1 content patch every 4 months in path of exile changed my experience and gives me a whole new 4 months of content to engage with

I disagree that bdo is the sole reason they are losing money.
Remember when Blizzards stocks went down and all the gamers thought it was cause nerds everywhere were mad they were making a mobile game?
In reality it was because even investors were expecting Blizzard to announce a new pc/console game and that's why we got a D4 announcement the very next year despite them knowing it wouldn't be a finished product at release and really needed another year but they did it to appease the shareholders since investors were jumping ship.
It had very little if at all to do with gamers being salty. Same with the half assed Overwatch 2 release.
Investors don't give a shit about whether or not the game has open world pvp but they most definitely care about whether the company seems like a safe investment and the main way they do that nowadays is whether or not the company is pumping out new releases.
The amount of people playing your game is still a nice metric but investors really want new product releases. PA has so far failed to do that.
Hey I'm a new Black Desert online player and I've recently gotten back into the game with my friends I play Archer and I recently reached level 55 (I have a 56 Hash) and one day I just got jumped by Musa, Nova and Lahn and didn't know what happened 😂. Just wanted to share my experience with the game and I liked it I just don't understand the systems so my biggest criticism with videos that I feel like they don't explain everything well or at least they don't expand on the ins and outs. Maybe im missing something. Great vid and im subbed now!
I said years ago it would be nice if you could select a spot and set it 1 to 4 players and it would scale. That would hold people for awhile until they could release some meaningful content.

My favourite games as a kid were Faction based games like Twelve Sky where you fought for stones that gave the winning factions buffs like damage buffs til the next faction war, you had to go deep in the other factions biome which got progressively harder as the deeper you went the harder the factions "Guards" became while trying to fight off the factions players and the other faction since there was 3.
How do you recommend players get started with pvp? I hopped into arena of solare practice to get going and my first match was against Nuke from Cho lmfao

Shaky has a bad case of "trust me bro" when he makes the allegations of people getting banned just for flagging.. his friends would have given him clips to use or something to prove the case but even then context matters and doing thing A doesnt mean you were banned for it, it could have been for thing B earlier..

As a PvE player only, I'm really happy with the guild dec change. No more bullying. That's what the game needs. I'm all for letting pvp player have fun fighting each other but don't force it on me
the reroll issue is so real, I love how succ ninja looks, hate the feel of combos with my hands. love way kuno looks but hate how it doesn't hate same kit as ninja :D

people aint bein banned for going red. I been a red ocean player for years now with an occasional dip into land red every now and then. the people who got banned did more than they are admitting to.

I honestly feel like cooking and Alchemy is more effort then grinding and makes barely anything and that’s why I rarely do it and it was the content I enjoyed most but I now only do it when I need worker food or elixir for myself. Going out and gathering the materials takes awhile
the prob with life skilling is the complete lack of gains until you're 1,500 OR MORE mastery.
It's really sad.

yeah this is what most of the "make 3 b per hour just by cooking!" videos dont talk about sometimes, it takes a while to get all the ingredients, i myself find cooking a chore because theres too many dishes you need to make before combining them all into one just for a bit of cash, id rather grind mobs.

@@Anton-mk3ok exactly running around gathering everything can take hours , then u have to cook like 25 other dishes just to get the meals you need for the profitable meal , it definitely needs to be simplified as well as buffed. Like hours of gathering scorpion meats barely gives me anything I think in a 4 hr run I got alil over 1000 scorpion meat and 3000 snake meat and that’s barely anything, but if you gather wolf or Deer meat for simpler stuff ur fine but the bear meat , snake meat , scorpion meat along with allot of other things I can’t think of off top of my head for the profitable stuff can be scarce it can take along time to just get the basics to make the small meals it’s crazy. It definitely feels like a chore especially for the time it takes and amount of money u make.

I don't care about any changes until succ nova gets love (Reworked, fixed, buffed, improved). The succession Nova's concept gives me Chaos Legion vibes and is such a cool angle for a class. It's just sad it's such a fail class atm.

I was honestly so hyped about grinding for Kabua's artifacts but now with the new spot they're dropping in price and available already. I think BDO needs to have some gear progression, that can not be skipped through the CM. Why not make something like Kabua's not sellable i just don't get it.

