We were there in London when he performed. My friend and I were just coming out of the National Gallery and we were headed somewhere else and were just drawn in. We looked at each other and just stopped. It was like something out of a movie where everyone in the entire square seemed to pause, and draw closer, mesmerized. It was one of the most magical moments I’ve ever experienced. Song after song he was amazing.
Saw him as I came out of the National Gallery on Friday and it lifted my spirits massively, not that I was low but this was a wonderful event sonI stayed and listed for a while and bought his cd. Great find.
Every time I watch this video I'm appalled at how many people can be seen walking by without a pause or even a glance, smh, I swear they must be soulless individuals, utterly incapable of hearing or recognizing beauty, I feel so sad for them :?( If I were walking by anywhere, no matter what I was doing or how much of a hurry I was in, or even if I was late for my own WEDDING, hearing this would cause me to come to a halt, and remain frozen on the spot until the very last note echoed away, lol, I just think it's that incredibly beautiful ;?)
As a musician, pianist /drummer, who adores Bach/handel /telemann /Vivaldi, etc etc and or pachelbel hehe,, anything that's baroque like this is,, this actually moved me to tears, but tears of absolute awe,, incredible!!!! 😍🎤🎼🎤🎼🎤,, ps also old school jungle, but that's another genre /subject, hehe, if I was there, I'd be there for hours listening,, 😊😊
very very good i love the orcestral version of it, but this is real street performing/busking and these people should be paid for giving a peformance like this, keep it mate 👍.
Yesterday my dad saw this video... He noticed that Cam Nicholson seemed to use a sampler for this. If he didn't press any button, then how do these things work?
It's like Simon Cowell often used to say during X Factor auditions: "Did it ever occur to you just to sing the original tune of that?" Or in this case play the tune.
Is that supposed to mean you don't appreciate Cam's take??? I've heard a lot of folks don't like it because its uptempo take isn't at all what they're used to when they think of Pachelbel's Canon, but IMHO this is one of the BEST versions of this amazing song and exactly because it's closer to the actual HISTORICAL sound of the Canon according to how Pachelbel composed it, its upbeat pace really is closer to the original than all the SLLLOOOOOOWWW and even somber versions that are so popular today. Of course Cam did also add an amazing twist that's reminiscent Appalachian fiddle music, but that's the brilliant part I feel ;?)
Why would you put your bow in your mouth and pluck in guitar position? I just- ahhhhh I guess it makes since if you have to hold the microphone, but I still just can'ttttt. My teachers have practically crammed the idea into our brains that we should never pizzacato in guitar position. Really beautiful though.
I guess when you're layering up sounds like Cam does, then you use everything that you can lay your hands on! It definitely gives his music an extra dimension.

I saw this man in London two years ago. And unexpectedly I saw him in Sydney recently. His performance was great.
I saw him Melbourne as well.
Poor people who walk in the background. No one stands still for a moment and just enjoy this... amazing guy! *thumbs up*
there might have been people in front of him
Lot of people in the city are busy. No disrespect to the musician intended.

Loop pedals - he's pressing things with his foot throughout.
His feet. Pedals

I'd say get that stick out of your butt, forget what your teachers taught you and just enjoy the artistry ;?)
@@russell2449 😅😅😅😅
There is always that one person..🙄...you must not be able to play , I don't see you out there idiot
Because fuck the rules - thank you. CN
Lol he's a master at fooling everyone, he is not really playing the violin, he's playing a recording, and pretending to play.
ccc ccc it’s a loop pedal
yeah ik I saw him like not rubbing the stick against the violin for a second and the violin was still playing
Go and look up Cam Nicholson, or feel free to come to one of his shows. We can give you tickets.
