This, is a really good overview of utilising a DAW setup and a tightly-integrated keyboard controller to good effect, thanks. I am going to browse and see if there is an explanation of MIDI mapping now, it's all a bit of a black art at the moment to me. This though, explains perfectly why it's a hundred times better than trying to hammer your QWERTY keys and your mouse, having a MIDI keyboard/pad controller, so thanks again. This is after all, the crux, the absolute kernel of what a DAW and some hardware is about - yet hard to find examples of it, your edit of a small screen insert and so on, is practical and surpremely informative. Good Job Maestro!
I got one a few days ago. I nor8cd After setting it up, I have to hold the record button to record, and it's the same thing for the loop button as well. How do I change that?
I got one for 60 bucks used in good condition and also the original axom on a two tier keyboard stand and for drum pads i use mpd218 and nanopad together
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me how to turn off the velocity, sensitive keys? I think mine is set as default and I have to press hard on each key for full volume. Thanks
Hey Reuben! i was wondering should i go for the code 25 or this (or something else) ? even though it is quiet a bit more expensive and big in size...i love the premium and analong finish to it...please let me know your thoughts on this
AWESOME! This made my day - THX, R! (I’ve got the previous model M-AUDIO Axiom Pro 49 and its almost too much. You think the 25 is huge? I’m thinking of going to an AKAI MPD to save space)
Hey Reuben nice video. I know it is late but I have a question to ask. When i first got this midi i mapped some keys to trigger things i dont want. How exactly do i remove these presets? I have tried retting the keyboard but the presets still remain. Please let me know if you have any advice.
Reuben, awesome. Just the right amount of talking, explanation and demonstration. Done for the purpose. Really good and please keep it up!
Ruben, thanks for posting this. It's really helpful and easy to understand. You're a great teacher!

@Reuben/Anyone: Any idea if this is compatible with Mac OS 10.15? Connected and nothing would work - Having to return it via amazon.
yes
@@ZennyKravitz thanks zenny. I guess I’d received a faulty piece.

-Awesome review. Are you able to transpose the keybed om the axiom air, if so can you describe how it's done.
yeah just press the octave button together, and instead of the octave shifting function, it'll be the pitch shifting.

The Axiom is a little dated and I'm not a fan for its huge size. If there's a good offer, sure. Otherwise, i'd prefer the Code
@@reubenchng Thanks a lot!
Does it have MIDI sequencer?
Amazing video bro

Which DAW are you using? There would be a chance to map it manually.
@@reubenchng hey, I am using cubase 8.5
very good
How do the pads go in ordered 1-16
Great vid, does the producing software come with the keyboard?
It comes with Ableton Lite which isn't worth using, really. It's best if you go for a full-fledged software early on.
the only one thing i don't really like of this device is that the pads are not mapping full drum racks properly. somebody solved this problem ??
Hi Reuben, thanx for your review. Is axiom air 25 better than code 25 ?
is it work with protools mac?
alaa barka yes definitely!
thanks
it is soo huge tough