The one reaon why one-sided dec changes took place is because a lot of players were making new/low gear players quit with their dumb "pvp etiquette" of asking for DFS and not accepting a response other than "Sure." That isnt good for the company as it interferes with possible profit in the long run. If these people complaining really wanted PVP, the same pvp is still there...go to BA, RBF, AoS and ARSHA! But what they really wanted was to stomp on lower gear people to show off their gear superiority...if you want guild wars ask for them in world chat like we used to do in original MMOs...

i have been playing for about 2 months now. a few weeks ago I was grinding blood wolf for potion piece. all seasonal servers were busy on my spot so I went on normal server. about an hour into my grind some dude showed up and typed DFS. had no idea what it meant. before I knew I was getting killed by him and his guild mate. They told my guild master I was Kill on site. one of the funniest shit I've heard in awhile. but yeah wasn't a pleasant experience for a new player
tbf, the only reason there will be no transmog is that PA want to monetize good fashion from pearl shop. they dont have time to develop cool armors since its free content for the players
regarding the dungeons NA server barely do any on the open recruit. just comparison EU makes aprox. 30 times more dugeons on the open recruit. difference is insane. (and what's more insane is several times i did the dungeons on NA i ended up actually being with at least half group eu players and they told me more EU players make dungeons on NA servers than NA players. And yes I mean active times for NA, which is my early to late night and morning)
I’ve never seen atorax party matching give me anything, so I really do think they need to make the dungeons soloable for weekly rewards. I don’t wanna be locked out of them just because nobody does the dungeon.

Only thing I want changed in this game, which I think would double the size of player base is RNG attempts on each gear. What I mean is if you attempt to enhance so many times you get a token and then after so many tokens you get to change it for the next enhanced gear. Look I suck, I mean I really suck at RNG. Just on this play through It took me 30 tries to go from Tet to Pen on my Tuvala Gloves. I burned through all the con stones I got this season along with half a billion on purchasing it. I burned a Valk for 80+ five times. I really suck at RNG. That is why I just play to level a Season Character over and over again. I have pretty much lived in Gana as my end game content. Shrooms are us...

I think BDO should not focus on Raids Dungeons etc. unless they specifically dont lock progress behind those. The biggest charm on BDO imho is that yes while progress takes time, u can sit out content without your gear being hard gutted and being devaluated because new dungeon gear came out. for Party content, it is far from unrewarding grinding a rotation for example Crypt with a friend and havin on ordered looting, we both gain more than soloing and it was way easier to survive pre nerf, same for other endgamespots grab your friend put on ordered looting and shittalk while duogrinding. did that for darkseekers and the grind was way more enjoyable. Yes my friend dropped his flame and artefact first and i was happy for him and we continued till we both got what we needed. All in all there should be an option to turn spots into duospots if youre in a party should be possible since they did that with elvia as seperate instances. Other Party content i would only like if they dont make them mandatory for progress like in blade n soul where every major upgrade invaluated your gear as BiS and you would need perma groups to progress
adding dungeons and raids doesn't mean that gear progression has to be bound to it , they could have other kind of loot.
As a pve and life skiller the game feels like mmo when I go to world bosses lol and when I am afk life skilling in town 😂

@@KozarrX one of the core messages Shaky had for the video is open world pvp is 'dead' because you can get reported for going red while providing no evidence. That is why people are hating on this video. it is literally one of his major points.
He did have some decent ideas in the video, but a lot of Shaky's content is 'pvp seal clubbing' and lying about crap to push his own vision of the game. He doesn't get hate for no reason.

I loved the pvp in Tera and participated in it and had fun, Blade and Soul also has faction pvp in which you equipt your faction costume and pvp is ON...if you want to take it off you need at least 5s and not be attacked to have pvp OFF and I also pvpd in BnS and loved it too...but BDO...good lord no

PA, like any other company, wants to attract more players every day, i bet u the numbers of 500~600 gs players are way higher than the 700+ ones. And to have the so to say "noobs" getting blasted everywhere Its bad for the game on a long run. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they removed the ability to flag in the open world so all PvP is in instanced things like RBF and AOS, or node wars

