@@susi-emily he really is incredible, I had first met him at the Europeans and had sent him a message on Cameo about 8 months before and he remembered who I was from that message! Really incredible memory and also a lovely guy!
A couple of interesting things: Ian Wynn-Mackenzie's first appearance was against Anthony Martin and Anthony won 161-151 (I think, but it was one of the best ever finals) but Ian was invited back as a player that would otherwise have got to the grand final. Simon Holme's first appearance was against double reigning champion Leslie Booth. In a tough final where Simon lost two lives early on, he won and went on to make 10+ more appearances.

He's so young here too. I knew his quizzing history was from 15 to 1, but had only seen him on Eggheads. He has got a memory like no other.
