his feet and became successful he offered her I believe millions which is way more than what she invested into him & she turned it down for whatever reason. So he found him a woman that actually appreciated him and went on about his business her loss. 🤷🏾♂️ Then she decided to go bat shit crazy Tyler Perry I respect him as a businessman but the writing in this is atrocious.
@@oldknowledge64 well first off this is a safe place where people can give their observation & critiques of a film they saw. You have no clue who I am or what my life is like or the experiences I have acquired, therefore making your false pretenses or assumptions of my life off of of 1 statement I made kind of contradicts the point you were trying to make in the first place. I can fully understand where you were coming from I just think you could’ve done it without trying to put me down …its cool I’m good though 🤷🏾♂️.
Now that that’s out the way I understand what you are trying to say far as when people are bitter or emotional they don’t make the best decisions (understood), but she let her family interfere with her marriage which if you have any person that truly cares about your union they will tell you the first thing is to keep your marriage and business your business simply put don’t let outsiders interfere with what goes on underneath your roof. Did he give her reason to be frustrated with him most definitely but it’s for better or for worse till death do us part and she gave up he didn’t and kept striving at the his dream she basically caught the vapors.
@@kennykenny757__ safe space? Act like it. Youre being overly emotional because I disagreed with you.
Why not just support your argument instead of all the safespace bs you spewed? Like you a defenseless woman being attacked?
You made a public comment. Anyone has the right to respond. I pointed out the flaws in your statement. You have added nothing to prove otherwise. Skip the victim bd.
I believe I was spot on with my assessment by your response. It's reeks of guilt. Peace. I'm out. Since only agreement is allowed. Plus you already backpedaled.
@@kennykenny757__ plus, I wasn't putting you down. I was giving suggestions so that you can learn about life outside your circle.
It's sad your ego is so fragile and your pride like steel. You clearly didn't get the point. But can someone like you apologize and acknowledge it? Of course not. Prove me wrong.
@@oldknowledge64 agree to disagree 😂
I’m not upset at all that’s just my opinion on a movie that honestly doesn’t deserve this much in-depth back & forth but you have a great day or not…either way peace ☮️ & for the record I’m a husband not a bd 😂😂 relax. I’m down to debate or discuss movies 🍿 all day. We’re both here because we obviously enjoy movies & DT style of commentary. Take care
The girl how played young Taraji played another version of her in empire as young cookie lyon as well and she also played Kato in BMF
So, I just found out the guy from A Fall from Grace is Billy's brother, and now I want you guys to do a bad movie review of it with him.
1:00 perfect opportunity for a Madea Cinematic Universe joke 😂
The original MCU.
An hour and 10 minutes of roasting a Tyler Perry movie, we do not deserve this gift, but thank yall.
This movie was made for black women to yell hmmm o hell nah o no he didn’t mmm girl no way in hell would I do that lol. I have to admit I thought the first half was Tyler Perry’s best stuff but it goes full Tyler Perry’s the last act .
Huh chi ihi) hi hi h ig h h hhi. I u ohI
Billy: How'd he get another phone?
Martin: Man come on, you know better than to ask that.
A hour long video for acrimony? That means something when you have a hour long Tyler Perry film review

This movie was pretty much Cookie Lyon really turning to the dark side that I couldn't help but find it hilarious 😭😂

Don't hate on her for making her coin and gettin that bag.
I can't remember the last time Tyler Perry actually had a good movie.
Never
That new medea movie was funny
Temptation wasn't bad
It was Robert’s fault for cheating and Melinda’s fault for staying.
A tiny cash register sound goes off in TP's ear for every "OH NO HE DIDN'T!" followed by a cobra like neck movement
"A cobra like neck movement" is the most succinct way I have ever heard that described in my life I'm dead 😹

Once he made money he tried to get her back. Her sisters messed that up because they didn't like him. He wasn't the best person but he tried to make it right but she said no. Gave her 10 million and bought her momma house back
Black Tony Stark A.K.A. Ghostface Killah
I would have never seen this movie if it wasn’t for you guy’s original review. It’s become one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. It’s just a batshit insane movie lol.

I hope Tyler Perry continues making serious thrillers, I also hope Tyler Perry never becomes aware of himself. I want to continue to have more laughs like:

Yea i like Acrimony and cheese 2
😂😂😂
I never thought they would review this film again, lol but I Love it
Young Robert looks like the late lee Thompson young 😂
Macy's vs. Walmart

"His best comedies are his dramas." Oh man....this is going to be sweet. 😆
The extended/cursing version just hit Tubi and it makes more sense but she's still crazy as hell. 🤣🤣😂😂
Bruh I died laughing when he walked in the hospital
There was a whole Barney Miller episode way back in 1980 titled “The Inventor” . Somebody invented a super powered battery that would last for decades. Corporations don’t want such a battery out oh for the public because a battery that would last forever would ruin their business. Nobody would buy regular batteries anymore. So of course this guy is not going to get his battery marketed or sold easily. Companies would totally push back.
I’m remembering that werewolf episode right now. straight 🔥
Yes but he was sorry throughout their marriage
The money alone was not what she wanted, she wanted the dream she had always dreamt of.
The dream she gave up.
Had to rewatch the original review to prepare for this. Tyler Perry is the gift that keeps on giving!
Not the set of sanford and son 🤣🤣🤣
70 minutes of toasty goodness. I need some popcorn
My fam dragged me to this movie when it first came out and after I watched this monstrosity, I wanted to go to my movie theater parking lot and scream my head off
I'm glad you survived
A Scandalous fatal attraction like theme. Malinda becomes aggressively angered by her husbands betrayal. Perry keeps you interested and on your toes...

36:20 Never thought I'd hear Martin say that and I love it lmao
1:03:18 She must have trained with John Wick to rack the slide of that gun with one hand!!
Melinda achieves astral projection during her crazy dance and sends her rage out to the boat. When she drowns her actual body is still in her room in a white dress and lungs filled with alcohol
Or Tyler Perry didn't know how to finish his movie
The trailer for this movie deceived me. I thought she was getting revenge for him doing her dirty. Man turns out she deserved it and no one to mad at but herself
"Don't get high-pitched guilty."
"Tyler Perry don't hesitate to escalate." - words of wisdom from Korey
I loved how insane this movie was when I watched it because this is the closest that mainstream US film will get to being a straight up Nigerian/Ghanaian drama. Now those movies are CRAZY. So I felt right at home.
A review of acrimony more than DOUBLE the running time of the original?? Oh this will be an afternoon well spent lol
54:20-54:22 I mean to be fair, they got a divorce so I don't think Robert telling Melinda that would be relevant but yeah I can understand that.
"Acrimony and Cheese" killed me 😭
That's a good ending for her because she doesn't have to live in that misery of acrimony forever. She went through alot but she chose it...yet I understand why she felt so betrayed cuz it's the same woman from their college drama...it just makes that wallet suspicion seems true...so no matter what he gave her it wouldn't havw made up for all that mental and psychemotional damage.
OMG "or if you are a normal person, you don't give a shit!" that killed me LOLOLOLOL