New Spots like Ulukita are lazy content - just more hitting mobs endlessly until you get 100 Embers. They need more engaging and MMO content that feels rewarding for the end game player.
Getting randomly attacked while trying to do grinding is not fun! Why can't people PVP people who want to fight?
There are actual options for that, either A: don't level past 50, or B: stay on a non-pvp season server

@@Megasaurass I definitely agree with that, being on the receiving end of griefing is always a bad day but I feel like most of the time unless you're at a highly contested spot no one will really bug you, and if you are well then it's rough. Like I said there are other possible options if you just never want to pvp

Disagree about the classes. We have chronic RR because they keep releasing new classes that a broken not because the player base doesnt relate to a class
One the the big things FF14 has going for it is a the endgame farm for cosmetic gear, the running joke has always been you know you're at end game when you you drop 100M on a cosmeitc set just to look good. BDO has a much better char models then ff14 and good cosmeitc gear to farm in game will keep player around and playing for a long time.
When Asmon started FF14 1000s of new player joined up with in days of him moving to FF14 for like 1/2 a year. the game saw one of the biggest wow player migration to ff14 in years that year. So ya CC can play a big roll in a game life now a days (mind you he cant do that one a big game like FF14 ) but smaller game for sure.
On every MMO I've played, endgame/old players are often considered a problem from a business standpoint. These players have already mastered the game, know how to make money, and have acquired a lot of items and gear. This means they are utilizing the infrastructure without needing to spend money. As a result, developers may not prioritize listening to them. Instead, they are more likely to listen to new players who are spending money to gear up, purchase cosmetics, and enhance their items. Once these new players reach the endgame, they may be politely encouraged to leave, as their opinions may not carry as much weight.
Complaining won't change anything, money speaks louder.
The dungeons do not have good enough rewards period. For the time they take complete and the homework of getting a group its abysmal.
A bit late, but I'm going to disagree with adding more classes. At some point, it becomes impossible to balance, and I feel like there should be work in balancing and also fleshing out classes to feel more depth; instead of encouraging people to reroll into a million classes, encourage them to learn a class very deeply.
Ex. Why are all frontal guards and super armors the same? Why can't the width of the FG depend on the skill? Why can't super armors vary in resistance to ccs and damage?

They could've done so much with the artifact system, instead of making a single BiS why not just make it so that darkseekers drops a MATERIAL that will make the BiS instead, and to make the BiS itself player can combine different yellow artifacts + the aforementioned material and the resulting artifact would have the stats of the combined artifacts but on steroid. this effectively make the artifact system way more interesting and you can have tons of artifact combinations and you can even add min-maxing effects on top of that, but instead Pearl Abyss with their pea brain game designers are just too dumb to understand what makes a good content.
the biggest reason why BDO is not a major MMO despite having great combat and graphics is that the gameplay loop is just simply fking boring.
All content is BDO can be summed up into "Making Money", but why you want to make money? so you can upgrade your gear. but why would you upgrade your gear? so you can make more money.
compare that to FFXIV or WoW where gear is not the point of the game, gear is just a means to an end you want to gear up because you want to do Ultimate raid or mythic/heroic. why do you want to do ultima raid or heroic? because they are fun, they drops sick ass cosmetics, and they drops essentially the BiS weapons.
in BDO you run around in a circle making 1B/hour for 1000Hours so you have money to upgrade your gears, so you can run around in a circle making 1.4B/hour so you have money to upgrade your gears, so you can run around in a circle making 1.6B/hour so on and so forth, the game loop is just giga cringe and boring.
I just came back to the game this week after a year off...I can't even express how disappointed I am in the pvp changes since I've been gone. I have been a perma red player for 4 years on my Sorc, I come back and now my character isnt red anymore? Karma being family bound has made being red near impossible when it was already so punishing. Now this with the GvG changes, bro wtf??? I thought this was a pvp game, not a pve grind fest game.

BDOs super good combat system, really nice boobies and class design, but you get shitty desync, underwhelming pve content, basicaly no group content, lackluster guild activities,
or
Throne and liberty - pretty much next gen version of WoWs combat, but you get dynamic open world activies with random players, your guild, better pve content, game filled with group content, dynamic and pretty much no loading screen exploration with draw distance like in red dead redemption, premium currency system that even f2p players can make selling ingame items to paying players ( cant buy enhanced items with money only base versions, imagine that in bdo) optimised for next gen systems with no loading screens and smooth immersive gameplay mechanics for exploration, ( fucking MOUNTS other than horses ) , you can transform into other forms like magical panther/birds, also really nice looking character models with decent customization unlike ( ashes of creation or new world looking ah goofy ah models)

as someone that has always been mainly pvp and only grind to pvp better, i used to hate shakybay because he was lame compared to everyone else, but now looking at how entitled and karen everyone else has gotten, shakybay is like a ray of hope for people that want to play a game, not an interactive pve movie.

the solution for this is to revert back to the old pvp/open world pvp/guild dec etc, and make karma recovery really really hard. it will be fun for babies who cries for being harassed because of the consequence their perpetrators will get, it will be fun for pvp guys, and griefers will think twice

Silver to pearl..pearl to silver will make this game absolutely unplayable! He wants the ultimate p2w system that will have everyone leave the game except whales! One of the reason people stay imo is because compared to other Asian mmorpg BDO isn’t Pearl to silver …silver to Pearl system and you actually have a way to progress and make silver pretty easily as long as you put in the time and work
Yeah, us Console players get really annoyed at times but PA have said they’re gonna give us our next gen update this year and try better, we’ll see.

Open world PvP shouldn't boil down to " I don't want to put myself at risk because the other person refuses dfs or ignores me so i will dec his entire guild with a high likelyhood of harrasing even more players as a result for hours/days or even weeks "...just silly player behavior hence why we got such changes.
With that being said open world PvP hasn't turned for the worst, quite the opposite it has become better even for some one as myself being a negative karma player for many years.

I got ganked by a pvp'r at the Bloodstorm fight. This player just waded into the server and just started massacring everyone in sight. Afterwards I whispered the player and asked why they did that. They actually responded and told me that they were bored and PK'ing is a game mechanic. I told them, why don't they participate in the Solares Arena League where they could get a PvP challenge. The player laughed at me and said that would not be fun for them. That's when I realized that open world PvP needs to come to an end outside Node Wars.
Unless he’s harassing people I don’t really see a problem with what he did. Everyone died, then spent maybe a couple seconds of their life reviving.

PA is slowly moving away from open world PvP because honestly this type of behavior doesn't entice new players to play but rather turn them off.
@@Bronwyn031 If it was a one-time death, it's not considered griefing though. Griefing involves the repeated and negative interruption of a player's gaming experience. If he's killing everyone over and over and/or targeting players, then I would view that as harassment.
if you say PA watches your United Nations BDO videos, you should have an episode of suggesting content like what you just talked about with cosmetic rewards, etc.... so that PA at least hears it.
Also, of course P2W matters in this game. You spend more, you can get more CRONS and it gives you MORE chances than your average joe at the chance to upgrade your gear without penalty. Anyone denying this is just flat out lying.

With marnie realm i would say bdo is a MSO ( Massive Singleplayer Online game ). I get that ppl wanted to be left alone while doing PVE content but i believe that could have been fixed with more servers or larger mob areas/options. Also i miss the old party days, the new party spots are a great addition but i would like to see some new spots that allow some braindead farming with large mob packs to allow for party grinds, a bit like old school sausans or pirates. The point is that it would be a viable option to go do this with some friends and just go do your thing, get some "OK" silver out of it and call it a day. It being somewhere between mid and end game silver per hour for example. To top things of, having the spot be easily farmable allows players to also solo it, giving players the " im going here to play and il tag ppl along with me as i go" vibe, it gives back the "Multiplayer" feel. I say all this because all the party content is party "only" content today and id like to see incentive to create parties for content in general instead of having these "i have to make a party" areas. An example would be having this spot be 1bill/h solo and 1,1-1,2b/h in a group due to the extra kills and party looting system. Allowing incentive for players to both grind alone and or tag along others that show up, instead of dueling and only solo grinding or only party grinding.
Lastly, this idea came from being an almost capped endgame player but wanting to play with friends at various levels of gear and so i think a reasonable ap range should be 270-280 to clear the mobs with 2-3 skills and 280-300+ to 1-2 skill the mobs. A reasonable silver range being 800-900m/h at the low end ( comparable to orcs and upper gyfin with that ap ) and 900-1,2b at the higher end with more gear ( comparable to lower gyfin, darkseeker, hexe and so on ), somewhere between not the worst nor the best but id do it to chill with my buddies. Content like this adds tons of interactions between players.
ngl ur so dumb, a game where you have to option to go in an INSTANCE TO GRIND does not mean it's single player.......

Have you played literally ANY successful MMO? It has instanced pve content.
At no point in BDO do I ever feel like i'm playing a single player game, but the only pvp content I enjoy in bdo is organized so having the option to not be griefed cosntantly while grinding is a W.
I hate the wilderness in Runescape too and if they removed it i would be happy but a handful of pvper's would be assmad.
Runescape wouldn't be a 'MSO' as you say because they remove one aspect of pvp in the game that 95% of the playerbase doesn't care about.

I don't know what u ppl talking about marrini realm. I play this game since console launch never even went to marina realm even once..if spot is taken I switch server or go other spot. I grind accessory drops my self plenty of spots to switch between. Hour ther 2 hours there 5h there not stuck on one zone

This game desperately needs MORE pve group activities and make the ones already implemented waaaaaayy more rewarding. They need to drop all that bs about emotes being distracting. If only they could look at ... Idk .... ESO. the MMO that has been destroying them now for years. "RP" stuff doesn't distract from revenue and it brings even more people into the game. It might even make a good chunk of the playerbase more happy. What we have is a bunch of socially shut away people who stew in their own madness against the game. If you have fun things to do with friends and guildies ... That goes a loooong way in a "MMO". The guild shrine bosses are a HUGE step in the right direction, especially with the whole guild manor thing too. Of course most BDO players don't think that deeply, trust me it makes a huge difference in this genre.
14:04 Yeah I actually got my first T10 on my 5th attempt 3.8%. Never crafted a single mythical censer a day in my life. Just got the free 5 from the event. Sometimes you just win.
you shouldn't have to rely on RNG you should just get it after 10 tries because it's the equiviliant of tossing away 700-1b or something like that in time/money
the game would be more fun if there where real tanks that dont do to mutch dmg the dps that die easy if not peeled from the pvp assasins that dont do well in pve and the monster zones from 240ap and up that need at least 3to grind there what we have is a solo mmo that is so f grindy but u only have 1or 2 spots that are good just feel f boring wish they made moba or smg with bdo mechanics cuz combat is out of this world
Coming from an MMO background almost only focused around largesccale, and getting "baited" into trying BDO in 2016 then playing it on and off, I think it's pretty safe to say that BDO will probably never break into being anything more than a "singleplayer experience in an mmo world". The whole approach and motto of "time is money" mixed with almost endless progression makes for a deadlock grip on the potential and will keep BDO in it's current place imo.
Yes, there could be more party grindspot and activities to enforece a social playing experience for new players like in other mmos with public quests in areas, lowerlevel bracketed pvp battlegrounds and what we see in traditional MMOs. But the "time is money" makes these pieces of content fall flat and the players who come to BDO will get a solo experience from they enter till the perhaps find a guild, and that, will be some of their first multiplayer interaction in the game. Creating an unfamiliar roleassignment situation and suddenly facing a learning curve of how to play your solo game, with others, briefly..
Adding more dungeons, groupactivities and guild raids/bosses can work as long as its rewarding but one of BDO's advantages is keeping the game down, but having sandboxie endless progression where the clock is constantly ticking.
The combat is often refered to as the main drive of the game for the genre, but it comes at the cost of potentially bad performance in largescale with desyncs. Tabtarget mmos for many BDO players probably sound unheard of to return to, but realisticly there are other MMOs where you can pvp from lvl1, have argubly better largescale pvp, And your wallet will not be under constant siege from the company behind. Games such as Return of Reckoning - Warhammer Online private server running for 8 years now. And the older Dark Age of Camelot game on the Eden private server, these games spring to mind as older but truer MMOrpgs with their own set of challenges surely, but they hold values BDO will probably never reach with its current model.
EVE Online solved sandbox endless progression before you were born and holds the values you dont like. But that game is too difficult for noobs like you so now we have bdo. Truly unlucky, I guess we wont have another sandbox mmo for another 10 years
